Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Apple Bloom and her friends have really been making themselves known lately. There's not a single thing under the sun that those fillies haven't tried their hooves at. I mean, Twilight usually keeps me pretty busy and stuff, but those three? Yeesh! I couldn't imagine doing all that stuff in a single day! And they're all doing it to get their cutie marks, which they haven't managed to do just yet. I don't think I've ever met anypony who was as obsessed with getting cutie marks as those three. It's one of those things about ponies that I don't think I'll ever understand. I mean, I'm a dragon, and I'll never get one, but you don't see me worrying about that.

Still, I guess I can't fault them for wanting something this badly. And hey, they're all working really hard to make it happen. I wonder if I should help them? Nah, they'd probably just drag me into some crazy scheme, and frankly, I have enough craziness just dealing with Twilight and her friends in my life thank you very much. I wonder what they're gonna do in the talent show tonight? Everypony's excited to see what the kids of the town all come up with, and I've gotta say, I'm pretty excited too. It might be fun, and maybe I should volunteer to help out with it?

Gotta go, Diary. I think I might go over and see if there's anything I can do.
