Dear Diary,

You know how most people would get themselves a pet by maybe going to a shelter or possibly going to just your average pet store? Well, turns out Rainbow Dash never got the memo on that one because her way of doing it involved nothing less than a deadly obstacle course through a dangerous canyon! And all because she was looking for the coolest and most awesome pet she could find. I know that cool and impressive stuff is kind of her thing, but it's not really something you should focus on when looking for an animal to live with you. But, at least she learned that lesson in the end, because she actually did manage to get a pet out of this, and a really good one too!

Wanna know what it was? A hawk? An eagle? Maybe a ~~terro~~ ~~terra~~ pterodactyl? Nope! Turns out Rainbow's idea pet was a tortoise! Yep, no joke. His name's Tank, and even though he's the slowest thing I've ever seen in my life, he's really nice. Rainbow certainly likes him, which makes sense given that he saved her life in that canyon, and I think the two are really gonna get along well together. Kinda makes me with I had a pet of my own. It might be nice. Oh, but don't tell Fluttershy about that, because she was kinda scary when she started obsessing over the thought of Rainbow getting one.

Well, guess we'll see how Tank fares as Rainbow's pet. Hey, maybe he'll calm her down a bit.
