Cross Between Two Worlds

Comet Fire slowly wakes up in what feels like a hospital bed. Everything was dark, quiet mummers echo through the room. She soon notices her eyes were covered by a bandage, causing her to become confused. She hears voices. Six colts. This fact only makes her more confused.

"Will she be alright?"

"What happened?"

"Not sure, she fell out of the sky and her eyes were bleeding. They kind of looked as if they had been burned some how."

"Good thing you caught her, or she might been in worse shape then she already is."

"The doctor said she should wake up any day now."

They continued to talk. Three left. Then one left. Two stayed behind. She hears hoofsteps. "Doctor!" The voice that spoke was soft and quiet. The colt reminds Comet Fire of Fluttershy. "How is she?"

"She'll be fine." The voice that spoke was a mare's voice. "She'll be able to go home once she wakes up, though she'll have to keep the bandages around her eyes for a few more days."

"O-oh... But we don't know where she lives o-or if she has any family to take care of her."

"Then one of you will have to take care of her while she has the bandages on. Now if you'll excuse me, I have other patients to attend to." Hoofsteps indicate that the mare had left.

The other colt spoke, reminding Comet Fire of Rainbow Dash. "Ugh, fine! I'll take her home."

"Rainbow Blitz! You can't take her to your cloud home!"

Rainbow Blitz... Comet thought. That's one name down.

"And why not?" Rainbow Blitz sounds annoyed.

The other colt spoke calmly. "Because she's blind right now! What if she falls off of a cloud?"

"She has wings! She can use them!"

"But how will she know where the cloud is? I'll take her to my cottage, it's on the ground and safe for her to walk around in."

"Fine." Rainbow Blitz sounds really annoyed by this.

Comet Fire shifts a bit, groaning slightly as the pain from her eyes finally sets in. "Hey she's awake!"

Comet Fire felt one of them nuzzle her, as if they were trying to comfort her. "It's okay. Come on, I'll take you to my home."

"A-alright." Comet Fire replied. She felt a tail brush against her face. "Here, grab my tail and I'll lead you home."

Gently, Comet Fire bit down on the tail. Slowly, she is guided by the strange pony, her ears twitching as she listens to noises pass her. She listens as the pony checks her out of the hospital, eventually being guided out of the building. She gasps lightly, suddenly feeling the ground lift away from her hooves, she guessed that one of them put her on his back. "Come on! This is taking too long!" It was Rainbow Blitz. "I'll carry her there!"

She felt herself rising into the air as they started to fly, feeling the other colt gently brush beside her, making sure she doesn't fall off. "H-hi. I-I'm Butterscotch."

Comet Fire smiles a little. "My name is Comet Fire."

"Rainbow Blitz." Rainbow Blitz remarked.

"Pleasure to meet you." Comet Fire greets politely.

Comet Fire felt herself gently slide off of Rainbow Blitz's back. "Here. I'll check up on her tomorrow, I have to go."

Butterscotch puts his wing around Comet Fire to help guide her. "Alright Blitz!" Butterscotch leads Comet Fire inside the cottage, and into one of the bedrooms. "Here, you can stay here for now."

Comet Fire smiles. "Thank you."

"I-I'll leave you to get settled." Comet Fire hears hoofsteps leaving the room, noting Butterscotch was now gone.

She slowly makes her way to the bed, laying down on it. She thinks for a moment, trying to process what had happened to her. Butterscotch is a really nice pony! But... I thought my friends would have been here to help me...
