Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

I've been telling ponies all my life how great Twilight is at magic, and now everypony knows it! This other unicorn, Trixie, she came along and tried to wow us all with her spells, but I knew they were nothing compared to what Twilight could do. But, humble mare she is, she didn't get involved. She'd have probably spent Trixie's whole time here just avoiding her if she had the choice, and I guess I can't blame her. But, there was kind of a teensy-weensy little....okay major disaster. A couple of local colts, Snips and Snails, they tried to get in Trixie's good books by bringing in an Ursa Major into town. I don't need to tell you how ponies reacted to this.

Well, Ursa Minor actually, as Twilight said. And you know what? She actually beat the thing all by herself! You should've seen it, Diary! Even I've never seen her do magic that great, and Trixie was utterly gobsmacked by it! She ran off soon after, don't know where she's gonna go though. Heck, I don't even know why she's running. She didn't let the monster in, it was those two colts! Why do I hang out with them again? Oh well, at least I got a sweet-looking moustache out of the whole thing.
