A Starry Night
1. The One Where Celestia Is Bored
Load Full StoryNext ChapterCelestia was bored. She had finished all of her royal duties ages ago. She even finished all her paperwork for a week! She had already counted all of the 2,638 panes in the stained glass windows, yet she still couldn't sate her boredom.
The diarch tapped her hooves against her throne. This was even worse than the time Nightmare Moon banished her to the moon. Granted, that was only for an hour or two at most, but it was still boring being stuck up there with nothing to do!
"Sharík!" Her voice thundered as she summoned the captain of the sun guard. She was almost positive that he would have some sort of suggestion that she could use to quell her boredom.
The door to the throne room creaked open as Sharík hurried in. He was a bright yellow unicorn with a daffodil-yellow mane. He had received his cutie mark, an orange flower with a sun instead of petals, as soon as he joined the royal guard, solidifying his destiny. The stallion knelt before the alicorn, keeping his eyes trained on the floor. "Yes, your Majesty?"
Celestia took a deep breath and let it out. It was all she could do to keep the whine out of her voice. "I am currently bored with nothing to do. What do you suggest I do to entertain myself?"
Sharík stood up straight, thinking hard. He did not want to let his princess down, but he just could not think of anything. Grasping at straws, the guard imagined what any of the other princesses might find entertaining. Princess Luna probably enjoyed being by herself. No, Celestia would hate that. Princess Cadence probably just enjoyed spending time with her family. That wouldn't work either.
He could feel the diarch's violet gaze boring into him, waiting for the answer. On the verge of panicking, Sharík turned to what Princess Twilight liked. The answer was clear: books. He smiled and gave the deity his answer. "My princess, I suggest journeying down to the library. A good book is hard to resist when one is bored."
Celestia smiled. "Then that is what I shall do. Thank you, Sharík." As the stallion left, she entered the hidden door just behind her throne.
There were corridors all throughout the castle, hidden in places that nopony would even think to look. The princesses used it to move quickly and surreptitiously through their home.
Finally, Celestia emerged in front of the library. As she walked through the big double doors, she smiled, remembering all the times she ran into Twilight Sparkle down here. The young student spent all of her time here before she was sent to Ponyville.
The alicorn shook her head and started browsing. In her younger years, she had devoured all of the texts in here, but nowadays she didn't have a lot of free time.
One book in particular stood out. The thin, black book had been jammed in between two enormous manuscripts, backwards and upside down.
Since she was intrigued by it, Celestia pulled on it and read the title out loud, "Magia Hypnotica."
This book hadn't been here the last time Celestia visited the library; she was sure of that.
Her golden magic flipped through the pages as she scanned the magic spells for something that stood out. She finally settled on page 34.
Mind Melt
This spell allows the user to distort reality for anypony. The pony will fall into a trance and will accept any and all information spoken as complete truth. This will last as long the user desires.
Celestia was conflicted. On the one hoof, she wanted to test this spell out. But, on the other hoof, who would she test it on? And what would she even command?
With these questions swirling around in her mind, the alicorn left the library. She took Magia Hypnotica back to the throne room and continued to wonder who she could test Mind Melt on.
By the time the moon rose, she got her answer.
Author's Note
Sharík - One on whom the sun shines
I generally don't read incest stuff on here, let alone write it, so I'm a bit out of my comfort zone. One of the accounts I follow alerted me to a contest in the "Incest is Wincest" group. Since there are money prizes and I'm a bit strapped for cash, I decided to write something. Please don't judge me based on what this story depicts.
