3 months later ...

(Rainbow Dash POV)

The months have been very stressful, and the more time passed the more my belly grew. Soarin has been very protective of me. Especially my pregnancy. One time he almost hit a stallion when he knocked me to the ground while I was 7 months pregnant. Now I was 9 months pregnant, which meant that it was only 2 months before the baby was born, and I was still trying to get used to the idea of being a mom soon. But luckily Soarin always supports me with everything I need, and I consider myself a lucky mare for having someone like him in my life.

The only bad thing even during all these months, is the part of that I can not do any kind of practice we Wonderbolts. Yes, from my 4th month of pregnancy Spitfire had given me a maternity leave so that I would stay out of the Wonderbolts for at least 6 months after the foal was born. And it was killing me. Because after all, flying was my passion, and now I just had to stay home without flying, that was very annoying.

Now I was packing at home to go to the Sugarcube Conner for my foal's baby shower. (Foals in fact)

I had only invited a few ponies that I had more relationship with. My friends + Starlight, Cutie Mark Crusaders, Spitfire, Fleetfoot, Trixie and my mother Windy Whistles.

Soarin will be staying here at home with some stallions for part of the male baby shower. I knew they were coming: Wave Chill, Rapidfire, Lightning Streak, Flash Sentry, Cheese Sandwich, Discord, Spike, Big Maintosh and my father Bow Hothoof.

"Soarin I'm leaving, I'll see you later" I said as I prepared to leave the house.

"Okay dear, and good for the baby shower" he said.

"You too, Bye!" I said as I prepared to take off, until two hooves stopped me.

"No Dashie! This is your 9th month of pregnancy, I can not let you fly under these conditions!"

I just rolled my eyes

"Soarin I'll be fine, believe me I'm Rainbow Dash after all, is not it? I can take care of myself" I said.

"I know but the doctor said that you can not fly much so do not put pressure on your body because-" He started

"It can cause serious damage to the twins, yes yes I know you do not have to keep reminding me"

"So?"

"Or trust me, I'll be well promised"

"Alright .... But anything is just whispering my name okay?"

I smiled and nodded. After that I leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.

"Do not do any nonsense at home while I'm gone, okay?" I said and he nodded after that I started to take off up the sky towards the Sugarcube Conner.

"Rainbow! You finally arrived, we were all waiting for you," Pinkie Pie said while she, Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Starlight, Trixie, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Spitfire, Fleetfoot and my mother Windy Whistles, were sitting at a large table sipping tea and cookies.

"Yes, I'm sorry for the delay" I said as I tucked a hoof behind my head.

"Oh do not worry about it Darling, sit down" Rarity said.

I nodded and sat down at a vacant table.

"Crash, did you leave Soarin alone at home with several other stallions? Are you sure that was a good idea?" Said Spitfire

"Oh trust me, Soarin has been very responsible with this sort of thing. I'm sure it's okay" I said.

"I hope" she said

We spent a lot of time talking about various subjects. Until it came from the personal memories of my friends.

"Here, Rainbow, I've brought some things you'll need for when the baby is born. You know? Diapers, talcum, blanket, etc...."

"Thank you Twilight, that means a lot" I said.

"My turn, look at that Rainbow. I made beautiful clothes for your foal, oh Darling your foal will look beautiful in that!" Rarity said

"Thank you Rarity"

"I brought some toys for your foal ... I hope this helps" said Fluttershy

"Thank you Fluttershy, certainly will"

"Look Sugarcubbe, I worked day and night to do it but I finally got it. Look I made a cradle for your foal" said Applejack pointing to the crib in the corner of the room.

"Oh Applejack did not need it, I really appreciate it ..." I said

"It was nothing Dash" she said.

"Now look at Rainbow, I have a great fun kit for baby colts and some Sugarcube Conner cookies, I hope you like it!" Said Pinkie Pie

"Thank you Pinkie" I said.

"Here Rainbow Dash Trixie and I know you're very fond of reading Daring Do so I got a special edition for you to read to your foals every night before bed" Starlight said, handing me a book

"Yes, and once again, congratulations on the foal" said Trixie.

"Thank you so much Starlight, Thank you Trixie" I said.

"This is a gift from the three of us to you Rainbow Dash, I hope you enjoy it" Scootaloo said as she, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle carried a big heart with several baby stuff and Mommy stuff.

"Thank you girls" I said.

"It was really hard to get this but in the end we got it here" Fleetfoot said as she and Spitfire handed me two Wonderbolt little clothes.

"Wow ..... That's amazing!" I said hello

"Yes, I hope you enjoy Crash" Spitfire said.

"I loved it, thank you Spitfire and Fleetfoot" I said.

"Here my dear, I've had this since you were born, I think it will now fit for your foals" my mother said as she handed me two small pairs of woolen shoes.

"Wow, you still have it?" I said

"Of course darling! I could never throw something from my little Dashie out, it would mean a lot to me and your father" she said.

I smiled and hugged her.

"Thank you Mommy" I said.

"Rainbow Dash? When will the foals really be born?" Asked Sweetie Belle

"In 2 monthsq" I said as I began to rub my huge belly

"This is going to be really cool, I would never think that one day you would become a mother! I always thought you were too cool for these things" said Scootaloo

"Yes Scoots, but as they say, life is full of surprises, even good ones. Although I'm still a little nervous about this whole thing, I know it will be worth it after all. get those little ones here in my hooves" I said as I gently rubbed my stomach
