Dear Diary,

Today, I'm on library-watch duty again. This time, it's because our friends are all going off to Canterlot to deliver a very important, not to mention enormous cake to a contest there. Pinkie is super-stoked about it, and you know that mare loves her desserts, so there's no chance that cake isn't making it to the capital. And words can't do that thing justice, but you should know anyway that it was, without question, the biggest and tastiest-looking cake I have ever seen in my life. And given some of the cakes I've seen Pinkie bake in the past, that's really saying something.

So yeah, I'm alone here today, so I've got plenty of time to catch up on my comics. Oh, and I'm also thinking of trying this new recipe for soup that I saw in one of the cook-books we've got around here. Might need to go to the store to get some oregano though, since we got pretty low after that pizza I made at the weekend. I hope Twilight and the others have a fun time over at that contest, and hey, if there's any of the cake left over, maybe they'll save some for me?

Oh who am I kidding? Everypony knows Pinkie will just scoff every single piece of it. Seriously, that mare has one major sweet tooth!
