Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today, Ponyville saw two new arrivals. Mr and Mrs Cake have just had their children delivered! It's a colt and a filly, named Pound and Pumpkin. I got a chance to see them at the hospital, after everypony else had already seen them, and I swear, they are the tiniest little things you've ever seen! They were both asleep at the time, which was fine, but I bet they'll be opening their eyes and playing around in no time. Oh, and you should've seen Pinkie Pie going on and on about them! The way she tells it, its like these two babies are the best thing to ever happen in the history of ever! Though, in her defence, seeing some adorable babies would make anypony gush uncontrollably, and if it didn't, well, I guess those ponies just don't have a soul or something.

I wonder if I might be asked to look after them one day? Pinkie certainly seems to hope to do that eventually. Did ponies fawn over me when I was that age? Or maybe just Twilight? Probably. I mean, I've seen the way she looks at my baby pictures, so I bet she spent days just squealing over me when I was first born. Anyways, I'm really happy for Mr and Mrs Cake. They're very nice ponies and I'm glad they're so happy about their new kids.

And hey, guess this means I'm not the baby of Ponyville anymore, so there's that too.
