Maria’s PoV
“Will you two please quit it? We know you’re both excited,” Matt says as I lay my head on his shoulder, “but we need to actually get to the dock before the boat leaves without us.”
My phone starts buzzing.
“Hello?” I ask.
“SPRING BREAK!” Pinkie and Bubble yell down my ear.
“Guys can you not yell down the phone? I’d rather not be part deaf before we even get on the cruise,” I say as Matt laughs from next to me.
“Are y’all comin’ or what?” Applejack must have taken the phone from our wild party animal friends.
“Yes, we are calm down,” I say. “You have your tablets right?” I ask.
“Tablets?” She asks. Oh no.
“For your seasickness?” I ask.
“Oh shoot. Do you have any?”
“No! I thought you were taking them,”
“I’ll just have to make do won’t I?” She asks.
“Yeah, we’re nearly there. See you in five minutes.”
“Who gets seasick?” Blitz asks, focusing on the road.
“Applejack,” I reply spotting the cruise ship on the docks.
We park the car and jog to the dock where the cruise is parked up.
“Finally! You guys took forever!” Pinkie appears in front of me and tackles me onto the dock.
“Well if Rainbow and Blitz didn’t show up ten minutes late, we’d be here already,” Matt replies.
“Maria! Matt!” Bubble appears and hugs me and Pinkie.
“Can I get up now?” I ask feeling uncomfortable with both Pinkie and Bubble on top of me.
“Sorry,” they both jump up as Dash and Blitz help me up.
“There y’all are,” AJ says as we walk onto the cruise and meet up with the others.
I smile as Applejack leads me to the room we’re apparently sharing.
“You think it’ll be ok?” I ask as I put my bag on the only available bed.
“I sure hope so,” she replies as we walk up to the deck.
“Spring break!” Pinkie and Bubble yell, disturbing Rarity and Elusive.
They run off. The boat leaves the dock as we hear Pinkie and Bubble scream spring break.
"Welcome aboard the Luxe Deluxe, where you'll set sail for a full week of luxurious luxuriating on our most deluxe luxury liner!" Twilight tells us as Pinkie and Bubble return.
I look over at Applejack who is already looking green. I bite my lip.
“Ooh!” Fluttershy says rubbing Applejack’s back.
“Sounds... luxurious,” Butterscotch adds looking worriedly at Applejack.
“Did you see there's a petting zoo onboard?” Dusk asks animal lovers.
“Mmmm! Smoothies!” Bubble says handing them out.
“And an all-you-can-eat buffet you can... eat all you... can eat at?” Twilight and Dusk say/asks.
Pinkie Pie screams, “Twilight, this cruise has everything! And a moving floor!”
“Don’t say that!” AJ and I say at the same time.
The floorboards creak under Pinkie’s feet.
Applejack gags then gulp, “I think I may have forgotten to pack my sea legs,” she says before she gags.
“Thank you for organizing this trip, Twilight and Dusk.” Sunset and Glare thank the two.
“I've gotta hand it to ya,” Rainbow starts.
“You really have an eye for climactic battle settings!” Blitz interrupts.
“Huh?” We all say confused.
“Imagine going head to head with a sea monster by the pool!” Dash and Blitz say together, “Ka-chow! Evil Equestrian magic flows up the diving pool!” They pause to imitate an explosion. “The boat's sinking! Everyone's screaming! And then we save the day!” They finish.
“Oh. Is the sea monster okay in the story?” Fluttershy asks.
“Better than okay!” Blitz says while drinking his smoothie.
“She's our friend now! Best spring break ever!” Rainbow finishes.
There’s an awkward silence.
“Or we could do... not that,” Sunset and Glare say together.
We all agree, wanting to have a calm spring break.
“I was hoping we could do something without... having to battle Equestrian magic for a change?” Matt and I say slowly as everyone looks at us.
“We couldn't even spend the day at Equestria World without creatin' a calamity,” Applejack says as AJ places his hand on her shoulder.
“Which we then uncalaminated, like literal awesome superheroes!” Blitz says.
Another awkward pause. AJ and I are making sure Applejack isn’t going to throw up.
Rarity sighs “Twilight, this is a most deserved respite. We're all very thankful for the chance to relax and do absolutely nothing.”
We all agree as someone’s phone goes off.
“Oh!” Rarity and Elusive gasp then scream then pant.
“What is it? Evil magic?!” Dash and Blitz both ask at the same time. I roll my eyes. Why do they even want a fight against Equestrian magic!?
“A GPS alert! We're in international waters!” Elusive tells us.
Rainbow Dash gasps.
“What does that mean?” Matt, Dash and Blitz ask.
“Tax-free shopping!” The fashionistas say then laugh. Of course.
“This is gonna sound crazy...” Sunset and Glare say.
Everyone except Dash and Blitz starts talking.
“Hey, you ok now?” I ask as Applejack slides down the side of the boat by the railings and buries her head in her arms.
“I wish I’d remembered the tablets now,” she replies.
“Do you not get seasick AJ?” Matt asks as I sit next to Applejack.
“Luckily not,” he replies as Matt pulls me up again.
“Can we-” AppleJack pauses to cough. “Go and explore?”
“Sure. You’ll be ok walking around though right?” AJ asks pulling her up.
“Yep,” Applejack replies as we walk towards the doors that lead inside.

3rd person POV
"Yep. Would have been better if I'd remembered the tablets," Applejack says as she covers her mouth.
AJ and Matt place their hands on her shoulders in worry.
"So, where should we go now?" AJ asks.
"How about the pool?" Matt suggests as Maria stares at him wide-eyed.
"What pool? Why didn't you tell me earlier?! Let's go!" Maria squeals happily as they go outside towards the pool. "Oh. Howdy Pinkie, Bubble." She says as they pass the pair.
"Hi, guys," Bubble replies as Pinkie drags him into the buffet. "Bye guys."
We laugh at his silliness before we go outside. The boat rocks to the side, making Applejack gag and cover her mouth. AJ grabs onto her shoulder to keep her from falling over.
"You wanna sit down?" AJ asks as Applejack manages to nod in reply.
The group walk towards the chairs by the pool and sit down relaxing.
"Hey, guys. I thought you'd be exploring," Glare says as he and Sunset walk over.
"Hey, you ok Applejack?" Sunset asks her. Applejack nods and leans back in the chair.
"We were. Applejack just had a spell of sickness that's all," Maria replies leaning back in the chair. "Pinkie and Bubble are at the buffet in case y'all were wonderin'."
"Thanks, Mari, Fluttershy and Butterscotch are at the indoor petting zoo, Twilight and Dusk are just walking around. I'm not sure about Rainbow and Blitz," Glare replies as we watch a diver jump into the pool.
"Bye Guys," Bubble calls back to the four farm/ranch workers.
"Come on Bubble," Pinkie drags Bubble into the buffet.
"Ooh! Honey walnut crisp! Candy-coated cupcakes! Banana sorbet delight!" Pinkie gasps.
"Triple Choco-Berry Blasted Butter Biscuit Bundt Cake?!" Bubble squeals
"I waited my whole life to taste a cake like this!" They lift the lid off the tray, "NOOOOO!"
"Excusez moi, monsieur, mademoiselle. How about one fresh from ze oven?" Puffed Pastry, the chef, asks the pair.
They both gasp as the chef pulls out a spatula.
"Hee-yah!" Blitz yells running into the chef as Dash pulls herself to stop next to Pinkie and Bubble.
"CAKE OVERBOARD!" The party animals yell in unison.
The cake falls onto another guest as he squeaks in surprise.
Puffed Pastry gasps before yelling "Mon gâteau!" ("My cake!")
The chef's face goes redder and redder in anger.
Rainbow and Blitz laugh nervously as the chef grabs all four of them and shoved them out of the buffet as the four scream. The door is slammed closed behind them.
"You saw it. She had a... a... spatula. So... you're welcome," Blitz says as he helps the other three up before he and Dash take off again.
"We need to go and set up for tonight," Bubble pulls Pinkie towards the shell stage at the back of the boat.
The noises of the animals calm Fluttershy and Butterscotch as they walk in.
"A goat on a boat?" Butterscotch says as they both laugh.
"Now I've seen everything," Fluttershy giggles as she walks to the rabbit enclosure. "Aren't you just the softest thing?"
Butterscotch walks over and uses his geode to hear what the rabbit was saying. "You have forty-two grandchildren? Wow, Mr Bouncy, that is impressive!"
"We'd love to meet them," they both say as Dash and Blitz zoom in.
"Not today!" Dash says as she and Blitz pull the animal lovers away from the rabbits.
"Whoa!" They both say, shocked.
"Sure, he seems cute and cuddly now. But have you seen what a magic-infused evil rabbit can do?" Blitz asks.
There's an awkward pause.
"Um... eat carrots?" Butterscotch asks placing a hand on Fluttershy's shoulder.
"Yeah, evil carrots!" Dash retorts.
Dash and Blitz zoom off yet again.
"The others want us to meet them at the back of the boat for tonight," Fluttershy tells Butterscotch as they walk out of the petting zoo.
The boat creaks as the four cowboys/cowgirls walk around outside. The boat tilts slightly as Applejack starts gagging.
"What's up, Applejack?" Dash asks
"Hmmmph. Mmmph! Mmmmmph!" Applejack tries to talk to them without throwing up.
"You can't talk?" Blitz asks before any of us can say anything else.
"Mmmm-mmmmmm, mmm-mmmmm!" Applejack struggles yet again.
"Y'all know that-" Matt starts but he gets interrupted.
"Evil magic stole your voice?!" Rainbow asks.
"Mmmmmm! Mmmmmmmm..." Applejack again struggles looking between AJ and Maria for help.
"Out, evil spirits! Out!" Rainbow and Blitz yell as Dash grabs onto Applejack's shoulders and shakes her really hard.
"Dash no!" AJ, Matt and Maria try and stop her but it's too late.
Applejack gulps then sighs and then retches. AJ runs up to her and rubs her back gently.
"Or you're seasick. Heh," Blitz says sheepishly.
"Because of evil magic?!" Both Blitz and Dash yell as the four glare at them.
Another awkward pause.
"Or not. Heh," they say sheepishly.
Dash and Blitz run off leaving the four on their own again.
Someone's phone starts ringing.
"Sorry it's mine," Maria murmurs pulling out her phone. "Howdy? Yes, we have. Erm Dash made it worse but she seems to be better now. Ok, we're on our way bye," Maria puts her phone away. "It was Twilight, she wants us to meet at the shell stage at the back of the boat."
"Let's go then," Applejack pulls herself away from the edge of the boat and nearly falling over in the process.
AJ catches her before she can face plant the deck.
They skid to a stop by the pool before yelling. "Has anyone seen bad magic on board?!"
The music that was playing stops as everyone stares at them and starts whispering to each other. Flash stands up and points to the door behind him and his friends.
They both gasp and walk into the room.
"Prepare yourself!" Trixie and Trixter yell.
"We're ready for anything!" The athletes also yell.
The magicians laugh.

Preparing for the concert
“Prepare yourself... for the Great and Powerful Trixie and Trixter of the High Seas! Two shows daily! Tip your waiters and waitresses!” Trixie and Trixter yell.
“Wasn't ready for that,” Dash murmurs quietly.
“Why, hello, Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Blitz. If you're hoping for a glimpse of the ultimate power in the universe, you'll have to wait 'til tonight,” Trixter greets them.
“Nah. Just looking for bad magic,” Blitz tells them.
“Sorry to disappoint you, but the bad magic of others always follows our amazing magic,” the magicians reply.
“What do you mean?” Dash asks.
“Ugh, we’re talking about the old grandpas in the audience who see our show and then try to impress their kids with a disappearing quarter trick on their way home!”
“Their magic only shows up in response to your magic! Huh! You guys are geniuses!”
“Well, obviously. Now, do you mind helping us shove this ten-foot handkerchief down our sleeves?”
Dash and Blitz sprint out of the room.
Trixie and Trixter struggle with the handkerchiefs.
“Nine ninety-nine?” They giggle, “our savvy shopping smarts strike again! Here's ten,” the both struggle to catch the penny change.
Ragamuffin says with a Cockney accent and grunts “By golly, that's real copper, it is! Blooming delightful! A... penny for your thoughts, miss?” He asks Rarity.
“Oh, you can't afford my thoughts,” Rarity stutters as Elusive snickers.
“Quite right. Lovable scamp like meself. Ol' Ragamuffin, that's me name, innit? Uh, need a 'and?” Ragamuffin chuckles.
“Uh, Ragamuffin? I’m Elusive. This is Rarity.”
“Uh, Raar-it-ee? Hmmm. Elu-sive?”
“Uh, no-no-no-no-no. Rarity,” Rarity tries again.
“Rarr-it-ee?” Ragamuffin tries again.
“Close enough,” Rarity mutters as Elusive’s phone rings.
“Hello darling, no we haven’t. Ok, we’re on our way. We need to go Rarity, the others want us to go and prepare for tonight.”
“Let’s go then,” Ragamuffin picks up their stuff.
Pinkie and Bubble are sat on the drums, Fluttershy and Butterscotch are stood holding tambourines. Applejack is sat leaning on the speaker with her head in her arms again.
“Hmmm... Look at us! Getting ready to play at a pool party! Who knows what hijinks will ensue, are we right? Maybe we’ll fall in the pool fully clothed! And everyone will laugh!” Dusk and Twilight laugh but realise no one else is. “Are you not having fun?”
“Our whole lives, we’ve been taught that you could only berry blast a butter biscuit on a bundt cake with two layers of chocolate. But this afternoon, we saw the truth. The buffet has a Triple Choco-Berry Blasted Butter Biscuit Bundt Cake,” Pinkie and Bubble sigh then start to complain.
“How was it?!” Dusk asks.
“We don't know! 'Cause Rainbow Dash and Blitz got us banned from the buffet!” Pinkie and Bubble half yell.
“What?!” Twilight yells.
“They also scared the animals in the petting zoo. Now they don't want pets. It's just a zoo,” Butterscotch complains unhappily.
Applejack uses the speaker and AJ to pull herself up.
“Ugh. She sure wasn't helpin' me not get sick off the side of the boat,” she puts a hand over her mouth as her face goes green. Again.
“But you're still having fun, right?” Dusk asks everyone.
“Oh, of course,” Fluttershy and Butterscotch say sort of happily.
“Yeah,” Pinkie and Bubble say sarcastically.
Applejack gags as AJ, Matt and Maria look at her in concern.
“It really is nice. Thank you both for booking this for us,” Maria says to Twilight and Dusk, “it’s nice to get away and have a peaceful holiday,” she adds, rubbing Applejack’s arm lightly.
Applejack covers her mouth and runs off to throw up again. Maria sprints after her.
“I'm sorry, everyone,” Twilight says as Dusk wraps an arm around her.
“It's not your fault,” Sunset and Glare say together placing their hands on Twilight’s shoulders.
“Hey, gang! Sorry, we’re late! So, listen. We've got an idea for our show tonight! We unleash some awesomeness on the crowd! We’re talkin' rainbow lasers!” Dash and Blitz sprint up and jump onto the stage.
“Is that a thing?” Sunset asks.
Blitz laughs, “Yeah! When we-”
“Do you mean when we turn into ponies or do you mean—?” Bubble asks.
“No! The other thing!” Dash tells them.
“I always called that "pony up",” Glare states.
“The rainbow lasers!” The rainbow-haired friends scoff.
“I don't think that's a thing,” Fluttershy and Butterscotch whisper.
“It will be after we do it tonight! Who's with us?” The athletes ask the group.
“Rainbow, Blitz can we talk to you two for a second?” Sunset asks as she and Glare pull them aside.
Sunset Shimmer sighs then gulps, “Twilight and Dusk worked really hard to plan this trip for all of us, and... uh, how can I say this without being mean?”
“Just say it! We can take it!” Blitz rolls his eyes.
“You're ruining it for everyone!” Glare tells them.
“Ouch! Your words just... punched my feelings,” Dash says as Blitz puts his hand on her shoulder.
“You said you could take it. Just stop looking for a problem when there isn't one. How's that?” Sunset asks the pair rolling her eyes.
Rarity and Elusive giggle, “Hello, darlings!”
“Where have you two been?!” Twilight asks them.
“'Avin' a li'l chat with ol' Ragamuffin, they were!” Ragamuffin defends them as there’s an awkward silence.
Maria and Applejack walk up the stairs towards the group as Ragamuffin turns to leave.
“All right, all right. Thanks for ev'rything, Rarit-y,” he says as Rarity sighs.
“Good luck for all that music an' whatnot,” he says shaking hands with Applejack. Applejack gags turns green and runs off again. AJ follows her concerned.
“Cheers!” He says before leaving.
“It's like he fell out of a historical romance novel,” Rarity sighs as he leaves. Elusive rolls his eyes.
“Is that how romance sounds?” Fluttershy asks.
Everyone else rolls their eyes.
“Matt, Maria. Are you two going to sing solos?” The singers spin around to look at Dash.
“Are we?” Matt asks.
“Hm. Well, I’m not too keen on the idea. Besides, do we even have a song we could do?” Maria shudders lightly at the thought of singing.
“I never expected them words to come out of your mouth Marie,” Twilight tells her.
“Yeah. You two always have something to sing,” Dusk says as Matt turns to Maria.
“We could do fight song,” Matt suggests as Maria grabs Applejack’s bass.
“Actually, that might not be a bad idea. You guys are singing first though,” Maria tells the Rainbooms.
They nod in agreement as AJ and Applejack come back.

Rarity claps as the boys place the speakers ready.
The lights glow as the music starts playing.

“Repeat after me!” Sunset and Glare say together.
The Rainbooms

“Rainbow lasers!” Dash and Blitz spin around to Sunset, Glare, Twilight and Dusk who nod in agreement.
Dash and Blitz pony up. The rainbow lasers appear just before the lights pop as they go out. Matt and Maria gasp in shock as everyone else starts screaming.
“Oh! It’s about to go down!” Blitz and Dash yell.
“The ships going down?!” One of the passengers asks and yells.
“No not the ship!” Dash yells.
“The ships not going down!” Blitz also yells.
“Ugh! We meant evil! Stop screaming!” The pair try to get the crowd to calm down with little success.
“What happened to the lights?” Fluttershy and Butterscotch ask.
“What happened to the engine?” Rarity and Elusive ask.
“Aww, we hate seeing a party shut down before its time,” Pinkie and Bubble complain.
“The good news is now that it’s dark, maybe my brain won’t know I’m on a boat,” she speaks too soon as she gags. “Oh, no. It heard me,” She jogs to the edge of the stage as Matt and Maria run on.
Matt runs to her side rubbing her back. AJ and Maria share worried glances.
“Let's not let a little thing like a total mechanical and electrical failure ruin our fun,” Twilight and Dusk try and comfort the others, “leave it to us,” the pair run off.
“They’re wasting their time! Because this is Equestrian magic!” Dash and Blitz yell throwing an arm in the air.
“Stop!” Sunset and Glare yell back grabbing their arms.
“You stop! We show off our magic, and literally ten seconds later, the power blows? We scared whatever's out there, and it's fighting back! We should split up and search the ship! Who's with us?” Blitz and Dash ask everyone.
Everyone just stares at them unamused. Matt and Applejack also walk over, Applejack still looking green.
“Ugh!” The athletes groan in annoyance then walk off.
“That’s the last time we ask who’s with us,” Blitz and Rainbow say while holding flashlights.
“We’re not trying to tell you how to do your job, but, heh, may we?” Two members of the engine crew give the pair some flashlights.
The pair groan, “What a mess! Did you even read the six-hundred-page online emergency handbook?!” The crew look very confused and shake their heads.
“Time to raid the dessert buffet under cover of darkness! Triple Choco-Berry Blasted Butter Biscuit Bundt Cake, here we come!” The pair whisper yell.
“Who said zat?!” Puffed Pastry asks.
“No one!” Pinkie yells.
“Shouldn’t you be upstairs?” Bubble asks.
“Somebody has to guard ze bundt cakes! Stay back! I have a spatula!” She yells as Pinkie and Bubble duck under a table.
“Hello... Ragamuffin?” Rarity asks walking around downstairs. “Ragamuffin? Are you down here? I was just, uh,” she pauses to clear her throat, “in the neighbourhood, and, um...” Rarity opens the door as the music gets louder.
“What?!” Rarity asks. The other crew members that are there are clapping as Ragamuffin is Irish dancing. “Who needs electricity when you have...” she pauses to try and find the right word. “Whatever this is?”
The pair sigh as they watch the water splashing. The lightning strikes as the water starts to glow.
“Woah! We knew it! Evil magic! You guys gotta see this!” The pair activate their geodes and sprint off.
“All that's left is to hold this lead wire in place while the auxiliary unit cycles and everything should be back to normal in three... two... one—” the pair groan as Dash and Blitz sprint in.
“No time for that!” The athletes pull the nerds away from the machinery.
The pair scream as Dash and Blitz leave them by the door and run off again.
“Where- what-how?” The pair turn around as Matt, Maria, AJ, Applejack and Elusive walk up to them.
“Rainbow and Blitz,” Dusk replies as everyone else’s eyes go wide.
“Oh no. This won’t end well,” Matt murmurs as Maria nods in agreement.
"Ahh!" Pinkie and Bubble scream as Dash and Blitz run off yet again.
"What's going on?" Fluttershy asks as she and Butterscotch walk up to the group.
"They got us banned from the buffet," Maria opens her mouth to say something but Pinkie and Bubble interrupt her, "For life!"
"Oh," Maria murmurs quietly.
"What are you two doing?" Rarity asks as the three suddenly show up.
"We promise this is more important than all of your things," Dash and Blitz say, leading the group to the edge of the boat.
"We don't think so!" Pinkie and Bubble reply.
"Behold! Evil magic!" They gesture towards the water as everyone looks really confused.
"What? Huh?" Dash starts.
“The whole ocean was glowing a minute ago! It went "whoosh-whoosh-whoosh" w-with little ribbon thingies!” Blitz carries on.
“Do you know which sorcerer can conjure the greatest magic of all? Mother Nature,” Twilight and Dusk tell the athletes.
“What?” The athletes ask confused.
“What you saw was probably nothing more than an innate phosphorescent biochemical property of common algae,” Twilight replies calmly
“Whaaaat? If that's what you think, then let's get in lifeboats and I'll prove it! The magic came from that way! We sail out and find the source!” Dash says confidently.
“And then?” Dusk asks.
“Then it's go time!” Blitz replies excitedly.
“Which means?” Twilight asks happily.
“We take no prisoners!” Dash yells.
“Where would we take them?” Dusk asks.
“Who?” Blitz asks.
“The prisoners. That's kidnapping! Are you even listening to yourself?!” Twilight yells.
“Didn’t Dash say something about taking no prisoners?” Maria asks Matt, AJ and Applejack quietly.
“You two don't want us to be right because you're both scared to be superheroes!” Blitz and Dash tell Twilight and Dusk.
“We're not superheroes!” They yell back.
“Oh, oh! Excuuuuse us! We're just ordinary girls and boys who have saved the world from complete destruction multiple times!” Dash and Blitz tell everyone.
“Uh, yes,” Twilight and Dusk counter.
“Keep telling yourselves that! But the rest of us aren't in denial! Right, everyone? Let's get to those boats and do what we do best! Who's with us?!” Dash and Blitz ask everyone.
Rarity, Elusive, Pinkie and Bubble growl lightly.
“Hmmph,” is all Applejack says.
“Okay, that's the last time we’re saying that,” Dash and Blitz sigh before walking off.
Everyone else starts to go inside except for Matt and Maria.
“Y’know, I’m starting to think they were right about the magic,” Matt says to Maria as there’s a small swirl of pale blue magic swirling around Maria’s flip flops.
“If we’re quick, we can catch them,” Maria activates her geode before sprinting off.
“There they are! Blitz, Rainbow! Wait!” Matt yells as he and Maria skid to a stop.
“Where are you two goin’?” Maria asks as the wind picks up.
“To find the source of the magic, like we said,” Blitz replies as he puts on a life jacket.
“You aren’t going alone. We’re coming with you,” Matt replies as Maria nods firmly.
The athletes glance at each other before tossing the singer's life jackets.
“Then let’s go!” The four climb into the boat.

The lightning strikes outside as the group excluding Blitz, Rainbow, Matt, Maria, Bubble and Pinkie, are sat eating their breakfast. The chandelier jingles which causes Applejack to gag and put her head on the table. Rarity and Elusive each put a hand in Applejack’s hair.
“We weren’t very nice to Rainbow and Blitz last night,” Dusk and Twilight say as Sunset and Glare sit down opposite them.
“No one's blaming you two for wanting to give us a normal spring break. We'd be having one if it wasn’t for us. We brought magic to this world in the first place,” the pair sigh as Twilight and Dusk place their hands on Sunset and Glare’s hands.
“We wouldn't trade you two for anything in the world. In any world,” the nerds tell the former ponies.
“Aww. Same here. How about we make sure Rainbow Dash and Blitz know that, too?” Sunset and Glare place their hands on Twilight and Dusk’s arms as the four get up.
The four leave. Fluttershy and Butterscotch soon follow with a tray of breakfast each. The animal lovers sit down next to Pinkie and Bubble who sigh, gasp then hug them. Fluttershy and Butterscotch giggle lightly.
“Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Blitz! Let's have a do-over!” Twilight and Dusk yell.
“You don't think they went off into the storm, do you?” Sunset asks.
“Wait. Have you guys seen Matt and Maria since last night?!” Glare asks, realising that the singers weren’t with them at breakfast.
“No!” Twilight half yells and start panicking.
“Maybe they’re with Dash and Blitz,” Dusk replies calmly.
“Oh, I'll call them,” Twilight says pulling out her phone.
“What up, nerds? It's Rainbow Dash having way too much fun being awesome to answer your call! So leave a message, if you're too old to text me!” Rainbow Dash’s voice comes through Twilight’s phone.
The others run out from the breakfast room, Applejack using the wall to support herself.
“You're both going after them?” Dusk asks Sunset and Glare.
“They wouldn't even be out there if we hadn't brought magic to this world in the first place. What about you two? Are you in?” Sunset and Glare ask.
“Of course we’re in! A hundred percent on board!” Twilight and Dusk reply.
The thunder breaks the silence between the group.
“Then get on board,” Sunset and Glare tell them.
“We just said we.... "On board",” Twilight and Dusk walk towards the life boat as Applejack moves forward.
“Oof. I'll fix the engine while you're gone,” Applejack tries to stand up on her own but ends up feeling dizzy. “We'll be ready to go before that storm hits us,” Applejack finishes as she nearly collapses. Pinkie and Bubble catch her before she can.
“I’ll definitely be helping,” AJ adds looking at Applejack in concern.
“But you're seasick. Going below deck is the worst thing you could do,” Glare tells her gently.
Applejack gulps, “not worse than losin' Rainbow Dash, Blitz, Matt and Maria,” she clings tightly onto Pinkie’s hand.
“We’ll help keep people calm!” Pinkie and Bubble salute Sunset and Glare, “get cake,” The pair whisper, holding a hand to their chins. “We mean, keep people calm!” Pinkie and Bubble correct themselves while patting Applejack’s head.
“And we'll make sure there's lifejackets for everyone. Even grandchildren,” Fluttershy and Butterscotch say cuddling the rabbit.
“And I'll inform the below-deck crew. Even though we're from two different worlds. One a lonely coal miner, the other a sophisticated beaut-” Rarity gets interrupted when Applejack gags. “I mean...” Rarity clears her throat, “I'll, uh, I'll, uh, I'll help Applejack and AJ.”
“Me too,” Elusive agrees.
“We'll find the four and be back as soon as possible,” Sunset turns to Glare, Dusk and Twilight, “let's go!”
Dusk and Twilight lower the boat with their magic. The motor runs but the boat doesn’t move anywhere.
“You forgot to untie the rope,” Sunset and Glare tell Twilight and Dusk.
“Oh, yeah,” Twilight and Dusk reply.
“There! That's their boat! Dash, Blitz?!” Sunset yells.
“Matt, Maria?!” Glare yells.
“Any sign of them?” Dusk asks.
“You don't think they... went in there?” Twilight asks shuddering slightly.
A parrot squawks.
“Where are Fluttershy and Butterscotch when we need them?” Sunset asks.
"We’re going in that jungle!" The parrot squawks.
"We’re going in that jungle"?” Glare asks confused.
“Are y’all sure that’s a good idea?” The parrot squawks.
“The parrot must be repeating what she said. Let's go!” Sunset says turning towards the jungle.
“In there?” Dusk asks uncertainty as thunder and lightning strikes. Which causes the animals to make noises.
“Anyone could've said that,” Twilight says.
"Or our names aren’t Rainbow Dash and Rainbow Blitz!" The parrot squawks telling them that it was indeed the 4 people they were looking for.
“Ugh! Fine,” Twilight and Dusk groan.
As the four walk through the jungle, Twilight and Dusk get really annoyed with nature as they kept getting hit or they fall into the mud.
“Help! Help! Heeeeeellllllp!” Two very familiar female voices yell.
“Ugh!” Rainbow and Blitz sigh, “way to go, Rainbow Dash and Rainbow Blitz. You two did it again. You just had to go off on your own, didn't you?”
“Dash! Blitz!” Sunset yells as she Glare, Dusk and Twilight run into the clearing.
“Matt! Maria!” Glare also yells upon spotting the redheads.
“Oh, hey! Uh, heh, 'sup? Um, just takin' a rest in here, y' know? Finding evil magic is hard work,” Blitz tries to play it cool, causing Maria to roll her eyes.
“Did you find any?” Twilight asks indignantly.
“Nah. Just quicksand,” Dash replies as Maria seems to be gripping onto her arm.
“Ugh. Don't struggle. We'll find something to pull you all out,” Sunset and Glare tell the four.
“Struggle?” Blitz and Dash pause to struggle, “who's struggling?”
“Will you please stop?” Maria asks shakily tightening her grip on Dash’s arm.
“Typical Rainbow Dash!” Twilight murmurs.
“Typical Rainbow Blitz!” Dusk murmurs.
“We’ve had a little time to think,” Dash and Blitz start.
The sand seems to bubble.
“A lot of time, actually. And we spent most of it wishing we could make it up to you two. Because you were both right,” Blitz and Dash continue as Maria and Matt glance at each other.
"Twilight and Dusk are wrong!" A parrot squawks as Maria giggles, almost if she knew that was going to happen. Dash glares slightly at her.
“Anyone... could've said that,” the athletes say uncertainly.
"Or our names aren’t Rainbow Dash and Rainbow Blitz!" The parrot squawks.
“Ugh. Gotta stop saying our names all the time,” the athletes say as the singers giggle.
Twilight and Dusk scoff quietly.
“We were a little annoyed at first, but we’ll admit it: we ruined everyone's spring break for nothing. There's no magic out here! Nothing magical at all!” The rainbow-haired friends say.
“The only villains trying to ruin spring break were us,” the athletes admit as Maria manages to bury her head in Dash’s shoulder. Dash wraps a comforting arm around her.
A monster seems to start growling.
“...And maybe that giant plant monster?” Sunset says slowly backing up.
“What giant plant monster?” Blitz asks as Dash runs her hand along Maria’s arm as she starts whimpering.
“That giant plant monster!” Twilight and Dusk yell pointing above the four in the quicksand.
Sunset and Glare scream causing Maria to whimper more.
The plant monster starts growling again. The four in the quicksand scream.
“Get us out of here!” The four yell. Twilight and Dusk pass Sunset and Glare big branches.
“We're trying!” Twilight and Dusk yell as Sunset and Glare hold the sticks out to Blitz and Dash who let Matt and Maria cling on to them as Sunset and Glare start pulling them closer to the edge.
Sunset and Glare yell.
“Try harder!” Dash and Blitz yell impatiently as Matt and Maria tighten their grip on the athletes. Maria’s whimpering gets louder.
The plant monster roars as one of its tentacles smashes the branches that Sunset and Glare snap.
“Oof! Take our hands!”
“Take your hands?” Blitz, Matt and Dash ask while panting. The sand is up to Maria’s bottom lip as she’s looking at Dash, terrified.
“We’ve seen something like this before,” Sunset and Glare say while moving some of the sand away as it sparkles, lighting up Maria’s face. “This is definitely Equestrian magic!”
“We can't hold it back much longer!” Twilight and Dusk yell as their magic starts to fade.
“We have a way out of this. Do you guys trust us?” Sunset and Glare ask.
“Of course!” Matt, Blitz and Dash say as Maria nods, still whimpering quietly.
“See you all soon!” Sunset and Glare push the four under the quicksand.
“Whoa!” Blitz and Matt say before they go under the sand.
“Did you two just...?!” Twilight and Dusk yell while keeping the monster at bay.
“We’ll explain later! We jump on three!” Sunset and Glare tell the bookworms as the monster roars.
“Oof!” Twilight and Dusk’s magic disappears as Sunset and Glare catch them.
“One, two, three!” Sunset and Glare yell dragging the two into the quicksand portal.
Equestria Girls/ Guys- spring breakdown
~Maria’s PoV~
“Hey, it’s ok, we’re safe now,” Dash tells me gently as I lean against her in relief.
“Are we-” I start.
“We’re ponies! We have wings that don’t disappear!” Blitz calls out from where he’s flying just above the group.
Matt moves next to me wrapping a hoof around me as Dash removes her wing from my back. Dash zips into the air looping a couple of times.
“Where are the others?” Blitz asks Dash quietly as if not to scare me more.
“Wait, we didn’t have our hats earlier,” Matt says.
“Mari, why is your hat glowing?” Dash asks.
I look up as best I can to see that my hat is glowing a dark blue. I knock my hat off revealing a horn.
“Wait, I have a horn and wings! What does it mean?” I ask as Matt flips his hat off too.
Suddenly two orange and two purple blurs stumble out of the forest.
“Where are we?” Twilight and Dusk ask.
“Not about to get eaten. Good enough for us,” Dash and Blitz say happily.
“Erm, did we-” I start but Sunset interrupts.
“It's... more complicated than that,” Sunset’s horn glows red making it lighter as my magic is dark blue.
“Whoa...” Dusk says just before Twilight starts to have a freakout.
“Ahh!” Twilight screams before running off.
“Twilight!” The group yell before chasing her. Matt, Blitz, Dash and I in the air and Sunset, Glare and Dusk running.
“PONY FACE!” The group hear Twilight scream. We manage to find her by a small body of water.
“Twilight! You're okay! This is supposed to happen!” Glare tells her gently placing a hoof on her shoulder as I fall a couple of feet onto the floor.
“Oof,” I murmur as Dusk helps me back up.
“All my things are horse things!” Twilight yells back at Glare.
“'Round here we call them "pony things",” Sunset tells her gently.
“Incoming! Woah!” Blitz and Dash yell as they crash into the bushes.
Blitz and Dash groan as Glare uses his magic to help them out of the bushes. They shake the twigs and leaves from their manes and tails.
“That wasn't quicksand back there. The sand was covering a portal to Equestria. I thought there was only one from school to Celestia's mirror, but who knows how many there are and where they might lead?” Sunset explains their situation.
“Sorry, I wasn't listening. Because we're ponies! ” Twilight yells as she puts her muzzle on Sunsets.
“Y'know, Twilight, since we kinda messed things up on the boat, maybe this could be your vacation!” Blitz and Dash tell their friend gently as she starts calming down.
“Hmmm...” Twilight seems to be thinking about it.
“We're here, we're ponies,” Matt says before Blitz and Dash interrupt him.
“Let's have some fun! Pony style! Whoa!” Blitz and Dash attempt to stand on their back hooves but fall back onto all four hooves.
“Uh, that's not a thing we say,” Glare tells them.
“This would be a fantastic opportunity to study the physical laws of a novel dimension,” Twilight says as everyone looks at her confused.
“Shouldn't we be getting back?” I ask very concerned for her friends’ safety.
“It's just a little rain. I'm sure our friends are fine,” Blitz replies as I bite my lip.
“Let’s go,” Dash says pushing herself into the air again.
“Go where? We’re in the middle of the forest,” Matt replies as Blitz zips into the air too.
“Princess Twilight’s castle. This way!” Sunset takes off leaving the rest of us to follow.
“Hey wait up! Isn’t there pony versions of all of us in this world too?” I ask taking off after her. Sunset suddenly stops causing me to crash into her.
“We'd better keep a low profile. Follow our lead,” Glare and Sunset say as we take off again.
We only get a short way into town before we nearly run into the pony world Blitz and Dash. The stallion they were talking to, faints as he spots the human Blitz and Dash. Sunset and Glare manage to push us all back before the pony versions of Blitz and Dash turn around. They use their wings to wave to AJ and Applejack as they walk past with empty carts. We hop into the carts.
Once they pass the castle, we jump out. Sunset and Glare hide us in the bushes. We run in the bushes to the entrance of the castle.
“Wait here,” Sunset and Glare run to the door. The pair signal to us. We run up to the door staying concealed until the last second.
“Oh, I like him/her,” Twilight and Dusk say as I giggle quietly.
“Rainbow Dash! Blitz! Other us! Matt! Maria! Good to see you all again! What about the others?“ Princess Twilight and prince Dusk say.
“Oh, they're back home waiting for us. But they're fine. No reason to hurry back,” Glare says calmly as Maria rolls her eyes.
“Matt, Maria, this may be a little awkward,” Princess Twilight says as she leads us to the throne room.
Matt and I glance at each other. “Oh.”
“Spike, Barbra, what did y’all do?” A pale purple female pegasus asks the two dragons.
“Calm down Maria, the painting isn’t damaged,” the male dragon replies with an eye roll.
“Er, what’s goin’ on here?” A pale purple stallion asks as Maria curls up on her throne.
“Remember when we said that you guys couldn’t come with us to CHS because there’d be two of you?” Prince Dusk asks the pair nod, “well Matt and Maria are your..” he pauses trying to find the right word.
“Human?” I offer.
“Counterparts,” Princess Twilight finishes.
“and that's the last time we ever went to a dragon wedding!” Spike and Barbra finish as we all laugh.
“Oh, you have to try Ms Cake's chocolate fondue. It takes twenty minutes though,” Prince Dusk tells us.
“Ah, we have all the time in the world,” Dusk replies.
“I’m not sure about that,” I murmur quietly.
Dash and Matt look at each other than me and shrug.
“Hey, you ok Maria? You’ve not been yourself since we got here,” Glare asks as everyone looks at me in concern. I shrink slightly under everyone’s gazes.
“I’m just worried about the others,” I sigh resting my head against the table.
I feel a soft, warm wing over my back.
“Maria,” I glance up at Matt, “it’s ok. They’ll be fine,”
The silence is interrupted by screaming.
“Did you hear that? It sounded like Pinkie and Bubble yelling,” Sunset asks as I sigh quietly.
"We were yelling, silly! Standing at the front door yelling, "Fondue delivery!" Oh, hey, Rainbow Dash Blitz, ponies-in-glasses-who-we-don't-recognize, Matt, Maria and two pegasi who we also don't recognise. Here. You have to try this! It's a fresh batch!" The pony versions of Pinkie and Bubble walk in and place the fondue in the centre of the table.
Dash and Blitz are the first two to eat it.
"Uh, ow! Too hot! It needs to be, like, twenty per cent cooler," they both say as Matt and I each grab a spoon from the dessert.
We eat ours as Twilight and Dusk struggle to get the fondue in their mouths with their magic. They get it on their faces then their glasses before finally getting it into their mouths.
"Mmm! We love this!" They say as Matt and I nod in agreement.
"I'm telling you Applejack. I don't know what happened!" The pony version of Rainbow Dah comes flying in while having an argument with the pony version of Applejack.
"Well, something must have made that poor pony faint!" She shoots back before spotting us, "I think I know what it was to," the pony version of Blitz and the pony version of AJ come sprinting in, apparently trying to catch up to Dash and Applejack.
"What do you-" pony Dash stops herself when she sees Rainbow, "never mind."
"What happened?" The pony version of Matt asks pony Blitz and pony AJ as the girls seem to still be in shock.
“I’m not sure, Dash and I were talking to a guy, I can’t remember his name, and all of a sudden he just fainted,” pony Blitz starts as pony Maria flies over to Applejack and Dash and hugs Applejack and buries her head into Applejack’s shoulder.
“When Applejack and I walked past, Blitz and Dash waved at us then turned back to the unconscious pony,” AJ finishes.
“That was our fault,” Sunset admits, “we were trying not to get seen.”
“It still worked out though,” Dash says shuffling when she gets odd looks from her pony counterpart and pony Applejack.
“Just not well enough,” I counter before nestling my head in my forelegs.
“Oh my!” I glance up, pony Rarity and Fluttershy are standing by the door in shock.
“Girls, what’s-“ pony Butterscotch and pony Elusive also freeze upon seeing four rainbow maned ponies and six red-maned ponies.
I bury my head back into my arms as I feel a hoof on my back.
“Is you ok darling?” I hear pony Rarity ask. I just nod in response. I’m pretty certain everyone- I mean everypony rolls their eyes.
“She’s been like this since we got here,” Blitz simply states. “Ow, what was that for Matt?” I assume Matt hit him.
“She’s just worried about the others remember?” I sigh as a sign of agreement. I yawn quietly, “and she wasn’t in the best mood when we left either.”
“Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?!” I shoot up and glare at Matt who shrinks slightly under my glare.
“Nothin’” Matt murmurs in reply.
“And that was from the time we were rescued by our own pupils!” Princess Twilight and Prince Dusk stop to giggle, “which really gave us some perspective on the importance of mentoring.”
“You ponies are, like, superheroes!” Twilight says clapping her hooves together.
“Oh, we're not superheroes,” Matt’s counterpart replies almost instantly while blushing.
“Sure, just ordinary ponies who save the world from complete destruction multiple times,” Dusk starts by talking sarcastically before his voice trailed off nears the end.
“Sound familiar?” Blitz tells our bookworm friends.
“Here's a good one,” Princess Twilight lights her horn as a staff appears above the centre of the table.
“This is from our battle with the Storm King. He stole our magic and used it to create the most powerful storm in Equestria. But, luckily, my friends and I were able to work together to drain his magic and seal his power into this,” prince Dusk tells us Dash and Blitz gasp suddenly.
Glare, Sunset, Dusk, Twilight, Matt and I just stare in awe.
“This symbol looks familiar,” Dash points at the symbol.
“You've... seen this before?” My counterpart questions uncertainly. Her eyes are wide as she steps back slightly only to crash into Applejack.
“It's just... That symbol. It looks exactly like what I thought I saw in the water when we were back on the boat. But we decided the magic glow was just Mother Nature,” Blitz replies as Applejack puts a hoof on pony Maria’s shoulder.
“When you saw the thing that looked exactly like this thing, there wasn't any thunder or lightning accompanying it,” Princess Twilight states nervously laughing, “right?”
“Uh, there was definitely thunder,” Sunset and Glare reply quickly.
“Affirmative on the thunder,” Twilight and Dusk reply.
“There was definitely lightning,” Matt replies.
“If this storm king as bad as you guys say he is, we should be going back and help our friends!” I half yell jumping to my feet.
“Okay. Nopony freakout, but I think that maybe there's a chance when we destroyed the Storm King, we didn't capture all his magic, and maybe it found its way into your world! It might be turning into a giant, magic storm and threatening your friends as we speak! NOPONY FREAKOUT! ” Princess Twilight starts to freak out.
“Our friends!” Sunset says as Glare puts a hoof on her shoulder.
“We have to go back!” Twilight says.
“Finally!” I say as Dash and Blitz fly into the air.
“Ladies and gentlemen... it's hero time!” The pair land on the table as everyone stares at them.
Equestria Girls/ Guys- spring breakdown
Saving everyone and going back home
Princess Twilight and Prince Dusk have a magenta bubble around us as we sprint through Ponyville. They said it's so no one- sorry no pony can hear us.
"Where was the portal in our world anyway?" Elusive asks him and Rarity only just being able to keep up with us all.
"In the middle of the forest. Defiantly not here," Sunset says as we enter the cove with the same body of water when we first arrived.
I spot the same bushes Dash and Blitz flew into when we first arrived at the water.
"This way!" I call back to the others while taking flight.
"Hey, wait for us!" I hear pony Pinkie and Bubble yell.
"How do ya know where y'all are goin'?" AJ asks as him, Applejack, Maria, both Matt’s, both Dashes and both Blitz's manage to keep up with me.
"Here it is," I call almost flying past it. I'm suddenly pulled back into a pair of cyan hooves which stop me from crashing into a tree.
"Thanks," I say as pony Dash smiles at me as she puts me on the ground.
"No problem," she replies as we stare at the gold swirling portal.
"Are we going or what?" Sunset asks.
“What about the giant plant monster?” Matt asks.
“What giant plant monster?” Blitz asks in confusion.
“The one that nearly ate you four!” Glare replies gesturing to Blitz, Dash, Matt and myself.
“You guys haven’t forgotten we have magic right?” I ask smiling.
“Which you and Matt can use with the diamond shield things,” Dash starts.
“They are diamond shields,” Matt murmurs, “and we can levitate objects which we can also use to stop the plant.”
“We can help with that,” Twilight and Dusk cut in.
“Bye, good luck!” The ponies call as Dusk, Twilight, Matt and I get ready to go through the portal.
“No time to lose! Let's do this!” Dash and Blitz say as we turn to Twilight who's holding the staff.
“Everybody, grab on!” Twilight and Dusk say.
“Right!” Sunset and Glare say as everyone grabs onto the staff.
The staff glows and shoots a bright yellow beam into the sky before it explodes into many pale blue smaller beams. The beams then form the Storm Kings symbol before the whole storm is absorbed by the staff's jewel.
“Weather update – sunny!” I say happily letting go of the staff.
“With a chance of awesome!” Dash adds pumping her fist in the air.
“I can't believe how easy that was!” Sunset says folding her arms slightly.
“I think we all learned a valuable lesson today,” Dusk says as people start screaming.
“I learned we don't have to go looking for trouble,” Blitz starts as fireworks start exploding.
“Just have to be there for each other when it finds us,” Dash finishes wrapping an arm around my back.
“But I guess if you four hadn't run off, we wouldn't have what we need to go back and save our friends,” Twilight says.
“All part of the plan,” Dash and Blitz say together earning twin eye rolls from Matt and I.
"The ship is still sinking,” the parrot from earlier squawks.
“Guys! The ship is sinking!” Matt says as we turn around. We can clearly hear people screaming.
“Oh, no!” Twilight and Dusk say.
“We gotta help them!” Sunset and Glare say.
“Finally!” I say making everyone look at me.
We run into the lifeboats and jump into one putting on life jackets at the same time. Twilight pulls on the chord of the lifeboat.
“It won't start!”
“It's hero time!” Blitz and Dash use their super speed to get the lifeboat to the yacht.
The boat lands on the deck as Dash and Blitz fall into the lifeboat.
“Are you guys okay?” Twilight and Dusk ask as we jump out of the boat.
“You're back!” Pinkie and Bubble yell as I go stand by Applejack. “While you were gone, we fixed the boat, but then we crashed into a rock, and we're sinking, so... we ruined your spring break!” They start sobbing into Twilight and Dusk’s shoulders.
“It's not your fault. The storm was Equestrian magic. Rainbow Dash and Rainbow Blitz were right all along. Whatever the sixteen of us are facing, however, our lives are changing, we're going through it together. So, let's get everyone off this boat like the superheroes we are! Who's with us?” Twilight and Dusk ask.
“We are!” The rest of us say.
“See how easy that was?!” Dash and Blitz ask annoyed.
“You thinking what I'm thinking?” Dusk asks.
“Rainbow lasers?” Blitz and Dash ask.
“Pony up!” Dusk and Twilight say At the same time.
“I thought we were calling it-” Sunset starts before getting interrupted.
“No, we agreed on-” Dash argues back before...
“Light it up, ladies and gentlemen!” Pinkie and Bubble yell as we all join hands.
We all rise into the air as we pony up and get our fancy outfits.
“We’ll get the animals!” Butterscotch and Fluttershy fly off.
“AJ, Applejack, Blitz, Dash, Bubble, Pinkie, Matt, Maria, Glare and I will make sure the decks are clear!” Sunset yells as we all fly off.
I fly to the very far side of the yacht where most of it is already under water.
“Maria!” Someone yells.
“Flash! You guys need to go that way towards Elusive, Rarity, Dusk and Twilight. They have a lifeboat to get everyone off safely,” I tell Flash and the woman who is with him.
“Have you seen my daughter?” The woman asks me.
“Is she on her own?” I ask the woman who nods. “I haven’t but there’s a big group of us checking the decks so one of us will find her,” I say as the pair run off.
I fly above the yacht to get a better view. Applejack and AJ come up from the lower decks with a man and a little boy. They wave at me as I fly off again.
“Ma’am we need to leave now,” I say to an older woman. “There’s a lifeboat waiting that way,” I point in the direction of the others.
“Thank you,” the woman runs off leaving me in the middle of an empty deck.
“Hello?” I call out uncertainly.
I’m met with silence. I fly into the air until I hear someone crying. I zip inside, dodging all the falling obstacles. I spot a little girl who is curled up and crying.
“Honey, we have to go,” I say to her going to pick her up. She moves away sobbing.
“Mommy!” she yells, crying harder.
I hear a door open behind me.
“Maria, we need to go now!” Applejack yells from the other side or the door.
“You go Applejack! I’ll be out in a minute!” I hear her boots clicking as she runs off. “Honey listen to me,” the girl looks up at me, “I’m goin’ to get you back to your mum ok.”
“Ok,” the girl still looks uncertain.
I hold out my hand which she takes and lets me pick her up. I take flight and fly above the yacht just as it fully sinks under the water. I hear very loud cheering from Pinkie and Bubble as I spot the makeshift raft and fly down with the young girl. I land next to Applejack and place the girl down as she runs to her mum. Blitz and Dash use their super speed to get the raft to the island.
The passengers are all chatting as Applejack and Rarity are sorting out all the life jackets. Ragamuffin walks over and starts talking to Rarity.
“That's the best advice I've ever heard!” Ragamuffin yells and runs off leaving Rarity.
“Thank yo— Wait. What?” Rarity says in shock as Applejack flings her arm around Rarity’s shoulders. Elusive side hugs her.
“So... now what?” Fluttershy asks quietly hugging a bunny.
“We might have a way home. But it's... kinda weird,” Glare and Sunset say smirking at Matt and I.
We all run through the forest until we reach the quicksand.
“Sand?” The girl I rescued earlier asks clinging onto her mum looking up at me.
“It covers a portal to Equestria,” Sunset explains as the girl's eyes go wide.
“Equestria? Where’s that?”
“It’s a long story-” Glare starts.
“Plant monster!” Pinkie and Bubble yell as I use my magic to grab onto it and stop it from injuring anyone.
“Can we-” I pause as I gasp for breath, “hurry this up?” I can only just keep the plant from attacking anyone.
“Ok, Blitz and Dash you two go with Fluttershy, Butterscotch, Pinkie and Bubble into the portal. Matt, Dusk, Twilight, Elusive and Rarity. You five help Maria keep the plant at bay. Glare and I will make sure everyone gets through safely,” Sunset explains as the strain of holding the plant wears off slightly due to the extra help. “AJ, Applejack. You two help out whichever group needs help.”
I hear the magic swirling as a group of people jump in. A group of people scream. The young girl clings to my leg as she starts shaking in fear.
The girl gets pulled away from me as she starts crying again.
“Maria!” She calls still crying.
“Honey calm down,” I pry an eye open to look at her, “go through the portal. I’ll meet you over there I promise,” I see her glance at the sand uncertainly before I have to close my eye again because of the strain.
“Elusive and Rarity, you two go next,” Sunset calls from the portal.
The pair release their magic making the Dusk, Matt, Twilight and I grunt at the extra strain as we have to strengthen our magic.
“I can’t hold it much longer!” The four of us yell.
“We’ll help Dusk and Twilight, you two help Matt and Maria,” I hear Glare say to the four who aren’t using their magic.
I release my magic. I gasp for breath but can barely keep myself awake.
“Maria!” The last thing I hear is seven of my friends yelling my name before I black out.
“Is she alright?”
“She should be. The magic strain was too much.”
“Is she waking up?”
I groan and manage to pry open my eyes.
“What happened?” I ask quietly.
“You passed out,” Matt replies trotting over, “the magic was apparently too much. Y’know the girl you saved didn’t want to leave you.”
“Has everyone gone through the portal?” I ask stretching and laying on my stomach.
“Everyone except us,” Sunset replies.
“We thought that you’d be better recovering here before we went home,” Dash adds in as I pull myself up.
“Yeah. When we get home we can throw a celebration party for saving everyone!” Pinkie and Bubble yell as princess Twilight walks in.
“Ah you’re awake,” she says as we all leave the room. “The portal is just through here.”
Princess Twilight opens the door with her magic.
“Have a nice journey home,” Princess Twilight waves us off as we run through the mirror.
“We’re home!” Bubble and Pinkie yell happily, “you know what that means? Party time!” They jump onto AJ and Applejack backs, making them grunt slightly.
“Yes! I’m so down for that!” Blitz and Dash yell, pumping their fists in the air.
“Let’s go then!” Glare and Sunset say as we leave Canterlot High.
