Chapter 10 Part 1: Diamonds!

I woke up and looked to the side of me to see Celestia sleeping peacefully beside me. She was nuzzling her pillow and clutching it close to her chest; she slowly opened her eyes then got out of bed. I soon followed, getting a pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt on. I walked in the kitchen and looked at the calendar to see what day it was. Seeing as it was Tuesday and the gang go back on Thursday that didn’t leave us much time to say our goodbyes.

John and Luna are in the living room watching Terminator 2 while Twilight’s in her room sleeping. Celestia is having Mini Wheats for breakfast and I’m going on the computer to check my email and see if anything new is coming up but seeing I only have junk mail I shut the computer off. I go into the living room to watch the movie with them. Luna nudged John on the shoulder.

“Hm.”

“This Arnold guy is quite a bad ass isn’t he?”

“Yes extremely but I liked him better in Total Recall.”

“Why is that?”

“The reason why is that with the combination of humour and Arnold kicking ass it was the ultimate movie.”

“When can we watch that movie?”

“Tomorrow.”

“Why not today?”

“Because today I am downloading all of the Arnold movies so we can watch them at the palace.”

“Great but how do we bring the TV with us?”

“Oh it’s not going on the TV it’s going on my laptop so we can watch them anywhere. Then I will put them on my IPod touch and hook up the projector to it.”

“But that will take a lot of power I don’t think I’ll be able to hold the power for that device.”

“Remember when we went shopping and I went into a store called The Source. Well I bought a projector that will fit on my IPod and I also bought an IPod touch stand so I won’t have to hold it. Plus remember when I asked you last night if I could take those diamonds off of your shoes well I’m going to sell two of the diamonds to get 2 IPads so we can both watch them on the fly.”

“But what do think my sister will think when she hears about this plan?”

“Well I don’t know. You did say you have 8 pairs exactly like these so you shouldn’t have to worry.”

“Well we’ll see won’t we, oh can I come with you?”

“Sure well we best be going then, James you want to come with?” I wanted to say no but I haven’t been outside in such a long time.

“Yeah want me to fetch my truck John?”

“Yeah it would be nice to not fly for a change, no offense.”

“None taken dear.” I went out and started my truck. Everyone hopped in and we went to our local mall. Okay listen our town may not be a big city but it does have everything we need. It has a chain of restaurants, a mall, a local grocery store, and several pawn shops. And since I get money from the government for compensation of the duty I served for my country, I live pretty comfortably here.

I drove into the parking lot of the mall and Luna transformed into a human. She wore a small tiara on her head and a short outfit. Her blouse had a crescent moon symbol stamped on the front of the dress, it was midnight blue and it had a darker blue piece of cloth around her abdomen. She had a skirt on under it; it was the same colour as the piece of cloth and reached to her lower thigh. She wore slippers on her feet the same colour as the blouse.

“Well everyone out and let’s go shopping.” I heard a giddy giggle come from Luna and she quickly jumped out of the truck,
she stood there tapping her foot impatiently.

“Come on you guys I want to buy more clothes and shoes, also some electronics would be nice.” I chuckled.

“Wow Luna I didn’t take you as a shopping person.”

“Well you never asked James, now let’s stop talking and go to the jeweller.” Luna skipped towards the mall and we followed suit. When we reached the Jeweller Luna looked like she was about to explode with energy. John hand the Jeweller the two diamonds and it looked like the guys’ eyes were going to pop out of his skull. He put his magnifier on and looked at the diamonds. He then put them down and shakily put down his monocle.

“These are the cleanest diamonds I have ever seen and since they are worth so much I will have to call the bank for a loan.”

“Well how much are they worth?” John asked

“Around 4 million since they are so pure and well taken care of.”

“How long will that take?”

“One hour. You may sit here if you like or I can give you a small amount so you can shop.” Luna got up out of her seat.

“Is there any way you could give us fifty thousand right now.”

“Why certainly and thank you for picking my store for such a grand pair of diamonds.”

“You’re welcome and it was great to meet you.”

“Do you want this in cash or cheque?”

“Oh cash please.”

“Do any of you have a firearm with you?”

“No, why?”

“Well here’s a 9mm free of charge, a client such as you deserve as much.”

“Well Thank You, James you take it. Goddess knows what will happen if John tried to use it.” I grab the gun and put it in my pocket.

“Hey I heard that!” The Jeweller hand over the cash to John and we went to The Source. John went up to the registers and ringed the bell. A young teen walked out of the back.

“Hello how may I help you today?”

“I need you to get me two thirty gigabyte IPads and your most powerful laptop.”

“Okay I will get you that sir.” He rushed in the back and pulled out a laptop. “This has a 2 terabyte hard drive, 12 gigs of ram, a processor speed of 6 GHz, and a video card that would put any computer to shame. It cost around 11,234.33 dollars and the 2 IPads will cost around 24,543.53 dollars. Your total is 35,777.86 dollars. Is that all today sir?”

“Yes it is, here is your money and I hope you have a great day.” We walk out of the store and we hear cheering and slapping behind us. I chuckled.

“Well apparently we made their day.” We entered the clothing shop with 14,222.14 dollars and after 2 hours we left with only 8222.14 dollars. We quickly went back to the Jeweller to pick up our money.

“Sorry we’re late.”

“Oh I can understand girls and their shopping. Now let’s get down to business I found something more special about your diamonds so I am giving you five million fifty thousand dollars for the final price.”

“Okay then thanks now our money is where exactly?”

“It’s in these two briefcases, all counted for you so if you find some missing then come back here and I will give you the money still owed, okay fair enough?”

“Okay not that I want the diamonds back after this question but how much are you going to sell these diamonds for?”

“Well if you’re not going to take them back then I’ll tell you. I am going to sell them for eighteen million dollars you guys and me are going to die rich.”

“Good well bye and hopefully we’ll see each other again.”

“Yeah and if you have any other finds like this please let me be the first to know.”

“We will mister....”

“Anther, Anther Chase.”

“Okay Mister Chase.” We went out the shop and walked into the parking lot, got in our car then drove off.
The next morning was a dozy everyone was so busy packing and watching movies. I saw Luna teasing John in the living room and Celestia eating Mini Wheats. Twilight was in the living room with the couple and she was planning the trajectory needed to get back in their dimension. She seemed to be enjoying herself as she rambled on about how it was going to be hard getting John in with them. It was funny she tries so hard to be perfect when she already is as perfect as she can be. I laughed to myself and with that I smiled. It felt good to actually really smile and be happy because we were now not just associates or friends no we felt like family. In that moment I decided to go to my room to sleep and cry because I knew I was about to lose something very special to me. And I didn’t like the thought of it one bit.

A/N Okay this is a 2 part chapter because in the next chapter you get to decide where he goes though his mishap in traveling across dimensions and if you say ‘oh it’s just because he was too lazy to write a complete chapter.’ Listen as fans I care about what you think and if you don’t like a certain dimension he goes in then please inform of where you want him to go and I will mash it together into this flimsy plot I have here.
