The sound of an alarm is what greeted Luna as she awoke, she sleepily groaned before covering her head with a pillow. A set of maids walked in as soon as the alarm went off and pulled back Luna's dark shade curtains. the light of the sunset filled the room.

"No," Luna groaned, "I don't have to rise to moon till 8," she complained sleepily.

"Ma'am it's 7:40, time to end the day," One of the maids said as she forced the blanket off of Luna, she was wearing a pair of dark blue PJ's with some little moon's on them, Luna gave a sound of refusal as she pulled the pillow over he head, after a moment that to was taken from her.

"Fine," She muttered as she got up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. "I'm up," Luna stood up and, after waving the maid's away, moved to her private bathing chamber, She took a quick shower, got dressed, and styled her mane the way she liked it before walking out onto the balcony and raising the moon. on another balcony, Celestia lowered the sun. The two sisters waved at each other.

"See you at dinner," Celestia called.

"See you at breakfast," Luna replied with a wave.

The two sisters sat at an unreasonably long table, both sat across from each other in the middle, Celestia was eating a salad while Luna ate a bowl of marshmallow cereal, the two sat in silence for a while before Luna spoke up.

"I need a break," she declared simply.

"If you don't like your cereal you could just ask for a-"

"Not a break from the cereal, a break from...this!" Luna motioned around "This castle, this lifestyle, my job, I need a vacation!" Luna stared at her sister, who took a moment to reply.

"Ok," Celestia said simply "Check in with Twilight, if she's okay with it then you and she can switch jobs for a month, she can raise the moon, and you can ignore her studies and do nothing for a month, but only if she agrees," Luna waisted no time in writing the letter to Twilight using her napkin and using magic ink, it took a minute for a reply after it was sent.

"She's in," Luna said as she read over the letter. "She all on board said she can be here tomorrow afternoon,"

"So you're ready to spend a month by yourself, just you, and a big empty castle with no servants or maid,"

"Spike is staying to run the library, sadly it seems that Starlight is on a cruise ship with her mother to celebrate one of their birthdays, either way, I won't be totally alone, Spike will be there if I get bored," Luna stuck her tongue out at her sister "I thought of everything," Celestia sighed and got up.

"Alright good night, I'll have to switch you and Twilight's sleep cycles so she can do your job so just be ready for that," Luna gave Celestia a nod before drinking her coffee. Celestia gave one final wave before departing for her bedchamber. Luna looked around the large dining room and sighed.

"This'll be fun," She decided as she drained her mug and set off to Night court.

Luna sat in silence as she looked over one of her many piles of paperwork, her sister had to deal with ponies face to face. Luna had to surf through a mountain of paperwork to make sure they were actually eligible for day court and not just trying to get in close to smooze up to her sister, occasionally she had to deal with nobles, but only in the first few hours of her court, her court started at 8 Pm, let out from 12 to 1 for lunch, and ended at 3 am and was not in session on Tuesdays, Tuesdays were Lunas time. Luna checked the clock to see if it was almost time for her lunch break when there was a knock on the door.

"Enter," She said as she tossed a large batch of papers into her nope pile, the door open and Twilight rushed in with Spike in tow carrying a precariously stacked pile of Twilight's stuff, The staff was trying to help him out while keeping up with Twilight, several pegasuses, and two Unicorns where taking things off the top as they walked in, she looked exhausted as she waved at Luna.

"Oh wow, Twilight I wasn't expecting you till noon tomorrow," Luna said as she got up, with a slight flick of her horn Luna relieved Spike of his pile and let him fall to the floor.

"Thank you," he breathed out, his voice echoing with exhaustion as he proceeded to lay on the spot in silence. "I just need a moment,"

"You can take him and the bags to my bed chambers and let him rest in my bed." Luna said simply "I have a hunch he was carrying that for a while," the servants nodded and proceeded to carry the bags and Spike away.

"Thank you," he called back before the doors closed

"Sorry about that," Twilight said, breaking off for a yawn "I was going to levitate them all but I was in the middle of a reading bender, I haven't slept in over 40 hours and neither had Spike, we decided to just come here early since we where most likely going to sleep through the appointed time, I kept dropping everything so Spike took charge of the situation," Twilight smiled up at Luna. "I'm a little out of it so forgive me if I...fail to keep certain formalities in mind," Luna waved her off.

"It is fine, where both Princesses, anyway I suppose it's good your here," Luna lead Twilight to her desk, and rummaged around in one of the drawers for a moment before pulling out a potion and offering it to Twilight. "I find this helps my staff not have to sleep," Twilight looked at the potion in awe before Luna added. "And no, you can't use it repeatedly to never have to sleep again, it only works one every other week, its only for emergency use," Twilight drank the potion and blinked, the bags under her eyes disappeared and in a flash, Twilight felt like she'd just woken up fresh and ready to go.

"Oh, Sweet Celestia I need to learn alchemy." Twilight said as she went for running on empty to having a full tank in a flash, "Any way Princess I thought it would be for best if-"

"I took this time to tell you exactly what Night court is?" Luna asked as she light her horn and an exceptional sparkly spell wrapped itself around Twilight's horn. "Also I just gave you the temporary power to move and control the moon, we'll go over that after the basics of the court," Luna motioned for Twilight to sit in her chair, and she did just that.

"Alright, so first things first, let me tell you the difference between the yes pile, the no pile, and the No longer accepting returning letters pile..."

Luna closed the door to her office with a click, after an hour of explaining and re-explaining the basics of the court and showing Twilight how to move the moon, where it was to be moved, and at what time it was to be moved, Luna was looking forward to her month of no responsibilities. She made her way to her room when she heard sounds and button pressing, she opened the door and found Spike chilling on the floor with a handheld gaming device.

"Oh hey." Spike said briefly looking up then back down "Twilight konk out yet?"

"No, I gave her a potion to...wait how are you..?"

"I've got another day left in me" Spike replied simply Before Luna could question that a sound came from the Handheld device and thoughts of Spike's sleep schedule flew out of Luna's mind as her eyes snapped down to look at the gaming device in Spike's hand.

"Spike?" She asked Spike looked up at her. "Are you playing a Mégamon game?" Spike looked her dead in the eye.

"I am," he replied, he didn't know how he had expected Luna to React, he hadn't expected her to get on her hands and knees and look at his game.

"Who's your starter?" She asked, "I went with Swasung," Spike chuckled at that.

"Typical," he laughed.

"What! Swasung may not be to good early game, but once you evolve it into a Swamanger it's a beast!"

"Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing Swasung as a Mégamon, I'm dissing it as a Starter, it is the worst Starter in the history of the game."

"Oh, oh really!?" Luna said sitting up to her full height. "I bet you went for Smoko."

"Oh just casue I'm a Dragon I have to choose the fire type!?" Spike shot back. "I'll have you know I went with Buzzleaf!" Luna actually laughed at that.

"Buzzleaf!? Buzzleaf is the worst starter of all the Mégamon Starters!" Spike glared at Luna as he saved his game, once his data was saved he turned his device off, packed it back up and looked the Princess in the eyes.

"Swasung has the worst states of all the Water Starters!" Spike said simply "just because Buzzleaf is considered bland, doesn't take away from the fact that they have the 4th best stats out of all the starts, with a Buzzleaf you can beat the first three League Leaders without having to switch out, and when he Evolves into Humstalk-"

"Oh please Humstalk and Buzzleaf are identical, Humstalk is just Bipedal with almost no state changes!"

"When Swamanger evolves into Swangraver it just turns from a medium sized duck to a Big swan with Guns and all it gets is a higher attack!" for the next several hours Luna and Spike proceeded to argue about who had picked the better starter.
