Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

There's been a lot of stuff going on right now, so I don't have time to talk too much about it. Seems this big dangerous guy from thousands of years ago, Tirek, got himself free and is now causing problems for everypony. Celestia decided to send Discord out to find him, but we haven't heard back from him yet. Twilight's pretty worried, and I can't really blame her. Usually this is her kind of job, and Discord hasn't exactly been the most reliable guy since he was freed. Still, Celestia has faith in him, so I guess we should too. What's more, Twilight and the others have been learning more about the Tree of Harmony, so maybe that'll help?

Everypony's really on edge at the moment, so there's no telling what's gonna happen or when. But I'm confident it'll all work out. It always does after all. Anyway, I'm gonna sign off early. Twilight's acting a bit weird right now, even more so than usual at times like this, and I think it's best if I'm available for whatever she needs. Oh, and I think that, for now, I'm just gonna hide you away somewhere. Maybe under my bed.

Don't worry, you'll be safe. Because let's face it, what are the chances this big centaur guy is gonna go out of his way to wreck some little dragon's bed?
