Dear Diary,

I respect and admire Princess Celestia a great deal. I want that on record for when I say this. Because sometimes, she can do things that just make me want to bang my head against a table. Today was just one such day, as she decided that it might be a good idea to try and reform, of all people, Discord. Yes, the take-over-Equestria-and-plunge-it-into-chaos guy that Twilight dealt with a while back. Well, she freed him, and immediately he was being trouble. Fluttershy specifically was chosen to keep watch on him, but even though she was doing her best, he was still causing mischief all over the place. Things came to a head when he actually convinced her to give up her Element, and he just announced he was not gonna change.

But then, something weird happened. He actually started to look sorry for upsetting her. And he turned everything back to normal. Seems that, in spite of everything, being Fluttershy's friend actually had an impact on him. I know, I'd have never believed it, but there it is. So yeah, turns out Discord's gonna be free from here on out. Not sure how I feel about that, but I'm glad Twilight and the others have the Elements close by. You know, in case of any lapses.

This is gonna be a pretty weird thing to live with, I'll say that much.
