Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

I'm sorry to report that Twilight has gone into a bit of a nostalgic mood today. She and the other mares were talking to the CMC today about how they all got their cutie marks, and after they were done, Twilight came home and gave me a big hug. I've got no problem with that, but then she went on about drudging up my old baby pictures, and all those photos of when she and I were little. She almost had tears in her eyes as she looked over it. Although, if i'm being honest, I kinda felt the same way. I couldn't help but smile as I looked over those pictures.

I may not understand cutie marks all that much, but I do understand how important it is to feel like you belong somewhere, or to find something you feel that you should be doing in your life. I feel that way all the time, when I'm with Twilight. She's my family, and when I'm with her, helping her out with whatever it is she's doing, I'm always at my happiest. But, er, don't tell her I said that. I'd never see the end of those hugs.

Anyways, gotta go. Twilight's just called. I think she found another photo album. So prepare for an hour or so of her gushing over it.
