Dear Diary,

So, turns out the Tree of Harmony might not be quite as dead as we first thought. Yeah, I'm just as surprised. I'd have thought getting spiked by a bunch of evil black crystals would do it in too, but nope! You see, last year, during that whole school debacle, six of the students, Sandbar, Silverstream, Ocellus, Gallus, Yona and Smolder managed to get some sort of connection to the Tree, and that connection led them back here before the new school year. They were pretty upset to learn the Tree had been destroyed, not that I can blame them, but they endeavoured to try and make some sort of monument to it. Good for them, and hey, I'm kinda surprised Twilight and the others didn't think of that.

But this is where things got interesting, because after disagreeing on how to do it, they all came together and made basically a tree-house out of the Tree's remains. When they did this, something happened, and now we actually have a new palace for them and others sprouted up where the old Tree used to be. It's sort of like how Twilight's castle was grown years ago. So yeah, seems Sombra wasn't able to get rid of it after all, and while I'm happy about that, I can't deny that it's still a little weird. I mean, just when you think you know what the Tree can and can't do, suddenly it pulls something like this on you!

Still, I'm happy it's still with us. Sort of. I guess we'll find out just how much one day, knowing Twilight.
