Children Of Madness

A portal opens by Celestia and Luna to the cage. A clod breeze flows out as they see a dim light tunnel leading down, Luna with anger leaves the room and Celestia sighs. Twilight looks down it and Celestia says, " Once you get down there ask him your questions, but you must follow these three rules. ". The main six get close to listen and Celestia says, " One, do not get to close to the cage. Two, Do not let him get in your head Worst is good at twisting his words around to his advantage. Lastly three, under no reason no matter what he says or asks, Never ever open the door to his cage. ".

The main six nod and they enter slowly as Celestia hands Twilight the spell to open the portal from there side to here. As Twilight enters the portal closes and they go down the stone-carved staircase as the air is cold that the hairs on their coats stand. Pinkey with a chill says, " Twilight are we sure we should do this? Its supper, supper, SUPER cold here and Worst sounds extremely dangerous and unfriendly. ". Rainbow nods and says, " Yeah I mean why would he help us. For all, we know he won't do anything for us. ". Flutter Shy shakes a bit out of worry of her animals and Rarity tries to help her calm down as they descend deeper and deeper into Tartarus. They hear animals roar and creatures snarl as they make there way deeper and deeper till they hear classical opera music and they reach a cage held in the air by four massive chains over a deep dark pit.

Twilight pulls a lever that Celestia instructed her to pull to talk to him. The chain groan and gears moan as it activates and the cage lowers till it's at the rim of the pit so they may speak to him eye to eye. They see inside the cage has luxury and a record player with some books and a desk with a little black book and quill. The main six looks at all this and Rarity loving the couch and chair and folding wall how they fit with the room and she says, " This Worst maybe a sick murderous killer but I will give him this, he has good taste in furniture. ". The other look at her and shake their heads and Apple Jack rolls her eyes. They notice a shadow behind the folding wall as it moves behind it and then they hear a voice say, " The chair is from a prince of Saddle Arabia and the couch made from the dragon wastes. The colors match and the comfort is surprising. ".

The Shadow moves and they see before them an extremely pale unicorn with black dirty hair and crimson red eyes that shine like rubies. His skin is full of stitches as he walks up to them and bows his head to them and says with a calm tone, " Hello ponies, I am Worst. Are you here to release me or is this more hooves on visit? ". Worst looks them up and down with a grin and the girls back up but Twilight doesn't budge and he grins and says, " So your the bravest of them all huh? But your heart is racing and brow sweating indicates you have some fear behind your facade. ". Twilight is surprised considering he is 3 feet away and can tell all this without her getting closer.

Worst chuckles as he watches them. Rainbow then says, " If you know so much then you must know why we're here. ". He looks at her with a serious look and says, " Oh I know why your here. You're here to fix a problem Celestia made and she seems to can't figure out how to stop or solve said problem. ". Twilight then explains what is happing to Equestria and Worst chuckles as if she was telling a joke. Once he stops and says, " I know I do not believe in much but there will always be someone like him. ". Twilight looks at him and asks, " What do you mean by that? ". Worst sighs and shakes his head and says, " You know I take back my comment about you being the smartest out of this group. Hey, pink one do you want to take a crack at it? ". Pinky then shrugs and nods and Twilight annoyed asks, " Just answer the question what do you mean by there will always be someone li-. ". Worst then smiles and says, " Now she gets it. ".

Worst goes up to the bars and says, " There can never be peace and harmony in this world. Your Princesses talk of harmony and balance yet they are further from the truth. Sun and moon, light and dark, good and evil will always be. Get rid of one, this world will always give birth to another entity of good or evil. A never-ending cycle. ". They look at him and think back at there fights with past enemies, What he says is true. He looks at them and smiles and says, " Just look at me. I was born with my hobby in this world, and despite my mother's help I still became what I am today. There will always be evil either born from the world naturally. ". Worst points to himself and then says, " Or made by somepony who does not understand what they tamper with. ".

Twilight then stomps the ground and says, " Enough Worst! We came here to ask a question to you that may help us beat Fear. ". Worst looks at her seriously and awaits her question. " Do you know of a flower with black petals with red outlines and a purple stem? ". Worst rubs his hoof under his chin and thinks then he goes to his black book and opens it and says, " In my travels for specimens I was curious of these flowers Found in what was left of the Crystal kingdom. ". Worst flips his pages and stops on one and he reads, " Blood blossoms. A rare flower that only grows in this region, through pony history it is said these flowers natures negative energy barriers. It is also known to hurt and drain negative energy from items or creatures. ". Twilight thinks to herself, " That's why Reggie was hurting so much. If we can make these into a weapon we may have a chance of defeating Fear and these madness children. ". Worst closes his book and looks at them with a smile. Rarity says, " Why are you looking at us like that? ". Worst looks at her and says, " Oh nothing, just imagine what I can do to your bodies once I get out. So many possibilities. ". The Main six shudder.

They feel the ground shakes violently. Twilight looks around and Worst looks up. Flutter shy says scared, " W-w-what was that? ". Worst continues to look up and says, " Tell me Twilight, was it? This is Tartarus, can you tell me other than animals and all other beasts down here what else is here? ". Twilight thinks and then her eyes widen, " Negative energy. ". Twilight says. Worst nods and the main six worries and Apple Jack looks up the stairwell and she can hear footsteps coming down, " Ya'll we need to get to getting now there coming! ". Twilight looks at her and says, " How? That staircase is the only way back to open the portal this place has no magic. ". Worst then says, " You know I do know of a way out of here without the use of the front door or your spell. ".

Twilight looks at him and asks, " What do you mean? ". Rainbow looks at Twilight and says, " Twi remember what Celestia said no matter what he said. ". Twilight looks at her and then at Worst. Worst then says, " Whatever your choice I can't die but you all can. So set me free and I will help you escape alive. ". Pinkey then looks at him saying, " How do we know you won't betray us and trick us? ". Worst looks at them and says, " Cause I rather leave then spend my days smelling your rotting corpses on the floor. ". Twilight looks at the stairwell as they are getting closer then she says, " Fine. I'll let you out, But You have to give me your word that you will help us and help us beat Fear. ". Worst the have grin and chuckles saying, " Alright you have my word. ". Twilight with a sigh goes up to the cage door and she closes her eyes and focuses on the two locks. The locks shake and crack as she grunts and groans breaking them till finally as she almost faints the locks break and the door is unlocked.

Worst takes his book and his bag and puts it on his back as he opens the gate. He leaves the cage and stands before Twilight, He reeks of rotting corpses and then lifts her up. Twilight then says, " Alright your free, now show us out. ". Worst then goes to a wall and looks at it and closes his eyes as his horn glows red and then the wall shakes and opens revealing a portal but its not active. Worst turns and looks at them and says, " This leads to where ever we choose but it has enough juice for a short while since it been a few hundred years since it was used. ". Worst approaches the portal along with the ponies as the door starts to close and seals them in the portals room but not before the madness children see it close. They hear the wall-banging as they break their way in through the obsidian. Rainbow Dash asks, " So how does this work? ". Worst steps to the pedestal before it as vines and webs cover the portal's stone sides. Worst then presses the stones on it and then the portals symbols glow as the portal activates and he looks at them and says, " This will take us to the Crystal Empire. ".

Since Twilight does not trust him she uses her magic and levitates him and throws his in. The obsidian breaks as the girls go in and when the last pony goes in the portal closes as the madness children enter and growl with anger.

=========== The Crystal Empire ==========

The portal opens in the Throne room as they all fall and land on each other in a pile. Celestia helps them up along with Luna but then as they do they see the pale pony and Luna with anger takes out a blade and slams him to the wall with the blade on his neck. Worst coughs and looks at her and says, " Nice to see you too Luna. I see you haven't changed much. ". She cuts his neck and they see sand replaced his blood. Luna with anger says, " How is he out! Why did you let him out! ". Celestia mad looks at Twilight and says, " Why did you let him out it was the biggest rule. ". Before she can Worst say, " They had no other choice. It would seem Tartarus is under siege with Madness children. If they did not let me out, they would have perished. ". Before they could continue Celestia looks at the windows and sees blood rain.

They go outside and see The fortress before the Empire and an army of Madness children and in front of them all Fear and Emma stand and with a grin Fear says, " Come out dear mother! Let's have a chat! ".
