Lonny and Big Mac arrived at "Mares of Beauty"and walked in the door and found a young mare about 23 working at the front desk.She had eggshell white fur,her cutie mark was a pink pad and pen.The front office was adorned with portraits of young models,pony,human,and griffon.

Lonny and Big Mac once again showed their badges and Big Mac said,"Excuse us ma'am.Police.Ah'm Detective Apple,this here's mah partner Sergeant Williams.We'd like to speak with Miss Petal,if that's allright??"

The receptionist named Pinkwriter replied,"Oh yes.Please have a seat."And she got on her phone.

The door to the office opened and a Human/Pony hybrid,called A Saytr female,top half human,the bottom half eqiune,came out.She said,"Hello.My name is Rose Petal.How can I help you Detectives??"

Lonny said,"Pleased to meet you Ms.Petal.I'm Sergeant Williams.This is Detective Apple.Can we talk in private."

Rose Petal replied,"Of course.Please step into my office.Pinkwriter.Please hold my calls."

As Lonny and Big Mac went into Rose Petals office and sat across from her desk.Lonny informed her about Blu Buttercups death.Rose Petal look shocked.

Petal said,"I honestly can't believe Blu is dead.Can you tell me how did it happen??"

Lonny said."I afraid that Ms.Buttrcup was the victim of a homicide."

Petal said,"Who could have done such a thing??Blu was one of my top models.Everypony loved her.Please Sergeant.Do you know who did this??"

Lonny replied,"No ma'am.Not yet.Anyway.Our investigation revealed that Ms.Buttercup was receiving about 4000bits a month for about a year and a half,from an company called "Boops for Stuff".Do you know anything about them??"

Petal replied,"We had a contract with them about 2 years ago.In fact I sent Blu down there to model some of their products for them.It was a one time thing."

Big Mac said,"Well she was receiving money from this company.Any way she was doing something for them.On her own??"

Petal replied,"Not as far as I know.I was getting ready to send her to Manehattan for a photo shoot."

Lonny gave her a business card and said,"I see.Well thank you Ms.Petal.If you think of anything else.Please give us a call."

Petal replied,"I will.Thank you for telling me about Blu."

Lonny and Big Mac left Rose Petals office.Rose Petal picked up her phone and made a call.As soon as the person on the other end answered Petal said,"It's me.We have a problem........2 cops were just here.....What do you think??....They were here about Blu Buttercup.......What fuck do you mean relax???......You said that this was taken care of.............You'd better.Because I might be inclined to talk.......Thats right.You heard me........OK....I want 750.000bits.To leave town...........Right...I'll be there.Just bring the money.,,,,,,You got 2 days."

As Lonny and Big Mac were driving back to Ponyville,Big Mac said,"Brother.I just had a thought."

Lonny replied,"OK.Let's hear it."

Big Mac said,"Ahh think we need ta go see Rarity."

Lonny chuckled and asked,"Why??You need to improve your wardrobe or something??"

Bic Mac chuckled back and said,"Oh fuck you.Anyway all kiddin aside.Ahh think Rarity should go with us to "Boops for Stuff".She knows the ponies there.And she might be helpful."

Lonny replied,"Yeah.I've been thinking that myself,and the place is run by hippies.And if hippies here are anything like hippies on Earth.Then they may not want to cooperate with police."

Big Mac asked,"How do ya'all know about hippies on Earth??"

Lonny replied,"My dad was from Earth.He and my aunts came here when they were still teenagers,after my grandparents died.He told me alot of stories about Earth,when I was a kid."

Big Mac replied,"That's why ya'all and I make a good team.We think alike."

Lonny said,"That's true,so anything else on the big brain of yours."

Big Mac replied,"Eyup.Ahh think,that Rose Petal knows more than she"s a tellin us."

Lonny said,"Yeah.I get that vibe too,We'll run her through R & I.So what pops up."

Big Mac said,"Eyup,now that's a good idea."

Lonny and Big Mac made it back into Ponyville,and stopped at "Carousel Boutique"the clothing and alteration shop owned by Rarity Belle,"The Element of Generosity."As Lonny and Big Mac entered the shop,the bell on top of the doorway rang a small ring.The voice in the kitchen said,"Coming.Just a moment please."

Then out of the kitchen came out Rarity,The white unicorn fashionista saw the detectives and said,Oh hello Lonny and Hello Big Macintosh.How are you darlings??"

Lonny gave Rarity a hug and replied,"We're good Rarity.How is the fashion business??"

Rarity said,"Oh.You know.Busy as ever,what with "The Grand Galloping Gala"a few months away.I have so many orders for gowns and tuxedos,Oh are you going this year Lonny darling??I'm sure Applejack would love to go"

Lonny replied," Big Mac is staying home,but yeah Applejack and I just got our tickets.Oh and Big Mac and I need a favor Rarity??"

Rarity said,"Of course Lonny darling.Anything to help my friends on the police department.What's the favor??"

Lonny asked,"Do you remember an outfit called "Boops for Stuff??You helped them out a few years back."

Rarity replied,"Oh yes.I remember them.They tried to pass themselves off as a wellness center.They were only doing it to earn enough to pay their mortage.And keep Filthy Rich from buying it so he could build another Barnyard Bargins on the property,but I helped them market their line of cosmetics and skin and fur care products.The last time I heard they were doing very well.Why do you ask??"

Big Mac said,"The name came up in a homicide we're investigating."

Rarity asked,"Do you mean,the mare that was murdered 2 nights ago??"

Lonny asked,"How did you know that??"

Rarity replied,"Lonny darling.This is Ponyville.Here,good news travels fast,and so does bad news.So how can I help??"

Big Mac said,"Well we need ta go and talk to them tomorrow,but Lonny and I don't think,they'd wouldn't be too receptive of a couple of cops coming to see them."

Lonny then added,"And since you already know the ponies who run the place,we were hoping you would come with us to help the ponies there understand,that we're not there to hassle anypony,but we do need to ask some questions."

Rarity then said,"Say no more darlings.Of course I'll go with you.When do we leave??"

Lonny replied,"Tomorrow morning around 10,that's if our captain OKs it"

Rarity said,"Then I shall wait for your call,now if you excuse me.I do have more work to do."

Lonny said,"Then we'll take our leave Rarity.I'll call you later."

Big Mac alsos aid,"Thanks alot Rarity.Ya'all take care and don't work to hard."

Rarity replied,"I'll try not to.And Lonny,you and Applejack must come by and get yourselves fitted for you Gala attire."

Lonny chuckled and said,"I'll let her know.See ya Rarity.

Rarity said,"Ta ta."

Lonny and Big Mac get back into "The Jav"and head back to Ponyville Barracks.

Author's Note

Chapter 6.Lonny and Big Mac go find out some who was paying the victim all that money,and meet her employer,but our hero's know she's hiding something.

Now.I chose to make Rose Petal a Satyr,when you think about it,some children of human and pony parings come into the world as either full human,pony,or mixed spieces.Depeneding on which parents genes are the most dominate.And I thought I'd stir the pot a little and think outside the box.I was actually inspired by some art work of Satyr's in the MLP universe from some stuff i saw at DeviantArt.

And the detectives enlist the help of everyponys favorite fashonista.Rarity.
