Chapter 10 - Battle Lines Drawn!

The kaiju stirred in its sleep with a pleased sigh, still at Luna's side. It squinted as morning light filtered in through the curtains. It cast its gaze downward as Luna awoke with a slight moan. All was well in this crazed world that is until Destroyah was lifted up and slammed into the wall. It came face-to-face with a furious sun goddess.

"Don't you lay another claw on my sister you monster!"

Luna bolted upright in bed. "Sister!"

"Don't move Luna! This creature killed a whole colony of Diamond Dogs. As foul as they are, they never committed murder!"

Destroyah expression of surprise withered to nothing, replaced by a devilish grin. It was time for this facade to end!

"Yes we killed them! We slaughtered the Griffon and the unicorn brothers too! They all fell at our hands and you know what? We would do it again! In fact, we WILL do it again! You mortals don't seem to get it! You still think that we are but a mere pony. We are more than that, much more than that! We are kaiju!"

"Kaiju or not, you will not be allowed to continue like this!"

"Ah, but that is were you are wrong! I have kept my true kaiju form concealed for you see, kaiju or not just mere monsters as we have said before, WE ARE GODS!!!"

Destroyah's massive draconic wings spread, blotting out the vey sun entering the room and plunging it into darkness. Destroyah rose to the roof as if the devil himself, latching its tail around Celestia's neck and tossing her into Luna with next-to-no effort.

"You fools call yourself rulers, the kaiju are the true rulers! Ahahahahaha!!!"

Destroyah ended its demonic laugh and crashed through Luna's beautiful winds, shattering the priceless glass and littering the floor with its remains. The guards were now aware to the kaiju's exiting but were still not informed of the severity of the situation. If Destroyah was left to its own devises, nothing would stand in its way! All life would perish!

Celestia pushed herself off of Luna and headed for the shattered window to see where the demon was heading, gritting her teeth and flaring her wings as she went.

"Damn it Luna! How could you let that monster, kaiju, whatever you want to call him, go?!"

"how?"

"What?! What do you mean?"

"How did you find out?"

"The element of generosity came to me late last night. It will have to be executed for three accounts of murder and one account of genocide. I am very disappointed in you Luna for not coming to me with this!"

"We did not know of the murders. But had this happened a millennium ago, thou would not have thought twice about eradicating the flea-bitten mutts!"

"But it is NOT a thousand years ago Luna! It will be executed. My word is law!"

"But thou cannot hurt it PRINCESS Celestia."

Celestia recoiled a bit at the amount of spite put into her title.

"Why not Luna?"

"We have feelings for the kaiju!"

"WHAT!? Of all creatures, you fall in love with that, that thing!?"

"Yes! We will not have it harmed! This is something both Nightmare and I agree on!"

Celestia paled a bit, she would not risk another war with Nightmare over a single creature, knowing that if Luna cooperated with her counterpart fully, there would be no stopping them!

"Fine, I will not kill it... but the creature must be hunted down and contained. It will be punished as Discord is until it has payed for its crimes!"

Luna nodded in agreement, knowing she probably couldn't bargain further. Both alicorn sisters stretched their wings and took off after the rouge demon. The sun warmed their backs as they pressed on, hoping they could catch the kaiju before it could cause any more harm, intentionally or not! As the princesses bolted over the Everfree, a head rose from the underbrush. Destroyah rose from the bushes and flew in the opposite direction, releasing a cackling laugh in triumph. It flew straight and true toward the sea. It wasn't disappointed to find a sea-side development area attached to a city dubbed 'Manehatten', a place very similar to its previous battle grounds in Tokyo Bay. Destroyah grinned and licked its deadly jaws.

"It time to REALLY get to work!"

A small orientation of its head also gave it another sight. In the distance, not far from the city, was a large building, an establishment the kaiju couldn't miss. It was a power plant!

"You fools even have a power plant, this is just too easy!"

It descended and spotted a banner on the building. "Equestria's FIFTH Power Plant, sponsored by Filthy Rich, you're spoiling me!"

If the kaiju tried to grin any wider, its face would have split in half. It was filled with pure joy, a sensation that would mean death and despair for all. It descended with great haste, splitting the cement below its clawed feet, and entered the plant. Now all it had to do was find the reactor and all of Equestria would fall into glorious chaos!

Diamond Tiara didn't want to admit it but she was lost. Silver Spoon trailing behind her. Soon the fillies came to a fork.

"Argh! Where is daddy!?"

"Perhaps we should like... split up?"

"Fine... You go that way Silver. I will go this way."

The fillies agreed on the course of action and did their traditional hoof-to-hoof, flank-to-flank dance. Once complete, they split up, Diamond Tiara taking the right path and Silver Spoon taking the right. After several minutes of searching, she simply couldn't find anypnoy. She sighed in defeat but her ears started to swivel. They picked up a strange clicking noise. It sounded like the Licker in Resident Pony 5. Diamond Tiara turned around and jumped, seeing Destroyah and its claws on the tiled floor.

"Oh eeew its you! What do you want blank-flank?"

Destroyah snickered at her lack of fear for it was clear that murder was present in its eyes. "Blank-flank eh? Why would we need such a ridiculous mark on our side when I can have the power to control all?!"

The demon's head lashed forward and crunched down on the pony's silver tiara spiced with diamonds, tearing it clean off her head and ripping it to shreds.

"Eek! Hey! That was a gift from daddy! You cant do that! My daddy is rich and he can make life hell for you! Silver Spoon!"

"So the filly wants to talk of hell, hmm?! You know nothing of the meaning of that word! This is what it truly means to be in HELL!"

Destroyah reared back and prepared to crush the young pony but she jumped back, avoided the cement-bursting blow. Diamond Tiara darted back, trying to avoid the kaiju but it was too quick. Raising itself from the crater it created, the beast loosed its micro-oxygen spray onto the poor filly, liquefying her rear right leg and sending her toppling to the ground in pain. Th kaiju killer then calmly approached her crippled form, knowing there was nothing she could do to escape. As it approached, it spit a strange object from its mouth which cracked in two when landing on the floor before Diamond Tiara. She recognized the cracked object. "Silver Spoon's glasses!" She looked up in sheer horror at the demon towering before her.

"See, now THIS IS HELL!" Destroyah lashed out at her, sinking its teeth deep into her stomach and tearing through her soft flesh. Her stomach quickly gave in and her internal organs came spewing out of her body with a burst of warm blood. The kaiju backed away and licked the blood from its face as it starred down on her, pleased to see her screaming form. Her pain was its joy! She screamed out in utter agony but was cut off as the kaiju latched it's jaws around her neck and sank in deep, closing her wind pipe but making sure not to tear it in two; it wanted her to know what hell was truly like! With her neck torn, her right rear leg liquefied and her innards laying before her, the pony was all but in good shape. Death began to creep up on the young filly but Destroyah wasn't going to let it end that quickly, their must be pain, excruciating pain! She was already in enough but the kaiju believing more was in order! Sinking its teeth deep into her veins, the kaiju injected its bio weapon into her, tearing another large hole in her side as it raised its head to watch in sheer pleasure as she screamed out as loud as she could. The bio-weapon instantly took effect and began liquefying her form and she could feel every scratch! Here cries were loud and piteous but they were short-lived as her vocal cords liquefied along with the rest of her body. Her life force drained by the demon who accepted the gift with open jaws. The kaiju finished its second meal and continuing through the twisted corridors, looking for anything that might even resemble a nuclear reactor. After a few more minutes of searching, the kaiju grew tired of this pathetic search method. The kaiju grimaced and decided that an areal approach would yield better results. Rather than wasting time finding its way to an exit, it simply burst out of a window, letting its firm natural armor stay the glass, caring little for the collateral damage for this was just the beginning! It landed with a muffled thud in the grass outside the establishment. Snorting, it looked back at the building.

"You are hereby under arrest in the name of... well, me!"

Destroyah turned, snarling at its new alicorn visitors. White energy flickered in its jaws. Celestia readied her horn which blazed with solar energy. Destroyah reared and charged the princess, murder clearly visible in its eyes. Celestia loosed a ray of energy from her horn which hit Destroyah's hind legs and glued the kaiju in place. It reared up, shrieking in rage as stone crawled up its legs and torso. Its flared wings froze in place as did its menacing snarl. Celestia ruffled her wings.

"Well that was easy."

Celestia trotted up to the statue and just bairly touched it before a loud resonating cracking sound was heard. Celestia jumped back, shocked and fearful. Cracks bloomed on the floral pattern on the kaiju's chest, but then they stopped. Celestia stood waiting for something to happen but nothing else did. She readied another spell to mend the statue but as she did so a hissing sound was heard. Red micro-oxygen energy was being released from the cracks in the statue which soon burst apart, leaving only a cloud or red dust to be enveloped by the Earth. After a few moments the ground shook so violently Celestia was forced to take to the air. As she did so a large red claw broke through the soil right where she was standing. Several more massive claws dug their way frantically to the surface. Several hundred golden evil eyes blinked to life as the many heads of the aggregate crablettes of Destroyah rose to the surface. Their shrieks struck fear into all that could hear them, a sound no pony had ever experienced, one that market the end of Equestrian civilization. The demonic calls were soon answered by the war cry, the horn of battle. In the distance stood the royal guard lead by Luna in Nightmare's battle armor. Celestia retreated to the equestrian front lines were Luna was poised for battle.

"You handle them, I am about to do something probably viewed as stupid."

"What ist thou planning sister?"

"I plan on having a chat with Discord."
