The next morning at Sweet Apple Acres.Detective Sergeant Lonny Williams,A human Who serves with The Royal Canterlot Police Department.Ponyville Barracks.was getting ready for work.He lived with his wife,an earth pony named Applejack,who was "The Element of Honesty"and her family.Granny Smith.Applebloom,who wants to be a cop when she grows up,like her brother in law,and her own brother,Big Macintosh,Who in addition to being Lonny's Brother in Law,is also Lonny's partner on the department.They actually made a good detective team.And solved alot of cases over the years.

Lonny showered and gotten dressed.As put his badge,"SERGEANT ROYAL CANTERLOT POLICE"Badge number "99",and clipped it to his belt,took his gun a 3in barreled .44 Magnum revolver,loading it with 6 rounds of .44 Special hallowpoint rounds and putting 2 speed loaders each with 6 rounds in his speed loader pouches on his belt. And his gun in his holster then heard Applejack say,"Sugercube.Breakfest."

Lonny replied,"Comin hun."And put on his necktie,grabbed his jacket,gun,and handcuffs.And went downstairs to the dinning room,and saw his beautiful mare.And placed his gun on a small table next to Big Macs 4in barred .38Special.The Apple family Matriarch Granny Smith had rules,one of them was No guns at the table.Lonny respected the rules since he is married to Applejack.

As Lonny came to the table He kissed Applejack and said,"Morning Honey.Morning family."

Applejack smiled and replied,"Mornin Sugarcube."

The rest of the family all said "Morning Lonny."

As Lonny sat with his wife.Sister in law Applebloom.Big Mac and Granny Smith.Breakfest was on the table.Apple Cinnimon Pancakes.Eggs.Turkey Sausage.Apple juice and Coffee.

Applebloom was about to reach or her food,but was stopped by Granny.Who said,"Now just wait youngin.Ya know we don't eat until we say grace."Granny then looked at Lonny and said,"Lonny would you lead us in prayer."

Lonny then bowed his head,putting his hands together and the rest followed suit.Lonny then said,"Great Creator.Creator of all life.We thank you for this day.We thank you for the blessings of family and friends.We thank you for your wonderous bounty,and for these gifts we are about to receive.In the name of friendship.And in your glory.Now and forever.Amen."

The rest of the family all said,"Amen."

As the Lonny and the family were eating.Granny said,"Well ahh hope you boys will be freed up by the weekend.We got Cider season comin up."

Big Mac replied,"Eyup.As long as we don't have any cases comin in."

Lonny then said,"Yeah I hear you Granny.Besides.I love cider season."

Applejack then said,"Well Rainbow Dash really loves it.Until,she's had a few."

The family laughed,but it was short lived as the phone rang in the kitchen.Lonny got up and answered the phone.

Lonny said,"Sweet Apple Acres........Speaking.......Yeah??......Where??.....OK.......Coroner and Labs boys on scene??....Right,,,,,about 15-20 minutes.

Lonny Hung up and checked his gun,and put it back in his holster.Put on his jacket.Went back to the dining area and said to BigMac."Lets go bro.We got a case."

BigMac replied,"Eyup."and got up and put his own gun in his holster.And put his jacket on.said goodbye to the family.Lonny kissed Applejack and he and Big Mac left the house,got into Lonny's pride and joy.A Metallic Blue 1972 Javelin 2 door sport car. and left for the crime scene.

Loony and Big Mac arrived about 15 minutes later and exited their car and walked up to the scene.After flashing their badges,both detectives saw a uniformed police officer,a human and spoke with him.

Lonny said,"Williams and Apple.What do we got?"

The officer replied,"We have a mare,about 25.Found dead.It looks like a burglary that may have gone south.CSI and The M.E. are inside now.

Big Mac asked,"Any Witnesses we can talk ta?"

The Officer named Conners replied,"Nope.Not a one,Everypony we talked to thought it was the TV or something."

Big Mac then asked,"Who found her??"

The officer replied,pointing to a green earth pony,"That guy right there.Hi name is Lime Juice.Says he's kind of a coltfriend."

Big Macs right eye brow raised and he said,"Kind of a coltcoltfriend??"

Conners answered,"Thats what he said Detective."

Lonny said,"OK.We'll take it from here.Keep the lookylews outta here."

Conners nodded and replied,"We'll do."

As Lonny and Big Mac entered the apertment.The body was on the floor being examined by Vanilla Pudding.Who is with The Greater Canterlot Office of The Medical Examiner,Coroner.

Lonny asked Big Mac,You want the boyfriend,or Van??

Big Mac replied,You talk to Van.You know I don't like the gross stuff.

Lonny grinned at his pony partner and said,And you call yourself a homicide detective.

Big Mac walked up to Lime Juice and said,"Mr.Juice.Royal Canterlot Police.Ahh'm Detective Apple.I'm very sorry for you're loss,can ya'all tell me what happened??"

As Big Mac continued talking to Lime Juice.Lonny walked up to Van and asked,"Morning Van,What do we have?"

Pudding took the live thermoniter and replied,"Hey Lonny.We have here,is Ms. Blu Buttercup.And judging from the liver temp and rigor mortis.I'd say the poor mare has been dead for about 10 hours."

Lonny asked,"Any idea as to cause of death?"

Pudding replied,"Well from the petechial hemorrhaging in the eyes,and the indentation on the neck fur.I'd say she was strangled.I'll confirm it when I get her to my lab."

Loony then asked,"She was only wearing a towel.Any signs of sex?"

Pudding replied,"Not offhand that I can see.After I examine her.I'll let you know.

Pudding looked at his assistant and said,"OK.Lets get this poor mare outta here."

As the body was taken away Big Mac sent Lime Juice with a patrol officer outside,after he was done talking to him.Crime Scene Investigator Spy Glass.A gray unicorn whose cutie mark was a spyglass came up.

Spy Glass said,Detectives."We dusted the place for prints,looks like they all belonged to the victim.However we did find something."

Bag Mac asked,"What ya'all find.

Spy Glass showed three feathers found next to the body,one found in the palm of the victims right hand.One of them was also broken in two.

Lonny asked,"What kinda feathers are these??"

Spy Glass replied,"I dunno,but I'll bet you guys about 20bits these came from a Griffon."

Big Mac said,"Uh-uh.No bet here.I know better than ta bet wit ya Spy."

Lonny also said,"Same here.Applejack got mad at me for losing 100bits,that last time I bet with you."

Spy glass chuckled and said,"Hehehe.Chickens.Anyway.I got stuff at the lab to anyalize.I'll let you guys know what I find."

Lonny said,"OK Spy.See you later."

After Spy Glass and his assistants left.Lonny sqauted down and put his hand on his chin.Bai Mac has seen this before,and knew what it meant.

Big Mac said,"What's on yer mind brother??"

Lonny replied,What makes you think,there's something on my mind??

Big Mac Replied,Well.6 years as mah partner.And 4 years as my brother in law when ya married Applejack.I'd say I know ya better than anypony,includin mah sister.

Lonny replied,I should know better by now,anyway.This dosen't look like your average burglarly.I mean look at this.The TV is still here.The stereo is also here,and the boombox,also jewelry and cash.just torn up cushions and pillows.And drawers pulled out.No no no no partner.Whatever these guys were looking for.They were on a clock.And I think,the victim came home early and ruined their timetable.

Big Mac replied,OK.I'll bite.What in tarnation were these varmint's lookin fer??

Lonny answered,That My Bro-in-law,is what we need to find out.

Chapter 1.Lonny and Big Mac are called to the scene of the crime.And begin the investigation.Where will the case will lead our hero's??Stay tune.

And as to Lonny's car.I wanted to give him a car that was the type and style driven by TV cops Like,Starsky & Hutch and Starsky's 1974 Red Ford Torino.With the white stripe.Or like Nash Bridges and his 1971 Pylmouth Barracuda,or "The Cudda"as it was called.I wanted to give Lonny a car that popped THE COOL FACTOR!!So I choose the AMC Javelin,or "The Jav"as Lonny calls it.
