Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today, I became the greatest hero Ponyville has ever known! Well, aside from when Twilight saved us all from Night Moon. And yeah, there was that time Fluttershy got that dragon to leave. And okay, I guess Pinkie saved us from parasprites once. But today, I was the hero! It all began when Rarity and I were looking for gems. All of a sudden, these ~~three~~ ~~five~~ ~~ten~~ twenty monsters showed up! They were big dogs with massive teeth and claws, ready to do all sorts of horrible things to us. But I, the brave dragon that I am, leapt into action. I blew my great fire and scorched about five of them in one breath! But alas, I didn't notice that the others had captured Rarity while I was distracted. But fear not! For I had a plan to rescue my fair lady back from their clutches!

I returned to Ponyville, to enlist the aid of my trusted friends. And together, we heroically ventured into the lair of the monsters. We fought tooth and nail past endless legions of them, and at the end of it all, there she was. Rarity, in all her elegant splendour, eyes fluttering as she saw her rescuer approach. And to make things better, turned out she'd actually managed to convince some of those things to not be such a bunch of jerks to her while she was their prisoner, so hey, go Rarity! We returned to the surface, and I was rewarded by the taste of a delicious gem. And so ends to heroic tale of Spike the Brave!

Oh, and I was wearing a cape during all this. Just wanted to make sure that was clear.
