Drunk Family

It was the day after the wedding, Red Heart was busy at work, Carrot top was instructing the group of Unicorns who had been tasked with moving her Garden and all the personal belonging of the 4 mares into their new Home. It was one of the few mansions that Ponyville had, the other residents of the mansions had been quick to show their distaste in their new neighbors, tho both Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara had made an appearance to Congratulate their teacher on marrying into wealth, they had even brought a welcome gift with comprised mostly of Fancy Silverware and some Fancy Cheeses. at the Moment Berry Punch was passed out Drunk in a special room set aside for Drinking. Spike was sitting awkwardly across from Ruby Pinch, who was sitting in equal awkwardness. between them was a table set up for Afternoon tea.

"So I guess I'm your dad now?" Spike said in confusion "I mean your Fake Dad if we're being correct."

"Yeah, my...my real dad has never been much of a...dad if I'm being honest, His visitation days are less than enjoyable, and he tends to leave me alone at home and ignore me."

"Sounds like a charming Fellow," Spike replied as he offered her a cup, she took it and added.

"My Dad's name is Blueblood, have you-" Spike spat out his tea and started choking. "-I see you have." She added as she took a sip.

"Oh, Sweet Celestia." Spike said as he rubbed his head "Poor Berry, I almost feel bad about that." Ruby raised a brow.

"You almost feel bad?" She asked, "I can assure you my dad doesn't have any redeeming qualities."

"True, but you're here now thanks to him, so I guess Blueblood was good for something." Ruby snickered at Spike's tone of pure amazement, Spike smiled back before he took another sip from his cup "That said, I'm sorry he had to be your dad."

"It's ok, I've long since accepted that fact," Ruby replied as she took a sip. the two drank for a moment before Spike laughed.

"Hey, you...you wanna hear something funny?" He asked with a chuckle.

"Sure," Ruby said as Spike leaned in.

"Blueblood isn't a Prince, He's a Duke!" Spike chuckled at that for a moment "He...he's my Mom's nephew from her mother's side, about 52 times removed!" Spike laughed at that as Ruby thought over that for a moment.

"What's a Duke?" She asked in confusion.

"No Idea." Spike replied as he calmed down and took another sip "But it's below a Prince, far below." Ruby finished up her cup and placed it back on the tray, Spike put his long empty cup down and giggled "I Finished a while ago." Ruby chuckled at the odd Dragon for a moment before the room got quiet again. The Quiet broke when Cheerliee made her way into the room with a few sandwiches.

"Hello Mr. Cheerliee," Ruby said polity before blinking "I mean Mrs. Cheerliee," She corrected with a smile.

"Hello Ruby," She said replied as she took a seat next to Spike. "So...it's just us three today is it?"

"Well Mommy is here but she's drunk and asleep again," Ruby said simply "So I guess it just use today yes,"

"So..." Spike said as he pat his legs. "Can we all just admit that this is the weirdest?"

"You mean that I'm now the mother of one of my students?" Cheerliee asked "Yes it is...a bit odd,"

"I think it's nice," Ruby said with a smile "I always wanted mommy to pay more attention to me, now my Teacher is my mommy, sorta."

"Oh you think that good, just wait till I tell Celestia about you," Spike said with a laugh "Oh man, she's gonna make forget about the sun she'll be so busy fawning over you," He laughed "She's a lot of things, but thanks to you she gets to be a Grandma, and she is going to love it, especially when I tell her about your dad," Ruby looked at him for a moment.

"why would she like that?"

"Well, Blueblood-" Cheerliee choked on her sandwich at that "Is Very Distantly related to Celestia, witch means you are, so your not only her Granddaughter, but your related to her by Blood. which I can not claim,"

"Blueblood?" Cheerliee demanded "That Piece of-" She snapped her mouth shut and look over to Ruby who was smiling.

"That's about what everypony says when they hear that,"

"Oh, that arrogant snot, he went to Canterlot court a few years back and after whinny and complaining for several weeks got small funding cut around Equestria for no other reason other than for attention!"

"And?" Spike asked.

"My School's funding was one of the things cut, I can't afford any staff other than myself, and I can barely afford me!" as Cheerliee raged Spike got up.

"I'll be right back, you two have fun, I'm gonna go make some calming tea," Spike left the room and made his way to his room, once there he pulled out a scroll and wrote a short letter to Starlight, after a minute he got return mail with good news. He wrapped it up and made his way to the kitchen to actually make the Tea.

Spike came back in with three cups and Found Cheerliee packing up a sandwich in a bag for Ruby, Who was wearing her shoes.

"Alright, you have fun, and be home before dark OK?"

"Yes Ma'am," She Said before awkwardly hugging Cheerliee and heading to the front door, waving to Spike who took a seat.

"Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara came by and asked Ruby if she would like a tour of the Neighbor hood,"

"That was very nice of them," Spike said as he set down the Tray and handed Cheerliee the letter who looked at it in confusion. "Read it aloud please," Cheerliee looked at him suspiciously and opened it.

"Dear Mrs. Cheerliee, I have been informed by Spike that your School is under funded, I personally will not stand for that since I myself run a school, especially since I run one that is way over funded, I have sent Twilight the news and a small amount of the School of Friendship's Funds (which by normal standards is stupid large) will now be going to the Ponyville Schoolhouse.

"Spike," She said looking down at him. "Bed Room, Now,"
