Children Of Madness

Blood raining from the sky as it soaks the dirt, Bodies burned, broken, or worse in the now ruined Canterlot. Above in the red clouds hides a floating fortress and inside these walls Fears army of turned humans ready for more carnage and destruction. Reggie wounded a bit walks among them and enters the throne room as it holds horror beyond compare, bones made into his throne, bodies mangled in chains above as a chandelier. Reggie sees the doors open to the balcony and sees Fear looking at the work his children have done to his mother's home with a smile and chuckle. Reggie steps behind him and goes on his knee and says, " I returned but sadly they got away father. ". Reggie keeps his eyes down as Fear looks at the tracks then turns around to look at the madness child before him. Before Fear responds he looks at Reggie's head as it has not healed and he makes Reggie stand so he can take a closer look and asks, " What happened? how are you still bleeding? ".

In Fear's lab, he checks Reggy's wounds as he tells Fear what happened down there. After a while Fear removes a pot holding into it a petal, soon as that is removed Reggie's wound closes up like normal. Fear then goes to pick it up and it sizzles in his hand but he doesn't react though he can feel a lot of pain. The petal is black but red surrounding the black around the petal, Reggie says looking at it, " What in Tartarus is that? ". Fear puts it on the table and looks at his hand and sees it wounded him like it was a burning blade. Fear then says, " I'm not sure but that is an interesting effect. Till I can figure out what flower this is and its effect on us tell the rest to be aware of any flowers with those colors. ". Reggie nods and gets up and is about to leave but stops and looks at Fear and asks's, " And the ones that are full-on red eyes? ". Fear turns and looks at him and says, " They are of no matter, I control their weak minds. All of them are not like you and the others you have no problem killing but sadly they don't understand. ". Reggie nods and leaves.

Fear walks around his fortress and reaches the children who were born from dragons and they bow before him and he says, " Follow that track I want to know where they went. Do not attack only observe where that train goes. ". They nod and as Fear pulls a lever a large door opens, they stand and large wings sprout from there backs and fly off to do there mission. In his throne, Fear thinks to himself as there is now something that can pose a threat to his plans, He then goes off to run studies with his sample.

========== On the train to the Empire ============

In the train carts, the injured are tended to their wounds as they feel defeated by the hands of the demon. Twilight and the other princesses talk as they figure out there next plan. " These children are impossible to kill. Even a stab in the chest with a spear did nothing but made that thing chuckle. ". Luna says. Celestia shakes her head saying, " Nothing is unkillable, every creature has a weakness we just need to find out their's. ". Luna Laughs and says, " How? go up to one of them and ask, hey mind if we take you and try and kill you?. ". Celestia shakes her head and thinks about the fights with these things and the attacks. Celestia says, " From my encounter with Fear the first round Silver said he struck Fears back and his ghost arms vanished and he seemed to be in pain. Maybe there is something we can work on. ". Twilight being silent thinking about what she saw. Luna then waves her hoof in Twilights face she snaps out of it and says, " Sorry I was thinking about something with Reggie. ". Celestia and Luna with questioning looks at her and Twilight explains when Celestia slammed that flower pot on his head and as we ran Reggie seemed to be in excruciating pain, more so then it should be. Celestia thinks about the flower pot and remembers an odd flower in it. Celestia says, " There was an odd flower in it, Black petals with red rims and a purple stem. I never saw anything like that before. ". The whistle of the train blows as they arrive at there destination.

The surviving refugees make there way out and see the Crystal empire has been untouched in this war surprisingly. Twilight notices those strange flowers around the train station and they go in a line in both directions. Twilight takes one of them to study and they walk into the Empire. The Crystal ponies look in shock to see so many and offer to help in any way they can, Cadance then trots up to them surprised how many wounded and asks, " What happened? From your letter, you had more than this. ". Celestia sighs and says, " A madness child named Reggie came and he single-handedly took so many lives but we luckily got away. ". Cadence nods and takes them and the main six into the castle and from what she says, " The madness children have not made there way out here and lucky for us. My top unicorns have planted ruin crystals in the ground to make a barrier so hopefully keeps them out. ". Twilight looks at the flower and Rarity looks at it and asks, " Twilight what is that beautiful looking flower?. " Twilight then says, " I don't know. But I believe it can help if only we knew more about it. Cadance do you have a lab or anything? ". Cadence shakes her head and says, " No sadly not. ".

Celestia thinks if there is any way to find out about this flower. She then has an idea of who may know and she says, " Well I know one pony smart enough to help but he is a bit of a problem. ". Luna's eyes widen as she knows who she is talking about and says, " No, no, no no, Tartarus no. There is no way in Equestria your thinking of going to that lunatic and asking for his help! ". Celestia says, " We have no other choice sister. He is as old as us and has traveled to many corners of Equestria as you hunted him down along with Silver. If any pony can know what that flower is and help us figure out what it can do we have to get him. ". The main six and Cadance look at them confused and Apple Jack asks, " Pardon me princesses, but um who is he? ". Celestia sighs and says, " He is a criminal we came across many years ago. A sick monster but with a mind that rivals many before his time. He had a sick obsession with dissecting and surgery he even did it to himself and removed his own beating heart and nerves so he won't ever die or feel anything. ". Luna then adds, " When we finally found where he was it took an army to finally take him in but we lost half of them within an hour. ". The main six looks as if there were about to vomit from the details they say about him and Celestia say's, " He gave us his name in the end, Worst. ". Luna shudders.

Before they can continue a guard enters and breaths hard. Cadance looks and asks, " What is it? ". The guard breathing hard and says, " Scouts found a winged madness child outside in the air. Before we could get it down it flew off. ". Celestia says, " Drat they now know where we are and no doubt they will bring him to us. ". Cadance orders the guard to get every pony and refugee in hiding. Pinky pie looks at Celestia and asks, " If Worst really can help isn't he dead then? I mean he must be really really REALLY old by now ". Luna shakes her head and says, " No his experiments always work and him removing his own heart and nerves worked. Worst is incapable of dying or feel any pain at all. ". Twilight looks at Celestia and asks, " Where can we find him? ". " In the darkest deepest pits of Tartarus under powerful magical locks and cage. ". Luna says with anger in her eyes.

=========== In the Fortress =========

The winged Madness children return to the floating Fortress and go to Fear and bow to him and one of them says, " Father we have located them in the Crystal Empire. ". Fear chuckles and turns to them and nods as they leave and as he sits on his throne his eyes glow as the fortress and storm move, " The countdown to the end begins now mother dearest. ". Fear says with a laugh as the fortress heads for its new target.
