Lonny and Big Mac were given copies of all of Blu Buttercups bank records,after leaving the bank,both got back into "The Jav"and went to a local delicatessian and ordered sub sandwhiches,patato chips,Kettle Cooked of course,Kane Cola,and cookies for dessert.And drove back to Ponyville Barracks.As soon as the detectives entered the building,Sergeant Jerry Coogan,a human and a veteran of 20 years with The R.C.P.D.motioned to Lonny and Big Mac.

Coogan said,"Hey fellas.Got a messege for you.Spy Glass at The lab called,said to call him back."

Big Mac took the messege and replied,"Eyup.Thanks Coogan.We'll call him."

Both detectives went upstairs and sat at their desks,as they ate.Lonny called Records and Identification to see if Blu Buttercup had any kind of criminal record.They would call back if they found anything or not.Lonny was looking at Blu Buttercups bank records,while Big Mac called the Crime Lab.Taking his notepad and pen and wrote down notes as he was talking to Spy Glass at The Crime Lab which was located at Royal Canterlot Police Department Headquarters in Downtown Canterlot.Lonny was looking at the printout of Blu Buttercups bank records,Lonny found something interesting.Big Mac saw this,and knew what it meant when Lonny's right eyebrow raised up.Big Mac was finished talking to Spy Glass and hung up the phone.

Big Mac asked,"What ya'all got there brother??"

Lonny answered,Just lookin at this bank statement.Here have a look."

Big Mac took the statement and looked at it and said,"We'll ahh'll be."

Lonny replied,"Let's go see the old bird."

Just then Lonny phone rang.He answered it and said,"Ponyville Barracks.Williams......Yeah........OK.....Nothing else???.....OK....Got it.....Thanks.

Lonny hung up,then he and Big Mac walked up to Captain Goldtalons office,they could see their captain on the phone,Lonny tapped on the glass,Goldtalon saw Lonny and Big Mac and motioned for them to come in.Goldtalon was talking to Mayor Mare,who was on the other end.Lonny and Big Mac walked in on the last half of the conversation.

Goldtalon said on the phone,Yes mayor Mare....I completely understand.........I don't like murders in this town either........I can assure you.This case will be resolved......Yes.....As soon as possible........Mayor Mare.I have two of my best detectives on this case.......I understand.....Goodbye Mayor.

Goldtalon hung up the phone,and looked at his detectives and said,"Boys.I just got an earfull from Mayor Mare.So let's make her happy.What do you have at this point??"

Lonny said,"Well.I just got off the phone,with R & I.Blu Buttercup had no criminal record,except for a open container bust back in 2015,a open bottle of vodka was found in her car,when patrol pulled her over during a t-stop,she was fined and paid it,and a couple of traffic tickets,nothing else."

Big Mac then said,"And according to her bank records,she was gettin about 4000bits a month on Direct Deposit,for about over a year and a half.Which comes out to about 72.000bits,all together."

Goldtalon said,"Whew.That is a lot of money.From where??"

Lonny said,"No employer listed.It was done by a company called,Horseshoe Payroll Services.Over in Trottingham.Now here's the kicker.The money was going out of her account,as fast as it was going in."

Goldtalon asked,"You thinking she maybe was washing some drug money to make it clean."

Lonny replied,"I don't think so.Amounts too small."

Just then Goldtalons phone rang.Goltalon answered saying,"Ponyville Barracks.Goldtalon......Yeah,he's right here."He looked at Big Mac and said,"It's for you.Crime Lab."

Big Mac took the phone and said,"This is Apple......Eyup.......Ya'all sure???......What about the other two???......Eyup....OK.....Got it.Thanks."

Big Mac hung up and said,"Crime Lab got an I.D.on those griffon feathers found at the crime scene."

Goldtalon asked,"Then we have suspects??"

Big Mac replied,"Not so fast Cap.Spy Glass,ran the names through R & I.And unfortunatly,all three are dead."

Goldtalon asked,"How that happen??"

Big Mac answerd,"About six months ago,they robbed a casino in Las Pegasus,and shot it out with Neighvada Highway Patrol.They lost."

Goldtalon removed his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his beak and asked,"So.We're back to square one??"

Big Mac replied,"Eyup."

Goldtalon then took a bottle of asprin and down two of the painkillers with his now lukewarm coffee and said,"Well.There's nothing more we can do tonight.Tomorrow,you two go to Trottingham,first thing and check with this Horseshoe Payroll Services.I want o know where that money was comin in from,and where was it going.And then head to The M.E.s Office and get the autopsy results on the victim.For now.Go home boys."

Lonny and Big Mac said goodnight to Goldtalon and checked out for the day,exited The Barracks and got back in "The Jav"and went home.They got back to Sweet Apple Acres and walked in to the house and the family was there.Applejack was in the kitchen.Applebloom was in the living room doing her homework,while watching T.V.And Granny Smith napping on the couch.

Lonny said,"Family.We're home."

Applbloom said,"Hi Lonny.Hi Big brother."

Applejack came out of the kitchen and kissed her husband passionatly,after which she said,"Hey there sugacube,missed ya."

Lonny replied with his arms wrapped around :Applejacks waist,I missed you too darlin.How was your day??"

Applejack answered,"Ahh finally got the east orchard planted.We should git a healthy crop next spring."

Lonny replied,"Oh Hun.That's great news."

As Applejack and her human husband kissed again,Big Mac rolled his eyes,and said,"Why don't ya'all get a room.Ahh'm gonna changed for dinner."

Lonny replied,"Yeah,me too.Anyway Applejack,what's for dinner??it smells good."

Applejack said,"Chicken an Rice stew,with chicken,rice,cream of mushroom soup,veggies.We also got biscuts,and Apple fritters fer dessert."

Lonny said,"Sounds good to me.I'm gonna go upstairs and get ready for dinner too."

Lonny went upstairs and changed into his sweatpants and t-shirt.Soon the family sat at the table,Big Mac said grace.As the family was eating Applebloom asked,"So Lonny.Did you and Big Mac get a murder case today??"

Granny looked at the young filliy and said,"Hush up Applebloom.You know there's no discussin police work at the dinner table."

Applebloom said,"But Granny.I was jist......."

Lonny cut her off and said,"Now Grannys right Applebloom,besides,you shouldn't ask questions like that.You're still too young."

Applebloom replied,"Am not.I'm 11 years old."

Applejack then said,"That's enough Applebloom,jist eat yer dinner."

Applebloom seeing she was not gonna get the answer she wanted,so she gave up,and the family went back to eating.After dinner,the family was all in the living room.Applebloom was watching T.V.with Granny Smith.Applejack and Lonny were on the couch.With Applejack laying down,using her husband as a hoofrest,not that he minded.Lonny was reading the paper,and he was sharing it with Big Mac,who sat in his recliner near the couch.Lonny and Big Mac know,that as cops.You need to just relax and unwind.

Around 8:45 applejack looked at Applebloom and said,"Come on little sis.Bedtime."

Applebloom got up from the floor and kissed everypony and said,"Ok.Goonight sis.Goodnight Lonny.Goodnight Big Mac.Goodnight Granny."

Everypony replied and said Good night to Applebloom,and she went upstairs to her bedroom.Around 10:00 Lonny let out a big yawn.Applejack said,Ya'all tired there sugarcube??

Lonny replied,"Yeah.You about ready for bed Applejack."

Applejack said,Yeah.I'm beat myself.

Lonny looked at Big Mac and Granny and said,"Granny.Bro.We're gonna cash in our chips and call it a night."

After Applejack and Lonny said goodnight,and going upstairs to their own room,which was the master suite and bathroom.Big Mac looked at Granny and said,"Granny.Ahh don't think Lonny and Applejack are goin ta sleep,yet."

Granny replied,"You just hesh Big Macintosh.They're married.They can do that.And they can be as loud as they want."

Big Mac replied,"Thank Celestia,for my hearin portectors".

Author's Note

Chapter 3,Lonny and Big Mac begin investigating the late Blu Buttercup,and check her financials,the Crime Lab get results on the griffon feathers,and the results are not good.

After that,Lonny and Big Mac go home to have some family time.
