My Little Destroyah

Chapter 13 - Super Nova

Destroyah rose from the rubble, clearly confused and shocked on the highest of levels. Its most hated enemy had just passed into this new world and he had recognized it immediately!

"Hello Destroyah, it's been a long time!"

"How can this be?! You were on the verge of meltdown, we could sense it!"

"That was not me!"

"Wait?! No, NO!!! That is impossible!!! I slaughtered you myself, I saw the life force drain of of your piteous shell!"

"And I remember ever horrific memory or that dreaded day... and now it is time for you to pay for every bit of it!"

Destroyah was utterly aghast but, after a moment to take in all the information, the demonic kaiju cracked a twisted grin.

"Well then, if you are Jr, then this should be easier than I though!"

"I am no longer a Jr, I am the king of monsters!"

"No matter! You shall always be the Jr to us and because of that, you will always be inferior!"

"I have grown a lot since we last met, you don't know what I can do!"

"On the contrary, I think I do!"

"I have learned many things since we last battled but the most important of all those thing is that I am going to kick your ass!"

"Try us!"

The kaiju king reared its head and roared out its violent call of death to its most hated foe. Destroyah, in turn, released its own terrifying battle cry as the terrified audience of the colossal battle stood in utter silence.

"Discord, do you have any idea as to why Godzilla is here?!"

The Draconequus simply scratched his head. "I can only assume that the explosion caused by Destroyah and Spike created some form of wormhole, or perhaps it was the massive output of energy at the plant, or both!"

At the mention of the name Spike, Twilight continued her intense bawling but it was drowned out by the cries of the kaiju towering over the seaside development area. Destroyah gazed at its opponent with hate and malice, finally realizing that it didn't do a good enough job on its rival's son and he had grown to adulthood. Godzilla roared out at Destroyah and charged the demon, lashing out with great force using his clawed fists. Godzilla pummeled Destroyah repetitively, striking out as its chest and face will deadly force, pushing the kaiju back. To end his combo, Godzilla reared back and struck Destroyah in the gut with his massive foot, sending the demon crashing to the ground, it body tearing through buildings and adding fresh debris to the demolition. Destroyah raised itself from the rubble around it and looked back at Godzilla, a chuckle rising from his fang-filled maw. "It seems you have gotten stronger than before, that was impressive but you'll need a lot more to defeat us!"

"There is plenty more on the way!"

Godzilla rushed up to strike again at Destroyah but the demon slashed out with laser horn, forcing the new kaiju king back. The cut steamed as the micro-oxygen easily sliced through Godzilla's thick chest hide. The kaiju held its hand to the wound in pain but quickly shook of the effects.

"So you want to play dirty, huh?! Well two can play at that game!"

Godzilla's spines began to glow a vibrant blue as a massive beam of pure nuclear energy shot from its gaping jaws, striking Destroyah square in the chest and forcing the demon to its knees.

"Your beam has gotten much stronger, we're impressed... but it's still not as strong as you father's! He would be so ashamed!"

"Don't you say a word about my father!!!"

Godzilla charged the demon but Destroyah only gave a devilish griping as it spread its wings and took to the skies, avoid the kaiju king's clawed fist. Soaring through the sky with its massive draconian wings, Destroyah rained down its deadly micro-oxygen spray onto the grounded Godzilla and any structure near his form. The heliotrope bio-weapon struct Godzilla repetitively, sending heavy sparks flying as it collided with the kaiju's thick hide.

"We have to take shelter inside! Its too dangerous out here!"

The ponies rushed after Discord as he moved inside a nearby standing building, the tremors from the dueling gargantuans causing dust to seep from the roof as the whole building shook.

The raging Godzilla retaliated with a blast of his atomic ray but Destroyah evaded the shot, quickly darting out of the way with a great wing-beat. Godzilla continued to swing its head around, its nuclear beam tearing through the sky and trailing the soaring demon as it turned. Destroyah then suddenly shot out of view and Godzilla sealed his jaws, ceasing the beam. Searching left and right, the kaiju king tried to find his missing quarry but the demon was nowhere to be found. After a long moment of silence, a devilish snicker rose from behind Godzilla. The kaiju king turned to find Destroyah in all its demonic glory. The demon charged forward, smashing straight into Godzilla with its full weight and sending him to the floor. Quickly turning, Destroyah latched its tail pincer around the grounded kaiju's neck, spreading its wings and taking flight, dragging the kaiju king with it. Godzilla grunted out in rage, trying to free itself from the demon's grip but the constant battering of buildings kept him from doing so. Destroyah snickered its demonic call as it continued to drag Godzilla through the dirt, driving him through building-after-building. When Destroyah was done with its laughs, it released Godzilla from its grip and returned to the skies but Godzilla just kept sliding, driven forward by the force of his release. The kaiju crashing into a large comb of structures, sending them all to the ground in an enormous smoke cloud.

Godzilla exploded from the rubble and bellowed in rage. Destroyah landed in front of the beast and roared out as well, signaling its preparation for battle. Its laser horn began to blaze and crackle with crimson micro-oxygen energy as Godzilla's spines began to fume. Godzilla fired off a small yet concentrated blast of nuclear energy but the demon Destroyah cleaved the blast in two with his massive horn. The two kaiju snarled at each other, clearly both enraged. Destroyah charged Godzilla, slashing down with laser horn onto his chest. Godzilla roared out in pain as the micro-oxygen tore through his body, sending blood and flesh flying as puss began to gather. Godzilla held his hand to the wound as he lowered his head but the kaiju king was not defeated, not by a long shot. Godzilla then shot his head to the sky and trusted his arms to the side as he unleashed a massive nuclear pulse. The great burst of nuclear energy leveled everything that was still anything higher than ground level and sent Destroyah flying back.

"What was that sound?" Luna asked to no one in particular, "maybe we should go check it out?" The lunar princess trotted just outside the crumbling edifice to settle her curious mind.

"Luna, NO!!!" Celestia cried out as the nuclear pulse struct. The massive wave of nuclear energy struck Luna with the strength of an atom bomb and sent her shooting back into the building as it was also leveled by the deafening blow. Discord immediately put a shield around the elements as the walls were bushed down and the roof collapsed. The steaming pile of rubble was silent for a moment but was soon disturbed as the draconequus pulled himself and his shield out of the rubble. Twilight nervously looked around.

"W-where are princesses?"

Her question was answered by another blast in the rubble. Celestia had used her magic to tear her way out with only minor cuts and bruises. She looked around.

"Is everypony alright?"

"It seems so." Discord replied.

"Wait?! Where is Luna?!"

Celestia was horrified at the disappearance of her sister and began to frantically search through the rubble, followed suit by the rest of the ponies. They desperately hoped to find the lunar princess but little turned up.

"Over here!" Discord shouted, finally finding something.

Celestia snapped her head to look at Discord and a single armored hoof raised out of the rubble. It wasn't moving! Celestia rushed over and began to frantically dig, praying to herself that her sister would be alright. She quickly pulled Luna's unconscious body from the rubble, finding her form to be heavily battered. One of her wings was mangled pretty badly, perhaps even unusable and there was a large burning gash on her left side, leading from her breastplate to her flank. The wound was steaming from the nuclear rage unleashed upon her and was leaking Ichor, the golden blood of the gods. Discord walked over and placed his talons on Luna's jugular, checking her vital signs.

"She's alive, but barely. Her wing will take a very long time to heal, if it ever does and that cut will leave a nasty scar. We need to get her out of her before she sustains any more damage."

Celestia was overwhelmed with hate as she realized who had done this. She looked up at the fighting kaiju and a feral growl built up in her beating chest. A circle of flames spread around her as her hate violently grew. Discord retreated with Luna and started to mend her wounds, fearing the celestial princess would lose her mind. Celestia was more pissed than she had ever been. Her regula had melted and transformed into a Nightmare Moon style armor and her eyes where now slitted and red. Her ethereal mane had gone from gentle colors to breathed in flames which contrasted with her white coat, making her even brighter in appearance. Celestia's dark side had been unleashed in all its fury; Super Nova was on the rampage!

"Did you really think I was going to let you tear through me without any retaliation?!"

"I must admit, you have gotten stronger but you are still nothing more than an obstacle in my way!" Destroyah replied to the kaiju king's boastful statement as the demon raised itself from the rubble.

"Mark my words, you shall not prevail on this day! I will never let you live, not after what you have done to me!"

"We shall see!"

"Let's!"

Godzilla surged foreword, throwing his weight into his shoulder as he collided with the demonic kaiju. Destroyah stumbled back from the blow and snickered.

"Is that really the best you can do?!"

"Just watch me!" Godzilla lashed his clawed hand forward and struck a Destroyah's chest, tearing at his floral pattern. Destroyah grunted in pain as he coiled up, harboring his rage. The demon then lashed out, striking Godzilla with the full weight of his larger mass, sending the kaiju king crashing to the leveled floor. Destroyah followed up his blow with several blasts of its oxygen destroyer breath. The beam struck Godzilla's thick hide, sending sparks flying and explosions raging. Godzilla's eyes burned a crimson red with his rage as he whipped his tail around, striking Destroyah's legs and sending him tumbling to the floor. The kaiju king raised himself above Destroyah and roared our to the sky. Destroyah tried to strike at Godzilla but the kaiju anticipated the blow and retaliated with a massive blast of his atomic breath. Destroyah recoiled in pain from the blast but would not relent. Spreading its wings, the demonic kaiju once again took to the skies and avoided Godzilla's massive foot which came stomping down into the dirt, sending out a burst of dust and debris. Destroyah cracked its demonic grin and shot a concentrated burst of its micro-oxygen spray directly at Godzilla. The strong shot struck Godzilla in the chest, further singing the gash he received from Destroyah's later horn. The kaiju king snarled in rage and loosed a streak of his atomic flames. The shot was powerful and well aimed but the demon was still able to avoid the blast with a massive wing beat. Destroyah began to fly off into the distance, directing Godzilla away from this barren landscape. Godzilla snarled at the 'fleeing' kaiju and began to march towards its location, stomping deep into the soil with every step. Destroyah landed in Manhattan and let out his demonic cackle. It then proceeded to regurgitate a massive burst of micro-oxygen which it launched into the smoke-filled sky. The response was a blast in the face as Godzilla approached.

The blast caught Destroyah off guard and sent the demon stumbling, reeling back from the painful strike. His sizzling face was burned by the nuclear shot but Destroyah pushed through the pain. There was no way it was going to lose to that maggot! The kaiju king unleashed another blast of his blue atomic breath, this time striking Destroyah in the chest. Godzilla continued to bombard the demon with powerful shots, soon sending it kneeling down in defeat. Godzilla ceased his bombardment, believing the demon was subdued, and leaned his head back as he roared triumphantly. Destroyah did not take kindly to this as it raised itself up from the floor, screaming in defiance. Destroyah rammed into Godzilla, sending him tumbling back to the outskirts of Manhattan but the nuclear menace was not deterred. Godzilla rushed forwards in an attempt to ram Destroyah once again. The demon refused to be struck back at and leaped up for a take off but Godzilla grabbed his armored legs and blasted its nearest wing. Destroyah roared out in pain as Godzilla spun the demon around by its legs and tossed it across the city. Destroyah slammed down hard into the dirt, ripping through dozens of buildings with its massive form. The demon snickered from the rubble as a flash of light flickered in the sky. Godzilla snarled in confusion then looked up to face the approaching bomb. The Oxygen Destroyer rained down from the sky, crashing straight into Godzilla. The explosion caused by the detonation of the deadly bomb was massive, destroying the entire city in a single shot! The ravaged scene fell silent as Destroyah raised itself from the shattered and steaming rubble. The demon scanned the barren landscape; Godzilla was nowhere to be found. Destroyah roared out in victory but this moment of triumph was short lived. As the demon roared to the sky, a spiral atomic ray shot out from a mound of rubble, striking Destroyah in the neck region and sending the demon crashing down to the jagged floor. Godzilla pushed himself up from the rubble, his entire body sizzling from the massive oxygen bomb. Parts of even his tough hide had been singed off as blood trickled down from several heavy burns across his body. The Oxygen Destroyer was the ultimate weapon against the kaiju king and that was only a small shot! Destroyah quickly raised itself to meet the towering Godzilla. Both kaiju snarled at each other then released their breath weapons simultaneously. The massive nuclear blasts crashed into each other with the force to shatter a mountain! Colors danced and sparks flew around the clashing beams as both kaiju fought to gain dominance over each other in the 'beam war.' Godzilla soon began to fail in the struggle; the intensity of the previous strike was just too much. Then, from out of nowhere, a small crimson blast struck Destroyah in the back of the head, directing the demon's attention away from Godzilla. Seeing his chance, the kaiju king forced all the power he could into his beam and it surged forward towards Destroyah. The demon only took its attention away from the beam war for a moment but by then, it was too late. The combination of both beams colliding with Destroyah's face caused a massive explosion which sent the kaiju falling back to the floor. The earth-shattering explosion could be heard for miles around followed by the bloodcurdling call of the kaiju king himself.

Godzilla didn't recognize the blazing mare but it was alright with her presence as long as she was helping in the struggle. Destroyah raised itself in rage. As she flew around the raging and thrashing kaiju, she bombarded Destroyah with energy hot as the sun. Destroyah was severely annoyed and distracted by the blasts, taking its attention off of Godzilla who kept basting it with his own nuclear breath. The demon kaiju wondering what unholy force caused it to fail that beam war it was clearly prevailing in. It snarled out its demonic roar as it charged up its massive laser horn. Super Nova was now added to the fray and Destroyah was not going to have any of it! Both the kaiju king and the raging princess began bombarding the demon with their own unique blasts of energy. Super Nova soared over Destroyah, pelting the demon's skull with her crimson energy blasts that mimicked the very sun as Godzilla shot down on Destroyah with his own atomic breath. Destroyah was being backed into a corner by a gang-up duel assault and it did not like it. Destroyah coughed up a glowing energy ball that drew in Godzilla while it took to the skies and, with one massive wing thrust, struck Super Nova, sending her crashing to the floor. The moment Godzilla touched the micro-oxygen ball, the kaiju king was forced to the ground by the concentrated blast. His now weakened skin burned intensely from the shot as Godzilla roared out in sheer pain. Destroyah cackled and relished the feeling of finally having space as it soared over its foes on its mighty wings. Destroyah landed once again, just barely missing Super Nova with its massive feet. It then proceeded to approached the grounded kaiju king with caution, knowing that he would not go without a fight. It stared intently at the body as its laser horn charged to counter anything Godzilla would throw at it. Still, the demon failed to notice the kaiju king's tail until it slammed hard into its shins just below its spiked knees, tripping it. Then, in one fluid motion, Godzilla raised itself and, forcing all the strength he had into his shoulders, he slammed himself into the tumbling demon and sent it shooting back into the rubble wings first. Destroyah crashed down hard into the jagged debris, causing a fairly large smoke cloud as its armored hide came into contact with the rough earth. Destroyah slowly raised itself and screeched in pain and fury. But as it got back up, a fiery ball of energy descended from the sky, hitting it dead on the cheek and bringing it back to its knees.

Destroyah snarled out in pain as small lumps of armored hide fell off of its already singed face. The demon cracked open its raging golden eye as it raised its head to see Super Nova fly back up from the kaiju's demonic skull in triumph. Destroyah was now severely ticked off with the worthless mare. It had always hated her celestial presence but now she had crossed the line! In one fluid motion, Destroyah leaped up with its massive wings and slammed its mighty jaws around Super Nova, swallowing her whole. Godzilla roared at the distracted Destroyah who now returned its battle cry with renewed effort. Destroyah opened up its deadly maw and blasted Godzilla with its micro-oxygen spray. Godzilla screeched in pain as the horrid blast continued to singe his damaged skin but he would not let up. Raising his lowered head the kaiju king loosed his own atomic breath, ripping further through Destroyah's torn face. Destroyah stumbled back as Godzilla came in close and began to rake his razor claws down Destroyah's chest. The diamond-hard claws penetrating the demon's floral pattern with some effort as green blood oozed from the the damaged chest region. Destroyah streaked out in pain then raised its glowing head up, slashing it down and tearing into Godzilla with laser horn. Godzilla screamed out in utter pain as Destroyah leaned back and slammed the injured kaiju back down to the floor. Destroyah roared out in victory as it prepared for a final blow but, the kaiju started to convulse. Destroyah dropped to his knees as a cracking sound was heard. Destroyah stumbled around, roaring in agony. Then, its chest suddenly burst open, spraying green blood everywhere. Super Nova flew from the mess covered in gore. She quickly cleaned herself off and then noticed Destroyah had disappeared.

"You fight well princess but, you know nothing of the powers you are dealing with!" The demon snickered in an eerie voice from behind.

"Where are you?! Show yourself and fight!"

"Foolish mare!" As Super Nova jolted her head back and forth, searching for the missing kaiju, several large aggregates Destroyahs tore their way skywards and rose from the battered soil, assaulting Godzilla in one massive wave. Godzilla snorted and roared at these new foes as they stabbed and slashed at his steaming legs. They attempted to scale the kaiju king and attack his precious head and neck but Godzilla refused to grant them access. As they climbed up his back, Godzilla's dorsal spines singed with his nuclear rage and they were forced to retreat. Others tried the front of the kaiju but Godzilla merely forced them to the ground with his fist, loosing his atomic breath to keep them at bay. One of the crabellets, however, moved away from the group and targeted the confused Super Nova. The demonic crustacean surged forward and lashed out at Super Nova but she avoided the blow and struck back with her shining hoof. The carotid foot slammed into the aggregate's side and and sent it stumbling back but it seemed as if the blow had almost no effect!

"You foolish mare! Did you really think that was going to work?!"

Super Nova raged and rushed forward to strike the aggregate but before she could, the crustacean disintegrated, reforming back with the others to become the final form again. The reformed Destroyah snorted at Super Nova, staring deeply in rage into her burning eyes. The demon then snarled as it struck it massive clawed fist downwards, crushing Super Nova to the floor with tremendous force. Destroyah roared out in victory but Super Nova refused to die. Seeing that its quarry tried to escape, Destroyah slammed its massive clawed foot down onto the helpless mare, crushing her to a pulp. Repetitively the kaiju crushed down on the near lifeless pony, forcing her deeper into a crater in the floor. Over-and-over the weight of the kaiju was pressed onto her until a blast of atomic breath grabbed the demon's attention once more. Destroyah lumbered off to face the wounded Godzilla, its crushed foe as good as dead and long forgotten.

Despite the massive amount of danger facing the frightened ponies, they ran across

the barren plane of rubble and charred debris to find Celestia's limp form. They found her in the center of a large crater resembling the shape of the demon's massive foot. She was beaten down and drenched in golden Ichor; her situation was worse then dire. Her armor was shattered and her flaming mane was choked with smoke. Her form was flattened as all her bones were fractured, split or crushed. Her chest was completely caved in and her beautiful celestial horn was snapped in half. She couldn't have looked worse drenched in her own spattered blood which seeped from ever part of her near lifeless body. Discord flashed into existence next to her, blocking the sight of her horrid form from the ponies with his own body to avoid further mental scarring.

"It was a good run ol' girl but everyone must pay the piper eventually. Do you still wish to wreak vengeance upon the kaiju that did this to you and your domain?"

Celestia could just barely tilt her head in the slightest, barely performing a nod as she struggling not to slip into the cool embrace of the reaper waiting for her to breathe her last breath.

"I can transfer your powers as you die to the Godzilla. The power of the sun and the nuclear abomination, Solar Fission if you will." Discord gave a small chuckle. Celestia responded with only the tinniest of smiles with the remaining energy she had. And with that, Princess Celestia, regent of the sun, had passed on to that other world of bliss and paradise. The ponies around her were reduced to tears, lamenting the loss of their beloved ruler. Discord raised his taloned hand and Celestia's body dissolved into a bright red energy. It collected around Discord's talons and he released the energy towards the warring kaiju; towards Godzilla!

Celestia's death was unnoticed by the raging kaiju as they battled for dominance. Godzilla tore at Destroyah further with his claws, hoping to cause maximum damage by blasting his atomic breath weapon into its injured regions but Destroyah soon had enough. The demonic kaiju slashed its head back and forth, tearing clean through Godzilla with laser horn repetitively. With every strike Godzilla roared out in utter pain. Destroyah then lowered its head and skewed Godzilla with its massive horn, ripping further through him as lasers horn maximized the damage. Godzilla screamed out but its call was choked as Destroyah latched its tail pincer around the kaiju kings neck, dislodging the beaten kaiju and tossing him into a large clump of standing buildings that managed to survive the Oxygen Destroyer. Godzilla crashed down with a depressing grown as the establishments bust into flames. Destroyah shot out a small burst of micro-oxygen towards the flames to finish the job. When the burst came into contact with the beaten kaiju, it exploded on impact, destroying whatever was left of the shattered city.

The scene was silent, nothing moved. Destroyah spread its wings and roared to the heavens in victory; it had won! But it had again failed to notice something. An ominous red glow had seeped into the rubble, a life force lost to the fray. After a few moments, the rubble exploded with a deafening blast, releasing a crimson spiral ray directly at the chuckling demon. Destroyah looked down stunned as the blast smashed into its armored hide, sending the demon flying backwards with great force. The only thing that could be heard from the horrid scene was a single call. The call of a furious hell demon. The call of a true hellish king.
