Teaching a Sister the Birds and the Bees
Confrontation(?)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe gentle warmth of the sun peeking in through the blinds finally awoke the unicorn. Taking a moment to sit up, Sweetie Belle cleared the dirt from her eyes and yawned, internally debating on whether she should get up or just lie back down.
The smell of baked eggs wafting in from under the door combined with the sudden growling of her stomach decided it for her, even if she had been more than filled with the feast yesterday. Stretching her body out, she slowly got out of bed.
Might have overdone it a bit too much yesterday, she thought, looking at the bin filled with freshly used tissues, "but oh Twilight if I didn't need it."
After making sure that she was cleaned up, as well as inspecting the bed for any remaining stains, she halted before she opened the bedroom door.
So what now? Just pretend nothing happened and act normal, or try to bring the box up myself? No, no, wait to meet up with Bloom and Scoots first, then we'll decide together. Though... if I can at least fish out that one thing Rarity mentioned yesterday...
Her mind made up, she confidently opened the door and headed downstairs.
Oh, Sweetie's awake. Good timing, too, nearly done with breakfast, Rarity thought to herself when she heard the telltale creak of a door upstairs. She was humming one of the upcoming songs she's going to sing with her quartet in a few days, while making one of her and her sister's favorites, poached eggs with a spring of parsley.
"Morning, sleepyhead." She said when Sweetie finally came down.
"Morning," Sweetie replied, before her eyebrows shot when she took a look at the wall clock. "Eleven o'clock already? Wait, how late did we get home yesterday?"
"This morning, you mean, I think we got home just after midnight. Here, you came just in time." She took the pan off the stove and put it on the table which was already prepared for two, before turning the fire off.
"Oh, you haven't eaten either yet, Sis? Don't tell me you waited for me." Sweetie asked, taking a seat, when she noticed the second set of plates.
Rarity shook her head while taking a seat herself. "No, no, darling. I too had, ah... had a good rest, let's say. You weren't the only one exhausted last night, after all"
"Ah, like that. Yeah, fair enough." Sweetie replied, before diving in. Rarity followed suit, and they ate in a comfortable silence. They had more than caught up yesterday, so both were content to just enjoy the other's company for now.
After a short while though, Rarity did notice that Sweetie started to squirm somewhat, as if meaning to say something, though she never looked directly at Rarity.
Waiting a bit longer, she decided to break the silence herself. "Is everything quite alright, darling?"
Sweetie seemed to be caught by surprise, eyes quickly darting to her sister. "Ah, no. Or, well..."
Shaking her head, Sweetie seemed to take a moment to compose herself, before speaking up again.
"It's just... yesterday morning, when you guys picked us up, you mentioned that there was, uh... something? With the clubhouse, I mean, before Applejack cut you off and we had to leave for the feast. We never did get a chance to visit it yesterday, even when we were already at the Acres, right?"
Ah, right, almost had forgotten about that.
"Quite so, I'm afraid. But it'd be better if I just showed you girls directly, though it's ultimately nothing that serious, I suppose. I had been meaning to propose arranging a meeting there, actually, so I'm glad you brought it up already."
Sweetie didn't seem to be as content with the answer as Rarity had been expecting, which somewhat confused the elder unicorn.
"Did you girls already have plans made today, perchance?" She asked, cocking her head. "If not, we can go there later today. I do have a meeting planned at two o'clock, but I'm free after that."
"No, no, we... didn't, no. Eh... four o'clock then? To meet at the clubhouse?" Sweetie responded, hesitantly taking a sip from her morning brew, before more hastily eating her breakfast.
Rarity frowned, not quite liking how nervous Sweetie was suddenly acting. Still, if she doesn't want to talk about it, Rarity won't try to pull it out of her. She nodded.
"That sounds fine, darling. Four o'clock it is."
Sweetie continued to wolf down what was left, before suddenly jumping out of her seat. "Alright, see you then. I'm going to inform the others."
Before Rarity could stop her, her sister had already washed up and ran for the door, leaving in a flash. She shook her head, wondering just what was going on with that mare, as she didn't even take the time to unpack her luggage first. Having finished herself, she stood up, started to clear the table and went to wash the dishes.
Two more hours until the client arrives, better get ready myself. I can ask Sweetie about it later.
"I'm honestly in awe that you messed this up this badly," Scootaloo finally said, breaking the silence.
They were standing in the clubhouse, forming a circle around a large purple box they had pulled out of the closet. Sweetie Belle had hastily gathered them here, without explaining why, before solemnly opening the closet door and bringing the box out, letting the realization sink in for the other two.
Appleboom looked at Sweetie, though the mare avoided her gaze. "So you think we got busted?"
Sweetie Belle almost wanted to die of embarrassment. "I don't know. I tried to ask Rarity about it in a roundabout way, but she didn't want to say. Also, eh, she's coming here in three hours, said she wanted to show us something directly."
"So we're super busted then, yeah?" Scootaloo said, before she shrugged her shoulders. "Oh well, that's that then. I'm surprised we managed to hide it for so long though, actually."
"Scootaloo!" Sweetie hastily said, a fierce blush on her face. "Maybe... maybe she didn't find it, and she's here for something entirely different. That's still possible, isn't it? Right, Applebloom?"
She turned towards the strong mare, hoping to find some kind of comfort, only to find a shaking head. "Nah, don't think so. I mean, look around, the place is spick and span clean, even inside the closet itself. You really think she didn't check if the inside of the fun box needed cleaning either? What else could she want to talk to us about?"
Sweetie didn't know what to say to that, so she just looked at the box again, the others following suit.
After a while, she spoke up again. "So... what, then? Do we have a plan?"
Applebloom shrugged. "Tell her the truth, I reckon. We're all adults now, we shouldn't be ashamed of it."
Scootaloo chuckled. "Yeah, but not in detail, right? And I guess we should leave out how early we started as well, don't think she'd appreciate that either. What do you think, Sweetie?"
The unicorn huffed. "What I think, Scootaloo, is that I don't want to admit how we had a lot of sex here to my own sister, let alone bring in the box full of BSDM toys!"
"Ah, don't be like that, Sweetie." Scootaloo responded without missing a beat, somehow still not seeming to take this seriously, much to Sweetie's chagrin, "If anything, I'm sure she would have plenty of experience with that herself. Hard dom, bet you ten bits, just like you."
"Dom? Huh, I imagined she'd be a sub like Scoots, just me?" Applebloom chimed in, though she stopped herself when she noticed Sweetie becoming even more distressed.
"Ah, sorry there, Sweets. Whatever happens when Rarity arrives, we'll get through it together, right? Crusaders leave no mare behind, remember?"
The unicorn sighed. "I... yeah, you're right. Come what may, if you guys are there... Alright, I'll be ready for it."
"Heh, that's the Sweetie I remember." Scoots said, a grin on her face. "Bit of time left before she arrives. What do you two say, bit of fun before Rarity arrives? Been a while since the box saw some u-"
The icy look Sweetie gave her, combined with Applebloom's unimpressed one stopped her in her tracks.
"Ooooor... let's just walk about Ponyville for a bit, didn't have much time for it yesterday? Take our minds off of the whole thing for now?"
"I can't believe you really were going to suggest that, Scootaloo." Sweetie said, though she still nodded and made ready to leave. "Let's, yes."
What a bother. That must have been one of the most unpleasant clients I've ever received. Rarity thought to herself, working her way towards Sweet Apple Acres. She was already late by half an hour, and didn't want to hold the girls up any longer.
Before she could enter the Acres proper though, she heard Applejack calling out to her to her side, over the fence. Turning her head, she saw the orange mare was busy bucking some apples down, the lavish feast of yesterday seemingly a distant memory.
Walking over, she greeted her with a nod. "Good afternoon, dear. Already busy at work with the farm, I see. As I seem to recall, didn't you get quite a bit tipsy last night?"
Applejack shook her head, not pausing her work. "Nah, 's fine. I wouldn't be an Apple if that stopped me, you know... though the headache is getting a bit annoying, I guess."
Rarity rolled her eyes, though she couldn't suppress a smile. "Of course dear. Are the Crusaders still in the clubhouse? I've arranged a meeting with them, though I'm sadly running a bit late already."
The orange mare was silent for a bit, before she suddenly grinned. "Oh, right. You're going to have the 'talk' then? Shame I couldn't be there myself, but Granny would kill me if I didn't finish before dinner. But they're still in, yeah, they arrived about an hour ago, I think."
The unicorn sighed. "Yes, the... 'talk', as you seem wont to emphasize it. I still don't see why you're making such a fuss about it."
Applejack shrugged her shoulders. "Either way, you best get going then. And don't forget that I want to hear all the details afterwards."
Rarity shook her head again, said her goodbyes, and walked on. A short while later, the clubhouse finally came into sight.
Making her way up the front steps, she knocked on the door and waited to be let in, as any proper lady would do.
As she waited, she heard a trio of voices coming closer from the other side, seemingly engaged in a heated discussion, though she couldn't quite make out what they were saying. The door was finally opened, and she saw the crusaders standing on the other side, greeting her and welcoming her inside.
"Thanks again for all the work you've put in, Rarity." Scootaloo said as Rarity got in. "Like, we really can't believe just how clean this place is, especially if you did it alone."
She gave a short nod. "Oh, it was nothing really, don't mention it."
As the mares got further inside, Rarity noticed a strange... presence, in the air, as it were, though she couldn't put her hoof on it. Turning around, she noticed that her sister was somewhat sweating, while the other two seemed tense as well.
"Now, I take it Sweetie has already told you why I called you all here?"
Applebloom rubbed the back of her neck. "She, uh... she did. That you wanted to show us something or the other?"
"Quite so, yes. It's something I really felt I should point out, so you all understand it better. Come along then." Rarity said, and turned back around to continue her way. Walking upstairs with the Crusaders in tow, she didn't hesitate to open the closet door and levitate the large purple box out, putting it on the floor before them.
Oh, no looks of surprise? I suppose they must have already been anticipating this. Good, that should make it a lot simpler. Rarity thought, nodding to herself.
"I take it you know what this box is?" she said, putting up a firm voice. Not that she really needed to, but she thought it best to make clear how serious she was.
Applebloom spoke up, the other two clearly disinterested in answering. "We're sorry, Rarity. It's just... we're ponies too, with our own needs. And if three such ponies happen to spend a lot of time together in such a remote place, well... stuff happens, right?"
Scootaloo nodded, and Sweetie did too, albeit after a delay. Rarity simply frowned in response. "Applebloom, dear, I'm not talking about what's in the box, I'm talking about the box itself. I couldn't care less what it is you three do in your free time."
"Wait, you're not... mad?" Sweetie asked, somewhat in disbelief.
"Oh no, I am quite irritated, dear. Have you not noticed how much cleaner the box is now? It was so filthy before, I honestly couldn't believe you three would use it to store these things in it. Or have you never learned that you thoroughly need to clean these things before you use them? Who knows what kinds of dirty stuff is on them if you don't take care?"
The crusaders seemed too stunned to reply, so Rarity continued. "I mean, even I knew how to do so when I was but a little filly, so there's no excuse for such... bah, let's just call it negligence. I can't believe that Applejack never brought it up to you three either, even if she knew about it a lot longer then me, so I do hope you three will take better care of it in the future. That was all."
For some reason that Rarity didn't quite get, all of the Crusaders seemed to be more taken aback by this than she anticipated.
"Is... something the matter, girls?" She asked, starting to get concerned if she said something wrong. This should be a given, so why are they acting like this?
Neither Scootaloo or Applebloom seemed to hear her, so Sweetie gulped her nervousness in and tried to answer. "No, it's... eh, unexpected, I... guess?" She tried to block out the mention of Rarity having done this since she was a filly, and the mental image that came with it.
"More like, we were, eh, expecting a scolding... which we got, I guess, but not for the reason we thought... I'm sorry, sis, this is a lot to take in, can we have a short moment?"
Rarity didn't know how to respond to that, so she just gave a short nod, eyes frowned.
At once, the crusaders hustled together, and Rarity could hear fragments of softly spoken sentences here and there.
"...was just the box? But what..."
"...Twilight, how long did sis know..."
"...got worried for nothing..."
"...a filly! She's even more..."
After a short while of this, the circle broke again, and the girls seemed to have found their composure. Scootaloo stepped forward.
"So, yeah, thanks for bringing it up. We'll, uh, take better care of it, pinkie promise, because you're totally right about... all that. The next time we'll have, uh" She gave a short look towards her fellow comrades, who nodded. "Well, sex, we'll keep it in mind. So thanks for bringing it up, Rarity. And, also, not making such a big deal about it in the first place, we guess."
Rarity nodded, a smile on her lips. "I'm glad that you do. Ancients, has it been so long already, if that's what the youngsters call it these days? We just called it 'escape the dungeon' back then, but I guess that the times do advance without rest."
Applebloom was quick to respond. "Wait, what do you mean, 'escape the..."
She stopped herself, the realization sinking in time together with the others. They all looked in disbelief between them, confusing Rarity again.
"Uh, Rarity, if I may... could you, eh, tell us how you did it back in your day?" Applebloom asked, bewilderment still clear on her face.
"Oh, well, I assumed it was still played the same nowadays. You darken a room as if it's a dungeon, be tied up and prepare all sorts of tools nearby, and try to escape as fast as possible, right? It's pretty fun to see how each person does so in their own way, especially if you had ponies of the different races, though I didn't enjoy doing it myself that much. Why, is that not how it's done anymore?" Rarity said matter-of-factly.
The crusaders were silent for a while, before sharing looks between each other, having arrived at the same conclusion. As insane as it was, Sweetie Belle mentally added.
Applebloom couldn't help but be blunt about it. "Rarity, that's not... what sex is. Did you not follow the sex ed lessons back in school?"
Rarity cocked her head, pondering for a bit. "Ah, you may be right. There was a period way back when, when I did miss a few weeks of school after getting some kind of infectious disease, I think? But most of the stuff covered in class then wasn't necessary for any tests, so I, ah, kind of didn't pay much attention to it back then, I admit. 'Sex Ed' does sound familiar though, so that might have been it, yes. Was that important, then?"
Sweetie Belle was at a loss for words, as was Applebloom, so Scootaloo stepped forwards, saying what they were all thinking.
"Rarity... do you honestly not know what sex is?"
The elder unicorn huffed. "Well, apparently not. And you all seem to be dancing around it as well, which I don't quite appreciate, if I'm being honest."
Sweetie chimed in, though I really don't want to, "Do you know where foals come from, then? That's... what's sex is for. At least tell me you know that much."
Please, at least that much.
Rarity frowned at that. "When two ponies who love each other spend the night together, and they find that that love has created a foal when they awake? But isn't that just between a mare and a stallion? And what does that box with items you apparently don't use for 'escape the dungeon' have to do with it then?"
Scootaloo managed to let out a chuckle at that, despite how uncomfortable the atmosphere has become. "Well, that's somewhat right, I guess. But no, it can be done between mares and between stallions as well, just without the whole, eh, 'foal born of love' thing. Which would be pretty strange if it did, I guess. It also feels like, really good, which is why most creatures do it to begin with. Like, imagine the best-class treatment at the Spa, and multiply the enjoyment you get from that by like five, ten, that's how good it can feel."
Rarity put a hoof under her chin. "I see, curious. Well, I admit that, yes, I seem to have no knowledge whatsoever about what this 'sex' entails, then, so... would you mind showing me how it works in practice? You seem to be very experienced in the subject, after all. And if it feels that good, then I don't mind experiencing it for myself, if at least once."
...
Wait what
