Cross Between Two Worlds

It was a bright and beautiful day in Ponyville, two pegasus ponies could be seen zipping round through the air. The blue pegasus was the fastest of the two, and was flying around at a fast pace, her rainbow mane blowing behind her as she flew. She slows to a stop to see if the other pegasus was behind her. She can be really slow! She thinks, smirking slightly.

She spotted the other pegasus pony, as she recognized the flash of white and blue right away. The white pegasus flew next to the blue Pegasus, her blue mane with a lighter coloured streak settling over one of her magenta eyes.

The blue pegasus smirks. "I thought I lost you!"

The white pegasus smiles. "Not a chance Rainbow Dash!"

Rainbow Dash flies in a circle around the white pegasus pony. She seemed like a pegasus, though there was something different about her. She had... a magical aurora to her. "Come on Comet Fire! Lets see if you can do better!" Rainbow Dash grins, looking to her friend.

Comet Fire smirks, a hint of competitiveness sparking in her eye. "With pleasure!"

Comet Fire spreads her wings as she starts to fly straight upwards. Rainbow Dash watches her, confused. What's she trying to do?

The white pegasus then started to spiral down ward, her speed continually increasing. Rainbow Dash watches as she makes a spiral sonic boom, the force from the stunt pushing Rainbow Dash back slightly. Rainbow Dash stares blankly at the sight. "...Never seen that before."

Comet Fire flies up, hovering next to Rainbow Dash. "Eheh... I didn't know I could do that..."

Rainbow Dash puts her arm around Comet Fire. "That was pretty neat! Now watch this!" She unhooks herself from Comet Fire and zooms across the sky, making a sonic rainboom within a matter of seconds. Comet Fire stares wide-eyed at her friend, her mouth slightly agape. Rainbow Dash smirks, watching Comet Fire's reaction. "Never seen a sonic rainboom before?"

Comet Fire slowly shakes her head as Rainbow Dash flies down beside her, chuckling lightly. "Well, now you've seen one. Pretty awesome, right?"

Comet Fire shakes her head, looking back to the rainbow coloured pony. "Come on, lets get back to practicing!"

They practiced for what seemed like hours, both were tired when they finished. They decided to rest on a cloud, Rainbow Dash flopping down onto the large cloud. "That... was... amazing!" She panted.

Comet Fire laid down beside Rainbow Dash. "Yeah... it was."

Rainbow Dash lays down on her back and closes her eyes. "We'll practiced more tomorrow..... Hey you think I'll ever be good enough to join the Wonderbolts?"

Comet Fire gives a small smile. "Of course you will! You just need a teeny tiny bit more practice!"

Rainbow Dash smiles, pleased to hear her friend's positive point of view. "Thanks, Comet."

Comet Fire grins. "No problem, Dash!"

A comfortable silence overtake the two as they lay on the cloud, watching the clouds higher above them pass by, feeling the refreshing breeze blow through the air. Comet Fire blinks slightly in confusion when she spots something strange. "Hey what's that?" She chirps, pointing up towards the object.

Rainbow Dash opens her eyes and looks to where Comet Fire was pointing. It looked like a cloud but... it was pure black, not grey like a normal rain cloud. Rainbow Dash cocks her head slightly in confusion. "It looks like... a cloud."

Comet Fire flies up into the air. "I'm gonna go check it out."

Rainbow Dash watches as her friend flies up to the cloud, confused.

Then she heard something.

Thunder.

It came from right above them. Thunder could only mean.... "COMET!!! WAIT !!!!"

But it was too late. The lighting struck Comet Fire, and just as fast as it came, both the cloud and Comet Fire disappeared, as if they never existed. Panic strikes Rainbow Dash, she immediately races toward the library. "TWILIGHT!!!!!" She bursts through the door and into a book shelf, knocking all of the books in it down on top of her.

"Rainbow Dash?" She hears a mare's voice.

Rainbow Dash shakes the books off of her head and looks the purple unicorn in front of her. "Twilight!"

Twilight looks at her, confused. "Rainbow do you need-"

She looks at Rainbow Dash and sees the panic in her eyes. "Rainbow..." Her voice shook as she talked, she knew if Rainbow Dash was scared, something horrible had happened. "...What happened?"

Rainbow dash springs up into the air as she panics. "IT'S COMET FIRE!!!! SHE'S GONE!!!!"
