The backstory of a half-blood part. 2

Dear Thorax.

With a heavy heart I regretfully have to inform you that Twilight is at the hospital and is extremely weak along with y'all's child. If you'd like to see her please come to the hospital, but before seeing Twilight please see us first, because we have things to discuss which can't be simply explained by letter.

The changeling king rolled up the letter after reading it and murmured something under his breath. Was that another joke Pinkie Pie had sent him? Did she seriously think that how nice and naive he was? On the other hoof, however, was the first letter he received from someone other than Pinkie, so why not go this time?

He called several of his subjects to inform them and his brother of his absence. He didn't have to wait long. Pharynx and several drones stood in a row in front of the changeling king.

"What is it, Thorax?" Pharynx asked with a smile. "Another diplomacy meeting?"

Thorax using his magic levitated the letter in front of his older brother's eyes.

"It looks like Pinkie persuaded Applejack to send stupid jokes" the green changeling scoffed. "I think I should go there and reason with them"

The purple eyed changeling giggled and unfolded the letter, starting to read it.

"Wait" Pharynx raised his eyebrow, as he moved the letter once close and far away with lidded eyes. "What kind of alien language is that?"

The changeling king rolled his eyes and turned the letter.

"You were reading it backwards dummy"

The purple eyed changeling growled with understanding in his voice and began to read. Pharynx sometimes had a problem understanding, so he scanned the letter with his eyes. Then he rolled up the letter and glanced at Thorax with unsure expression.

"I advise you to visit Applejack and her friends" Pharynx said. "If it is about Princess Twilight Sparkle, then it must be something about her"

Thorax sighed, as he looked at all his drones who gazed at him with happiness in their eyes.

"Fine" he murmured with bored tone. "I will visit Twilight and her friends in the hospital"

Pharynx along with the drones jumped in the same motion like Pinkie Pie on the sugar rush resulting in vibrations. Most of the inhabitants of the Changeling Kingdom were surprised because no one promised an earthquake in that kind of terrains. Thorax also jumped while sitting on his throne. Not because he joined his brother's dance, but simply because gravity lifted him up.

"Please, can you all stop jumping?" Thorax suggested.

Pharynx and other changelings obeyed, stopping jumping after his first order taking long and deep breaths.

"I knew I could count on you, little brother" the purple eyed changeling said with a tired and happy tone. "Now go, someone needs to take care of our kingdom"

The changeling king leaped off his throne to the stone floor and glanced at his brother one more time.

"Remember, this place must be the same when I will return"

"Okay bro" Pharynx saluted, as he sat on Thorax's throne. "This place will shine when you come back"

Thorax lifted his wings to raise in the air.

"I have your word" he said, before starting to fly.

For a moment subjects could see their king as he appears in the sky and then disappear in the clouds.

The rest of mane 6 group sat on the chairs next to Twilight's hospital room. Some of them just stared ahead at the wall of the corridor, some of them were glancing at each other and some of them were whispering. Fluttershy broke the silence and looked at the orange earth pony next to her.

"A-are you sure it was good idea to inform Thorax about Twilight?" the yellow pegasus asked. "I'm not sure Thorax likes children"

Applejack shrugged.

"Dunno, we will talk after his arrival" the orange earth pony whispered to Fluttershy. "Do you have a better idea?"

The yellow pegasus shook her head.

"N-no" she looked back. "I don't have better idea"

Between other ponies, Pinkie was still shocked by the information she'd heard from the doctor about Twilight's state of health. The pink earth pony stared at the floor after hearing the unbelievable thing her friend had done to her own child. Her cheerful smile disappeared, not sure if she should trust Twilight.

The door to the corridor opened slowly, revealing tall green figure in them with weird antlers. The only thing the ponies could see in his body was glowing purple eyes. The creature slowly approached revealing green exoskeleton and insect wings.

Thorax met with female ponies' cold glares as he slowly came closer to them. Poor changeling didn't even know why his friends looked at him like that. So he decided to smile.

"H-hi girls" the changeling king waved his hoof in front of their eyes. "You wanted to talk with me?"

The orange earth pony rolled her eyes, as she got up from her place.

"I don't know" Applejack murmured to herself. "We should ask the same thing"

Thorax raised his eyebrow, as he looked at other females.

"You should be ashamed of yourself, foalmaker" the white unicorn added.

"F-foalmaker?" the changeling asked, feeling offended by this. "Is this supposed to be a joke?"

"The joke is your life and the perversion you made for our friend" Rainbow Dash said, as she jabbed the changeling's chest with her hoof.

"Twilight?" Thorax's eyes widened. "What about her?"

The mane 6 group mares exchanged glances between each other. After a while they began to whisper. The changeling king understood that they were holding council. After a few minutes, the group looked at the green changeling with serious expressions.

"T-Twilight…" Fluttershy took a heavy breath before continuing. "Twilight…"

Rarity gently nudged her friend sideways so that she could speak.

"T-Twilight gave a birth to your child" the yellow pegasus shouted before calming herself. "I... I-I'm sorry for saying this"

There was silence in the room and other patients looked at Fluttershy.
