After Lonny and Big Mac questioned some of the victims neighbors,which one of them,a nosy busybody unicorn named Chatterbox,who had a set of teeth as her cutie mark.Lonny and Big Mac walked up to her door and Lonny knocked.Chatterbox opened the door and asked,Yeah.What do you want??

Lonny flashed his badge and said,Police."I'm Sergeant Williams.This is my partner Detective Apple.We like to ask you a few questions."

Chatterbox asked,"Questions about what??"

Lonny replied,"About BluButtercup.She was found dead in her apartment."

Chatterbox said,"Well.I'm not surprised."

Big Mac asked,"Why is that ma'am??"

Chatterbox answered,"Because.She was a loose mare.Bringin males and females home with her and havin sex with them."

Lonny asked,"Ponies??"

Chatterbox replied,"Everything.Ponies,humans.You name it.She was ruttin it.She even had a few of them sex orgies."

Lonny and Big Mac both noticed a telescope by the window and pointed at Blu Buttercups apartment.

Big Mac asked,"And how would you know that??"

Chatterbox replied,"Never you mind.I just know."

Lonny asked,"OK.So did you see anything last night.Anypony suspicious hanging around??"

Chatterbox said,"No I didn't see nuthin.I went to bed early.Now if you two don't mind.I have to get ready for work."

Lonny then said,"Allright.Thank you for your time ma'am."

As Lonny and Big Mac were leaving Big Mac looked at Chatterbox and said,"Ya know ma'am.Pepping into other peoples homes is a crime.If I were you.I'd be thinkin about gettin a new hobby."

Chatterbox snorted as the two detectives left and got back in Lonny's Javelin or "The Jav" and drove back to the station.Big Mac and Lonny arrived at Royal Canterlot Police Department.Ponyville Barracks.A 2 story building and a basement,which is were the evidence locker and holding cells were located.The 1st floor was the business office,patrol watch commander,watch sergeant,booking area.And The Barracks Commanders Office.

Lonny parked his car and he and Big Mac entered the building.And saw the front desk already bustling with activity,and it wasn't even 10 O'Clock in the morning.Lonny and Big Mac walked upstairs to the 2nd floor,but first Big Mac made a stop and spoke to the desk sergeant.Then went upstairs to the"Squad Room Detectives."The office had about 15 detectives working various crimes.Robbery.Drugs.Rape and Murder.As well as other crimes.Lonny and Big Mac went to the breakroom and each poured a hot fresh cup of coffee,and each grabbed a doughnut.Hey.They were cops after all.

After the two sat down at their desks,which face each other.Lonny and Big Mac were enjoying their doughnut and coffee,when their boss,Captain Gale Goldtalon.A Griffon came up to them.

Goldtalon said,"OK boys.So what do you have??"

Lonny replied,"We have Blu Buttercup.Female,Earth Pony.25 years old.model by trade,and her cutie mark.Which is a mirror.Found dead in her apartment.Might have been strangled.From a botched burglary."

Big Mac then said,"Only thing is.We don't know what the killer or killers were after.Lonny and I agree.This aint no run of the mill break in.We think the victim came home early and that might have spooked the killer."

Goldtalon then asked,"Witnesses??"

Lonny replied,"Just some busybody who likes peeping into other ponies home,with a telescope.Said the victim batted for both teams,like ponies and humans,male and female and she had orgies."

Big Mac said,"And Ahh talked to the Coogan on the way up,and I put her on patrols radar.If she sees a few radio cars on her block in front of her building.She may git the hint."

Goldtalon asked,"So where did the victim work??And what about her financials??"

Lonny replied,"Well we don't know where she worked,yet.As to her financails,we're gonna go see the manager over at First Bank of Ponyville.Where she has an account,and maybe we'll know where her last job was."

Goldtalon said,"Well,be sure you go see Princess Twilight for a court order."

Big Mac said,"Eyup.And one other thing.The victim was from Appleloosa.I'll call Sheriff Silverstar,and have him notify her family."

Lonny then added,"And the lab boys found about 3 Griffon wing feathers at the crime scene.The lab will call us when they match the feathers with their owners,provided they are in the system of course."

Goldtalon then said,"OK.Get to it.See where the case goes."

As Goldtalon was walking away back to his office.He said,"Are you two still here??"

Lonny and Big Mac both got up from their desks,and Lonny replied,"We're leavin now Cap."

Big Mac asked,"How in tarnation does he do that??"

Soon the human/pony detective exited the barracks and got in their car and left.First stop.The Castle of Friendship.As Lonny and Big Mac walked up to the door and knocked.The door opened and there was Spike.The baby dragon,and Twilight's assistant.

Spike said,"Hi Lonny.Hi Big Mac.What can I do for you guys??"

Lonny said,"We need to see Twilight."

Spike asked,"Princess of Friendship,of Magistrate??"

Big Mac replied,"Magistrate."

Spike said,OK.Come on in.Hey Twilight!!!Lonny and Big Mac are here.Official business.

Princess Twilight Sparkle,The Princess of Friendship came down from the second floor of her castle and saw the detectives,who were also her friends.And said,"Oh HI Lonny.Hi Big Mac,So what's up??"

Lonny said,"Hi Twilight.We need a court order to have The First Bank of Ponyville open the bank records on a homicide victim."

Twilight said,"OK.Lets see what you got."

Big Mac handed Twilight the affidavit and Twilight read it carefully.When see was done reading it.Twilight spoke.

Twilight asked,"So will the information from the bank records,help you two to find who killed this poor mare??"

Big Mac replied,"It will give us a place ta start.Maybe it will lead us to her last job,as a freelance model and all."

Lonny added,"And it may lead us to her killer or killers,but we won't know,until the bank opens their books."

Twilight then said,"Allright.Both of you.Raise your right hands."

Lonny and Big Mac raised their right hands and Twilight said,"Do you solemnly swear,under penalty of perjury.That the information in this affidavit which is subject to subpeona in any court of law in The Kingdom of Equestria,is to the best of you're knowledge,truthful and factual??"

Lonny said,"I do."

Big Mac also said,"I do."

Twilight said,"Good.Spike.Type up the order for Lonny and Big Mac."And about 30 minutes later they were both back in "The Jav" and headed to The First Bank of Ponyville.

Lonny and Big Mac entered the bank and asked to see the bank president.The bank president,A human named Francis Gilman.

Mr.Gilman put out his hand and said,"Good afternoon gentlecolts,I'm Francis Gilman.How may I help you."

Big Mac and Lonny showed their badges and Big Mac said,"Royal Canterlot Police.I'm Detective Apple.And this here's mah partner Sergeant Williams.We have a court order to search the bank records of one Blu Buttercup."

Mr.Gilman asked,"And what is this pretaining to??"

Lonny replied,"It's related to a murder investigation.Ms.Buttercup was found dead in her apartment,early this morning."

Mr.Gilman said,"Oh.I see.This way please to my office.I'll have my secretary get you all the information you need."

Heres the second chapter.Lonny and Big Mac talk to a nosy neighbor,and have to get bank records.

Now as to why I choose to call the police station "Barracks"instead of precient,division.Or station.Before The Royal Canterlot Police Department was first formed.The Royal Guard handled all police duties throughout Equestria.And had barracks in every city and town.When humans began emergrating to Equestria over the centuries,Some humans were policemen in their old countries,and convinced Princess Celestia that civilian police and sheriff's depertments would be more atune to both preventing and solving crimes.WhenThe Royal Canterlot Police Department was formed in the 1860s,It was decided to keep the name Barracks,since many of Canterlot's first sworn cops were coming from The Royal Guard.
