Lonny and Big Mac went back to Blu Buttercups apartment,which was still a crime scene.Lonny used his pocket knife,a gift from his dad when Lonny graduated from the academy,to cut the tape on the door that said,"CRIME SCENE DO NOT CROSS".Lonny and Big Mac entered the apartment,and saw tape on the floor in the shape of the position of the body on the floor.

Lonny said,"Bro,you take the bedroom.I'll look around here."

Big Mac replied."Eyup."

As the detectives looked around the apartment.Lonny found a photo of Blu Buttercup's portfolio and opened it.He saw photo's of Blu Buttercup in various fashions,as well as photo's for cosmetic companies in Equestria.Big Mac came out from the bedroom and said,"Hey brother.Ahh found somethin."

Lonny asked,"What did you find??"

Big Mac replied,"Ahh found her dayplanner.Check this out.She had a meeting with her agent tomorrow in the afternoon.around 2."

Lonny asked,"Where??"

Big Mac pulled out a business card which read,"MARES OF BEAUTY MODELING AGENCY.236 WEST ARAGON BLVD.TROTTINGHAM.(313)555 4739.ROSE PETAL.OWNER,OPERATOR."

Lonny then said,"Looks like we hit pay dirt."

Big Mac replied,"Eyup.Now where to??"

Lonny said,"Now we go to the M.E. and later we get something to eat."

Lonny and Big Mac left the apartment and got back into "The Jav"and noticed Chatterbox was looking down at them from the widow from her apartment across the street.They both paid her no never mind,and drove off to The Royal Highway 112 to Downtown Canterlot.It took about 45 minutes,since it was morning rush hour.The Detectives finally made it to the building called"GREATER CANTERLOT OFFICE OF THE MEDICAL EXAMINER-CORONER".Lonny and Big Mac got out of the car and entered the building.They walked up to a "ROYAL CANTERLOT OFFICE OF GERENAL SERVICES"Police Officer.A Unicorn with a grey coat and white mane.Officer Grey Skies,a 15 year veteran of his department.The Greater Canterlot Office of General Services Police Department are responsible for protect all city office buildings and hospitals..

Skies looked up from his post,the front desk and said,"Sergeant Williams.Detective Apple.To what do I owe the pleasure??"

Lonny said,"Mornin Grey.We're here to see Van."

Skies asked,"About the model they was brought in yesterday??"

Big Mac replied,"Eyup.Ya'll know if Van"s all done??"

Skies said,"He should be.Sign in and head to Exam-Room#6"

Both detectives signed the Visitor's Log and were given Visitor's Passes and walked down the hallway and reached Exam-Room#6.Just before they were going to enter.Big Mac looked at his partner/brother in law and asked,"Ya'all brought it??Right??"

Lonny reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a pocket size jar of Menthol Rub.And said,"I always do."

Lonny opened the jar and put some of the ointment under his nostrols,below his upper lip.Big Mac put some on his snout,underneath his nostrols,to mask the smells of death and decay.and both entered the exam room and found Van,with the body of Blu Buttercup lying on his table.

Van looked up and said,"Morning boys."

Lonny said,"Morning Van.You completed the autopsy on the victim??"

Van replied,"I just finished up.And I was right on the cause of death.Manual strangulation,you weapon was an extention cord.And whoever killed her had to be about 6 feet tall or better."

Big Mac asked,"And how did ya'all know that Van??"

Van motioned for the detectives to come closer,when they did,He turned the body over and said,"Look at the back of the neck.You see the crisscrossing of the cord,almost in the shape of an X."

Lonny said,"Yeah."

Van said,"It took alot of upper body strength to hoist the victim,and the cord was wrapped so tight around her neck.It broke her lyrnax.She died within minutes."

Lonny asked,"Any signs of sexual assault??"

Van replied,"Not recent,but I found some tearing in her rectum,that had healed some time ago."

Big Mac asked,"How long??"

Van answered,"About a year.Maybe longer."

Lonny asked,"Was it sexual??"

Van shrugged and replied,"Maybe,but I wouldn't swear to it on a stack of friendship bibles,but what I also found was very interesting."

Lonny asked,"Uhhh.You care to share with the rest of the class Van."

Van lifted the victims left arm and said,"You guys see this black mark underneath near her armpit??"

Big Mac asked,"Some kinda birthmark??"

Van answered,"That's what I thought,at first,but I took a closer look,and discovered it was actually a scortch mark.She was burned."

Lonny asked,"By what??"

Van replied,"That I don't know.Hey I can't do all you're work for you,but I scraped off a sample for you."

Van handed a plastic bag with a sample of Blu Buttercups scortched fur,and handed it to Lonny.Along with a copy of his autopsy report.

Lonny said,"OK.We'll take this to Spy Glass at The Crime Lab,and see what he finds.Thanks Van"

Van replied,"Anytime boys."

Lonny and Big Mac left the coroners office,wiped the ointment from the faces,and got back in the car and drove to Doughnut Joes,who also had a pretty good breakfest menu.Lonny and Big Mac each had a ham and cheese croiscent coffee and doughnut.After breakfeast,the detectives went to "ROYAL CANTERLOT POLICE HEADQUARTERS"and dropped the sample with Spy Glass at the crime lab.Spy told them,he would call if he had anything.

Lonny and Big Mac then drove into Trottingham and stopped at "Horseshoe Payroll Services"and found the manager.A Pegasi with a green coat and a blonde mane,with a cutie mark of

Lonny asked,"Excuse me.Are you the manager??"

The Manager said,"Yes.My name is Cash Count.What can I do for you??"

Lonny and Big Mac flashed their badges and Lonny said,"Police.I'm Sergeant Williams,this is my partner,Detective Apple.We'd like to ask you some questions."

Lonny and Big Mac sat in front of Cash Count's desk and told him about the murder of Blu Buttersup,and asked him about Blu Buttercups payroll checks.Cash Count looked on his computer and found out that indeed Blu Buttercup was recieving alot of money.

Count said,"I really don't get it.All of Ms.Buttercups payroll checks are all submitted by "Mares of Beauty".but these other checks,and for these amounts."He then got on the phone and said,"Madge.Bring me the file for depositer number,8742-95."

Madge was a middleaged human female about 50,she came in and handed Cash Count the card.He then said,"Ahhhh.Here we are.The company is called,"Boops For Stuff"Umm,it says here,they're a cosmetic and skin and fur care company.Located out side of Ponyville."

Lonny asked,"Can we have a copy of the file??"

Count said,"Sure.I can do that.If it will help with your investigation"

After they recieved a copy of the file.Lonny and Big Mac got back into "The Jav"and drove to their next stop."Mares of Beauty"Modeling Agency.

Chapter 5.Our Detectives go to The M.E.and find out how Blu Buttercup was killed.And they learn a few other things,and who was paying her all that money.

"Boops for Stuff"is a commune turned cosmetic company that Rarity helped in an issue of MLP Comics,"How Rarity got her groove back"How is "Boops for Stuff"involved.That will come up in later chapters.
