Balloons....They all Float Down Here

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

We made our way out of the front porch, to reveal more semi floating green balloons to help us in our aide, at the front of the town's entrance. The girls and I popped the balloons in unison, where more shotgun shells, a familiar bottle of blue fluid, and a large Ka-bar knife fell to the ground together. Twilight opened the bottle of the blue liquid, and poured it on her bite marks. Her wounds vanished from surface of her skin from the blue liquid's rapid healing properties. Rainbow Dash picked up the large combat knife while I reached down for the shotgun shells. Trailing from behind us, beheld three bloodied skulls charging from a distance.

The skull bounced in our direction. Dash kicked one of the skulls, Applejack bucked another, and I squeezed off another shell into the street, where the pellets ricocheted off from the gravel and skitted into the last skull. The skulls all imploded, as we continued onward from their direction.

All six of us ventured into a third house on the right of the street. The houses exterior contained a yellow lead based paint, that chipped from age. I barged inward with Rainbow Dash entering from the side of the house, with her combat knife clutched in her hoof and my 870 on the side. The girls carefully treaded along the back of us in caution. An old dusty closet before the entryway, contained .45 ACP ammo, an old medkit with expired supplies, and a few more boxes of 12 gauge ammo. I deposited the contents into my backpack and made our way to the right, to reveal a narrow hallway leading into the kitchen. The kitchen was littered with more unused soda cans, empty liquor bottles, and a kitchen sink with the similar bizarre fluid, from where we found the Remington 870 shotgun. I spotted a small pantry closet with canned food materials, as I reached inward for the food supplies, and suddenly vanished in front of the girls.....

I teleported onto a cold....dark area on a floating island....with a heckling clown like laughter that emitted above my head.

I stood in...another realm, seperated from the group of the girls. A bloodied skull charged at me from the other side of this small, floating island. I pumped another shell into it's base. This small island from what I've observed, was levitating in black space....where the enviroment slowly flashed more common vibrant circus colors. More balloons floated from the inside of the black vacuum of space, seperated by a translucent circus striped wall. I glanced into a swirling green portal, leading back to the group of girls. I charged into the beaming portal.

The girls were in the process of bucking and fighting three bloodied skulls, as Fluttershy trotted over to me in relief.

"Oh Celestia...Im soo glad to see you not hurt Ry....." Fluttershy hugged me while I looked at the girls.

"Darling, where did you vanish to?" Rarity asked while the girls surrounded me in curiousity. It was hard to explain to them....what exactly happened, as my sudden disappearance and return back only occured within a few seconds.

"I was transported into another realm....It must have been the so called 'clown portal' realm that we've located back on the wall map.....A small island that I was on....completely stagnated in dead space. One of those bloodied skulls attempted to attack me. A green portal awaited opposite from me, as I saw you girls with your fair share of problems. And now....I'm back here with you all. I cannot stress caution girls.....This place seems to be less predictable then the gloomy realms and cells....from which I've saved all of you from. For now on, we travel in groups of two....even if we attempt to search any corridors within these houses....." I told the girls.

A long pause surrounded us for a good minute, as I was interrupted by a faint noise. I heard....a little girl's voice....plea in distress off from a distance...

We made our way back into the streets and into the final third left house. Nothing too extravagant about this house, as we sweeped the first and second floors. Despite a bloodied skull sitting on top of a bookshelf....it posed no threat to us, since it was inanimate and lifeless. We crossed back into the steet, and traveled to the end of a T intersection. We've decided to go right on the T intersection road. We've spotted the familiar power lines connected in series on telephone poles, back from the map.

An array of large colorful square pillars, blocked the entrance that would have lead us into the woods. We would have to cross the pillars to get to the old cabin. To the left of the powerlines and pillars, contained a stone gray brick house, that we've agreed to go check out. The little girl's voice became a little bit clearer, as we steered near the entrance of the gray building. The other girls finally picked up on the noise.

"Um...what's that little girl saying....?" Fluttershy asked us, while I adjusted my hearing in on the sound. The girls focused in on the faint voice with me, but we still couldn't make out what the little girl was clearly saying.

"Ahm sure we'll find out soon enough sugarcube...." Applejack said to us, as we approached another house. The door swept open from itself, as a bloodied skull barged outward, crashing though the door's entrance toward me. I pulled the trigger while I aimed at the skull. It skattered into fragments and blood. I reloaded the shotgun and moved along with the girls. We secured the house and carried onward, finding only a few useful items to throw in our bags.

We've attempted to search the next building, to the right of the gray bricked house. The entrance contained a narrow opening with no visible door. The girls followed behind me, as I readied my shotgun for any surprises. To the right of the narrow hallway of the door, was a room filled with pitch black balloons, floating at about our height. The black balloons.....felt as if a trapped soul....wanted to severe the ties from the evil influence that filled the atmosphere of this abandoned town. All six of us advanced to the end of the hallway, onto a staircase from the left of us. The staircase guided us to a bloodied skull that waited at the top of the stairs. I disposed of it with a single shell. Another clown statue pointed at us from outward, located inside a narrow gap within a wall. Rainbow Dash drew her knife and lunged at the center of the statue's chest, from were a small trickle of blood streamed out of.

A wall lowered to the right of the clown statue as a result of this. The opened wall revealed the second floor of the building, to the left T intersection of the street. The girls galloped into the opening, where I jumped nehind them, and barely grasped onto the edge of the new opening. Rainbow Dash offered her hoof, as I clutched onto it and supported myself into the new room with the girls. The room contained a vietnam era backpack full of supplies. Applejack decided to place and wear the backpack on her back. The pack contained a few preloaded .45 ACP 1911 magazines, a 1911 pistol, a few small c rations, and a GI styled canteen.

I handed Rarity the 1911, as she was experienced with her signature nickel plated 1911 with pearl grips. This 1911 however, has witnessed its days of abuse. The handgun was battered from combat, with a small spot of rust build up on the slide of the firearm. Fortunately for us, it was still useable.

I lowered myself, into a small alleyway located downward from the room. I supported the girls, as they descended downward, as we made our way back into the streets. We followed the powerlines to the left of us to reveal two opposing stores facing the streets, to read only something completely morbid as we viewed the store signs.........
