Chapter 11 - We are Destroyah

Celestia felt bad leaving her men to the destructive demonic beasts but she also knew they where in capable hooves, being led by Luna and Shining Armor. Under her wing power, she shot straight and true to Canterlot. Once in the mountainside city, she entered her personal bed chambers via her balcony, not wasting any time at the door. With great haste she moved over to a rather large set of golden double doors and opened the locks. They swung open lazily revealing a rather terrified statue of a Draconequus. Once revealed, he gave a dark chuckle, his chest illuminating with purple energy with every noise.

"I saw what your sister tried to do last night!"

"Ugh. Stop messing around Discord!"

"Why? It was hilarious!!!"

"Enough with your nonsense! You are more ancient than I..."

"Great, first you trap me in stone and now you call me old!"

"... I was going to say that you are also wiser than I shall ever be!"

"That's better!"

"Don't push it. *Sigh* I need your help."

Despite the statue's terrified expression, she could almost see the smile on his face as she said that.

"Discord, there is a beast on the loose. Do you know of it?"

"The Destroyer? Yes I do!"

"Good. Now, tell me everything you know of it."

"Tsk tsk. Such a big demand requires a massive price!"

"What could you possibly want Discord?"

"I knew your sister was the smarter one, I want my freedom of course!"

"You know I cant give you that Discord."

"Ah, but you have no choice Celestia! I have vital information of this death god and you are running out of time! The more it fights and destroys, the more chaos it spreads, the easier it will be to free myself! But if you free me now, I won't attack you during this hour of crisis."

"Like I would believe your lies Discord!"

Celestia blinked and suddenly the statue was two inches from her muzzle.

"Why would I lie when the truth hurts so much more? Now, FREE ME!"

"Never!"

Celestia slid the statue back into the room.

"Forget you! I will have the element bearers deal with the beast! You stay put!"

"Like I have a choice... but just remember I told you so!"

Celestia re-locked the massive golden doors as her heart sunk. She feared that what Discord was say was true and that perhaps the best option would be to free the bearer of chaos.

"Maybe what Discord said is true, maybe we can't stop it... No, that is impossible! The elements will take care of it!"

Reassuring herself with this though, she sent a message to the element bearers, then departed for Ponyville. She soon landed gracefully at Twilight's library and was greeted by six bewildered ponies.

"Princess Celestia! What is going on?"

"We are at war Twilight."

"War?!"

"Yes, your 'friend' is on a bloodthirsty rampage and is currently fighting the royal guard. Bring the elements, we must make haste!"

"But why are the elements needed?"

"I used a stone imprisonment spell on it, much like Discord's, but the creature broke out almost immediately!"

"Oh my... to think it can possibly be that strong! Very well, lets go!"

The battle was like a scene straight from a painting kept by the devil himself. The swarm of creatures smashed into the front lines of armored ponies, tearing them apart with ease. Their flailing spiked limbs on their backs impaled the ponies, ripping through the flimsy metal armor. Loosing their micro-oxygen spray, they liquefied the guards and their armor, tearing away at wave-after-wave of soldiers. The kaiju spawn where too massive, the earth pony guards where simply flattened and trampled by the spiked legs of the Destroyah crabletts. A few of the guards were lucky enough to find a hole in the creature's defenses but even then, the ponies were not able to fully subdue the demons. They continued to tear at the guard like rabid wolves, tearing into their soft flesh, ripping through their metal coatings and even crunching through their brittle bone. The crablettes had pushed the ponies all the way into the port city down from the power plant, slaughtering many on their way. The guards were defenseless against them until Luna and Shining Armor joined the fray. Shining's shield spells pushed the kaiju back. They tried to force their way through the shield, but the moment one shattered, another was cast. Meanwhile, Luna had taken to the skies, blasting the aggregates with her dark magic. Finally it seemed the front was getting some leverage over the kaiju, an apparent sight as the demons retreated. The group started to cheer and give chase but that feeling of joy soon faded, replaced by a feeling of absolute dread which washed over them like an icy blanket that froze them in place. The crablettes joined together at the edge of the city in a great flash of light. Lightning crackled down and an explosion rocked the city. Looming over them, screeching in anger, stood a massive aggregate Destroyah. It screamed out in rage and loosed a small burst of its new deep purple breath weapon into the sky. The oxygen-destroyer rained down and blasted the remaining soldiers to nothing. Not even their armor coatings remained! The demon, towering over any survivor, slashed foreword, knocking over several buildings in the process. Destroyah raged but its attention was soon stolen by a certain midnight alicorn flying overhead, raining energy blasts on its armored head. It did next to nothing against its crustacious armor but it was still irritating. As she circled the kaiju, its rage continued to increase; it had soon had enough! Dissolving again into its micro-forms to regroup, Destroyah emerged in its flying form and rushed the startled Luna. She darted away at her top speed by the sheer size of the kaiju made it hard to avoid. The flying demon lashed out at her several times but she managed to just barely evade the blows. It loose its micro-oxygen spray at her, attempting to blast the alicorn out of the sky but she still managed to evade. However, her high-speed maneuvers soon began to take their tole and Luna began to tire as sweat began to rapidly drip from her pours. The kaiju exploiting the opportunity and rushed right up to greet Luna's struggling form. Gaping its jaws, it was within meters of swallowing her whole. Luckily for the alicorn, the kaiju was knocked clean out of the sky and slammed into the ground by some ungodly force. Celestia descended, huffing and sweating herself due to the great expense of magic she was forced to use. She flew over to the breathless Luna as the kaiju rose, hissing and growing as it did, reforming into its aggregate form.

'It seems that even now, we are not at full strength. There is no way such a pathetic blow would have taken us out of the sky when Godzilla was still on the field... But that was long ago, now it is time for your worthless souls to DIE!!!'

"Do not fret sister. The elements are here."

Celestia used her magic one more time and teleported the elements and their bearers to the scene. The six ponies gaped at the massive creature looming over them. Destroyah shrieked at them, its very breath pushing them back. However, the elements accepted the kaiju's deadly challenge. They began to glow with their own energies, preparing for a massive strike. Destroyah's fang-filled maw began to glow as well with its micro-oxygen weapon. The elements unleashed their power and Destroyah did the same, their beams clashing in a massive array of flying colors. The beams were continuously toggled, neither side seeming to get the edge on the other. Soon, however, the elements began to slowly push the kaiju's beam back. Destroyah, refusing to give in that easily, grunted in frustration and forced more power into its beam. Destroyah soon began to regain ground and further push the elements back. Their beams were almost at their faces as the kaiju grinned in victor but Celestia and her sister Luna were not about to let the kaiju win. Giving their remaining energy to the elements, the royal worriers began to win! Forcing more-and-more upon the kaiju, it soon realized, reluctantly, that victory was no longer at hand. Quickly changing forms, Destroyah attempted to evade the blow but failed. As it transformed, the beams struck the kaiju and sent it crashing back into the nuclear power plant, triggering the collapse of the building. Flames consumed the masses of rubble as the smoke stacks stood silent as ever, surviving towers amongst the ruins of a fallen city. Twilight inched forward curious and sounding a bit like Fluttershy.

"I-is he d-dead?"

"No."

Luna's voice caused everyone to look at her as she stared ahead at the ruins of the plant.

"It is still alive. We can sense its presence. Tis gathering, regrouping for another attack."
