My Little Destroyah

You see it has come to my attention that some of you are displeased with my idea of Spike becoming Godzilla so with the help of my psychotic editor there has been a few changes and a massive fight! Oh and some of you might hate me but someone get whacked.

Chapter 12 - The Demons Gather

"What should we do sister?!"

"What did Discord say?"

"He withheld information saying that he needed freedom in order to relinquish his knowledge. He said if I didn't, the chaos that this monster will cause would be more than enough to free him at any rate."

"Then we set him free."

"What!? Are you mad!?"

"Nay sister! We have not gone insane! Didst thou' see how little it was perturbed by the Elements?! Even now as we speak the beast grows stronger, reforming for another assault! Who knows how powerful it may become!"

Celestia realized the gravity of the situation.

"Very well, it will be as you say. Just pray Discord doesn't help that thing."

"Don't worry sister, tis not his way."

Celestia smiled, begging that what she said was true and spread her wings.

"Stay here dear sister and don't do anything reckless or stupid while I'm gone! I will awaken the Draconequus."

With a few pumps of her wings the Princess was airborne and she was once again on her way to Canterlot. She reached her bedchambers with ease and opened the golden doors quickly, not wanting to waste any time. Before her stood Discord, entombed as usual and as still as ever.

"Alright Discord, I shall free you but only, and I mean ONLY on two conditions. One: you must tell me everything you know about this new terror that we face and offer your aid in the battle to stop it. Two: you are forbidden from causing any sort of chaos on any level while you are liberated, this monster has caused enough on its own."

"Oh such a sour puss. Very well, but since I can't cause chaos here, I would like to have my own city, one that I can rule freely and do whatever I want with!"

"It is done, now tell me about the beast."

"I hold you to your word former Element of Honesty. Now where were we? Ah yes, the Destroyer! Back in ancient times, billions of years ago, long before even I existed, the world was a very different place. Life was small and barely taking hold in the shallow waters forming on this hardly hospitable planet. Amongst the primordial soup of primitive life forms, a predator was born, an apex predator. Only less than a millimeter across, this beast and the first of the crustaceans was enormous compared to its rivals and prey alike. This thing was Destroyah but not as we know it today. Back then, it was merely a carnivorous being which longed to survive and spread its genes to the next generation but then, something happened! As it always does, the world changed! Creatures evolved and grew, water levels rose and the toxicity of the air thinned; life was beginning to take grow! Destroyah refused to go extinct despite its changing surroundings. The creatures worked as one, burrowed into the earth, tunneling deep to escape the changing world. For centuries this colony of micro organisms were left in a state of slumber, entombed in the earth for billions of years! While they slept, the Earth continued to change: creatures dominated and went extinct, new powers rose and fell and the cycle of life continued. However, somewhere down the line a new type of creature was born, one of superior intellect and unimaginable power. The first man was born. Though there beginnings were humble, starting out as mere upright, hairy primates, they continued to evolve and change, adapting to their surroundings. However, soon they grew beyond just adapting, they wanted to CONTROL! They became a world superpower, unrivaled by any other species! Their knowledge and intellect grew exponentially but, instead of using it for good, to benefit this planet, they used their resources for evil! They became immeasurably powerful, using their strengths and might to destroy and conquer, heavily abusing their knowledge for their own benefit. One man, Dr. Daisuke Serizawa, created a weapon so powerful that no living organism could survive its terror! He created the Oxygen Destroyer. This monstrosity was not just any weapon of mass destruction, this was a bio-weapon that worked at the molecular level, stripping its victims of oxygen and asphyxiating them, then liquefying their flesh, leaving only dreaded skeletons of what used to be a vivid ecosystem."

Celestia was horrified by this ghastly machine Discord spoke of but she still listened intently, not wanting to forget a single detail.

"Now, when man abused their power, the Earth refused to die quietly, using their own arrogance against them and birthing creatures of unimaginable power. The kaiju were born. Her champion creation, created during bomb tests of Wold War II, was a terrifying horror that struck fear into all that so much as spoke its name. The beast was called Gojira. It was said the monster was infallible, indestructible and immortal. There was nothing any of the human's fire power, no matter how strong, could do to the beast. Their greatest weapon at the time, the nuclear bomb, only made the monster stronger since it was birthed from that very horror. However, when Serizawa's weapon was created, it was the only machine capable of deafening him but Serizawa worried that its power would be abused. Destroying his research and sacrificing himself, Serizawa unleashed his bio-weapon upon Godzilla, destroying the beast and taking his deadly weapon to the grave with him. Unfortunately, Godzilla was never totally defeated and the monster regenerated and continued to destroy Japan for decades afterwards. However, that was not the only thing the Oxygen Destroyer managed to achieve. Though Serizawa was killed and his weapon lost with no means of recreating it, which was his death wish, it created something much worse. The micro organisms in the soil were mutated by the deadly compounds, absorbing their energy to become the beast you know today. In 1996, more than 40 years after the Oxygen Destroyer was unleashed, the world was in a crisis. Godzilla had absorbed all the energy of several of his foes: Rodan, Specagodzilla, ..."

"Wait! So you are saying there are more of these things besides Gojira and Destroyah?!" Cilestia asked, terrified by what she heard.

"Oh you have no idea! There were more of these creatures than ponies in Equastria! Now, can I continue uninterrupted?!"

"Yes, sorry, please continue."

"...... great I lost my train of thought, have a medal, have two."

Said awards popped out of thin air and landed around Celestia's neck.

"Where was I again .... Ah yes! As I was saying, Gojira, also called Godzilla had become even more powerful than before, on the verge of becoming a god but these powers were not granted for free, his heart was dying. Godzilla had absorbed so much energy that his heart, a nuclear reactor in essence, couldn't take it and began to fail. His body raged and boiled, growing blazing red marks across his scaly hide that glowed with the intensity of a sun! His nuclear breath must have tripled in strength, easily able to shatter entire cities and pummel kaiju far larger than himself. He had absorbed so much nuclear energy that man feared what would happen when his heart finally did give in. The answer, an explosion that would have wiped out all life on Earth and made the surface sterile for decades, maybe even centuries to come! Man refused to go down quietly and dispatch a specially-designed freezer unit called the Super X III. This aircraft was armed with a menagerie of freezer masers and cadmium missiles. It was the perfect force to take down the burning giant. However, this was not the only threat humanity faced. One man had discovered the secrets of the Oxygen Destroyer, something Serizawa wanted so badly to never be found. Micro oxygen, extremely dense oxygen atoms, was the key and with this, humanity wished to solve many of their problem but, they had little idea of what this deadly bio weapon could truly do. G-Force, AKA Godzilla Force, a special team designed specifically to study Godzilla, had found some peculiar Precambrian soil samples they wanted to test. However, soil was not the only thing present in this sample. After billions of years of waiting, Destroyah finally emerged, ready to tackle anything this new world could throw at it with its new found micro oxygen powers! These creatures were now highly adaptable and able to survive in any environment that contained oxygen and our oxygen-rich atmosphere was a perfect breeding ground! Easily escaping its test-tube containment, the deadly microbe entered a nearby aquarium. It was still an expert swimmer and easy weaver it's way through the filtration system and into the tanks. Fish after fish fell as the assassin's deadly bio weapon tore at their flesh, ripping it straight from the bone!"

Celestia was silent, she couldn't believe a creature of such pure evil could ever exist.

"The single Destroyah called out to the rest of its hibernating kin and they all rose from the earth, gaining energy from the air and growing, combining with others of their own species to form even larger units. Destroyah's new form was only the size of a man but this was much larger than the original micro organisms. Soon tens, if not hundreds, of these 'aggregate' forms emerged and ran a muck in the city. The JSDF, AKA the Japanese Self Defense Force, dispatched a team to stop them but with little knowledge of the creatures, they were at a major loss. Clearly outmatch, the men tried desperately to penetrate their tough hide with their bullets with little success. These creatures were no longer limited to releasing small amount of micro oxygen to liquefy small creatures, they were now able to condense this power into a single beam with an even deadlier effect! Sound familiar?"

"Yes, far too much."

"Ahaha!!! Good ol' Destroyah!"

"You're not helping!"

"Haha!!! Sorry about that! Now, where was I?! Ah yes, many brave men fell to the creature's micro oxygen spray as it was called but they were able to destroy a few of them, sending the rest into hiding for the time being. But the monsters wouldn't stay quiet for long! Fearing the threat these creatures could have upon humanity, the JSDF began researching the creatures while they were inactive, using whatever means they could to discover their secrets. They found that cold to the extreme was their weakness. However, they realized this fact a little too late, the creatures had already resurfaced! They converged on a single point and were met by freezer weapon-equipped maser tanks. Both sides were shooting to kill but, the overwhelming freezer weapons soon got the best of the biological weapons. The creatures soon realized they couldn't survive alone and so, once again, they merged! This new form was similar in appearance to its previous form but much, much bigger! It was easily able to take the small freezers beams and it trampled their forces BUT, it was not done evolving! The creature quickly learned its land form was too slow to demolish the city any time soon so it reassembled into a hideous airborne beast of equal size yet even more grotesque appearance! This new form easily flew across the entirety of the city, leveling buildings and sucking the life force out of anything unlucky enough to get in the way of its deadly micro-oxygen beam. Meanwhile, the situation with Burning Godzilla, as he was named, was not improving. Godzilla had quickly reheated and melted away the ice brought down on him by Super X III! The explosion was averted but now, an even greater apocalypse was at hand, meltdown! This disaster would be far worse than a nuclear explosion! Godzilla's heart would fail at 1200 digress Celsius and its burning entity would melt straight through the Earth, not only ending its own life and all other life on Earth, but destroying the planet as well! This crisis had to be averted but what could man do, if they tried to attack the creature with conventional weapons, they could trigger the meltdown instantly! With only days to work, they had to act fast! Thoughts of recreating the Oxygen Destroyer were tossed around but that weapon had so much power, they were cautions around its building. However, they soon discovered they didn't have to, a creature of similar power already existed, Destroyah! They needed Godzilla to fight Destroyah but how were they going to convince the dying monster to return to Tokyo you may ask?! With his son! Nuclear testing near abandon islands around the Japanese mainlands caused Godzilla's son to mutate, increasing his growth rate and turning him into Godzilla Jr. This kaiju was much calmer than its father, only wanting to return to the place of its birth but the problem was, Godzilla was following him! They had to redirect the youngster to avert the end of the world! Reluctantly, two psychics named Miki Saegusa and Meru Ozawa changed Jr.'s course and sent him to Tokyo. The young kaiju was faced with the most deadly opponent he had ever battled and it was not even fully evolved! Destroyah quickly pummeled Godzilla Jr. into nearby buildings several times before Jr. retaliated with a blast of his atomic breath, sending the demon plummeting to earth. Destroyah was unfazed and quickly reformed back into its aggregate form, attacking Jr. on foot. The two were fairly matched but Jr. had less experience in battle and was quickly overpowered again. Destroyah pinned the younger to the ground with its body and injected its deadly bio weapon into his neck. Jr. raged and pushed the monster off with great force. Destroyah tried to retreat into the skies as his flying form but was pummeled into a nearby power plant by Jr. powerful nuclear blast. The building exploded and fires raged but there was no sign of Destroyah anywhere. Night fell and Godzilla arrived at shore. He quickly stomped over to his son and the two saurians began to converse. Sadly, their chat was short lived! For out of the rubble and flames of the demolished power plant rose the final form of Destroyah, a beast that stuck fear into the very heart of the devil himself! Thi..."

"Oh Faust!"

"What? What is it?! You didn't push Destroyah into Equestria's power plant, did you?!"

Celestia just stood their with an embarrassed and fearful look on her face.

"Oh boy! It looks like you screwed us all, didn't you?!"

"We'll, how was I supposed to know that, that... that monster feasts on nuclear radiation?!"

"All kaiju do, hello?!"

"Well, maybe it you had told me this sooner, it would not have come to be!"

"Alright, alright! Arguing over what has been done already won't solve anything! Right now, we need to get to that power plant!"

"Right!" Celestia said as she spread her wings and prepared to take off but before she did, she looked back to see Discord, still entombed by her curse and motionless.

"Now for your end of the bargain?!"

"Very well, I grant you your freedom."

"Finally!"

"Don't push you luck!"

"See, now that's why you don't have a coltfriend!"

"Oh quiet you!"

Celestia's horn touched Discord's forehead and the stone melted off of the Draconequus. As the enchantment slowly faded Discord wiggled around a bit, popping his joints for the first time in years.

"Ah, much better!"

Discord pulled out a paper hat from thin air and placed it on his head. He looked over at Celestia and poked her nose with his paw.

"What was that for?!"

"What do you think? It had to be done, now lets be off! There is no time to waste!"

"Right!"

Both the alicorn and the draconequus spread their wings and took off, heading in the same direction as Celestia originally came. It wasn't long before they made it again to the flaming power plant. Discord pulled out a rather large stick topped with a marshmallow and held it over the roaring flames.

"Well Discord, what is your plan?"

Discord sighed and discarded the stick after popping the overly burnt marshmallow in his mouth.

"You fee mah pfan... " Discord held up a talon indicating they should wait till he was done chewing. The draconequus swallowed his charred treat and resumed talking.

"As I was saying. My plan involves him." Discord slid his arm into a tree trunk and pulled out a trembling Spike. Twilight snorted and hoofed the ground.

"You wont lay a finger on him!"

"Please, Twilight, I have no intention of the thing. But IT might!"

Discord jabbed a thumb at the ruins of the plant.

"Just use the elements oh him to give em' a boost!"

"Will that work? It doesn't really make sen- ... You know what, I'm not going to question you."

Discord chuckled and patted Celestia's head. "Now ya learn!"

"Alright I guess its worth a shot."

Twilight and her friends backed up, all facing Spike.

"W-wait you guys aren't serious are you?!"

"Spike you are the only one that can do this! Though you have no kaiju blood running through your veins, you are a dragon, and that's the closest thing we got!"

"Well I suppose ... will it hurt?"

Discord grinned. "Most likely! Fire at will girls!"

Spike was zapped by the elements and he began to grow. Muscles appeared rippling under his thickening scales. Spines grew and claws sharpened. Spike was now full size, towering over the ponies but he was still quite short compared to Destroyah's earlier aggregate form. Discord held up a paw filled with red flames and blasted Spike with it. Spike grew again. His Purple scales sharpened even further and thickened into a strong hide. His legs rippled and gained more mass, extending in length as his arms became slightly stumpy as he returned to a quadrupedal stance. The thorns running across his spine extended into deadly daggers. Spike's jaws narrowed and filled with serrated fangs. His skull was now much long and more of a triangular shape with long crest thorns jutting out of the rear. His once green eyes where now ablaze in an orange and red color as they became slit and animalistic. His tail lengthened into a curling whip with vicious spines poking out from every direction. His three-toed feet grew as well while his toes themselves lengthened into massive talons. His wings extended, growing tremendously as his fingers extended to form great draconic wings. The newly made skin that created the actual wings were strong and free of tears. Three of his five fingers on each hand elongated to form the constitution of the wings while the remaining two digits became sharpened talon. He was now a true dragon. Spike roared to the heavens, loosing his fiery breath as he did so. However, his call was drowned out by a deafening explosion as the wrecked power plant detonated. Flames licked the very sky and a red ripple erupted from the rubble, blasting down whatever remained of the plant and any structure near it. But it did not stop there! The flames spread across the nearby country, entrapping the crumbled city in a ring of fire. Spike spread his wings and leaped over the towering flames, crashing down on the rubble of the chard city. He snarled at the roaring flames were the power plant used to be, knowing that Destroyah was still in there. He was confident of his victory and prepared to face any challenge the demon could throw at him.

Then, out of the flames, two enormous draconic wings spread into the sky, clocked in blazing micro-oxygen energy. Spike's courage quickly melted away, replaced by fear. Each of Destroyah's monstrous wings were clearly larger than Spike's entire body, despite his growth spurt! Soon, the flames surrounding the collapsed plant faded, absorbed by the demonic kaiju as it finally revealed itself. Raising its head to the sky, Destroyah roared out to the heavens as the Earth below it trembled. Destroyah's final form was complete and more demonic than ever! Its hideous form was enough to scare even the boldest of ponies off and then there was his sheer power!

"Ooh, he looks even sicker in person! Me next to soak in radiation, me next!" Discord shouted out, excited by the appearance of the kaiju's final form. Celestia smashed her elbow into his side and said "You're not helping! Remember which side you are on!"

"Relax, relax! I was only kidding!"

Spike could sense the overwhelming power radiating from the creatures ghastly body; it was unimaginable! Though intimidated, Spike refused to let his friends down! Roaring to his new opponent, Spike lunged at Destroyah, claws and teeth extended, ready to kill. Destroyah simply chuckled as the pathetic dragon crashed into its torso, slashing left and right at the floral pattern upon its chest. Spike slashed repetitively at Destroyah's hide but got no where, his claws couldn't penetrate! Destroyah's sinister snarl rose through the air as it crashed its clawed hand on Spike's neck, yanking him off its body and tossing him to the floor.

"No!!!" Twilight cried out, fearful for Spike's life.

Destroyah raised its right foot and prepared to crush Spike's throat but the dragon's reflexes were quick and he managed to avoid the blow. However, the stop was so powerful, it pummeled Spike back to the floor! Destroyah marched on towards the dragon with slaughter in its eyes but Spike was not phased! He shot off his a fiery ball of flames at Destroyah's face, stunning the creature just long enough for him to strike again. Spike rushed up from the ground and attacked Destroyah's face while it was still confused, hoping that that part of the demon's body would be softer and easier to penetrate. Spike racked at Destroyah's face but still had no success penetrating its thorny, thick hide. Destroyah slashed at the dragon with his hands, try to get the slithering annoyance off his face. Just one false move and Spike's hind leg was in Destroyah's hand. The demon crashed Spike to the floor with great force, then swung him around and tossed him across the city. Spike's battered body bounced up and down as if shot away from the kaiju, finally coming to a haunt several miles away.

"No, my Spike!!!" Twilight was reduced to tears as she watched her beloved Spike tumble across the rough floor, beaten and battered by the kaiju of death.

Spike was now severely hurt and in need of medical care but there was nothing anyone could do or him now, he had to press on! Spike rose himself slowly, barely able to stand up and tried to face his foe. Destroyah roared at its beaten challenger and charged Spike, rushing towards him with heavy strides. Destroyah crashed its head down, hoping to impale Spike but the dragon evaded the blow and struck at Destroyah's neck, praying that his long fangs would do the trick. Destroyah raised himself and stretched his arms back, trying to get rid of the pestering dragon. Finally, Destroyah dropped his claws as his tail coiled, cocking into a strike position. Destroyah's crescent tale lashed out at Spike, latching onto his neck and smashing him to the floor. Soon the kaiju's tail began to shine as it started draining the life force of Spike. However, it was not done with Spike just yet! Destroyah's tail swiveled back and forth, smashing Spike left and right into the ground with massive amounts of force. Finally Destroyah let go, smashing Spike into a crater behind before doing so. At this point, Twilight was bawling uncontrollably, she couldn't understand how a creature could be so cruel, especially to her Spike.

All of the ponies standing by were so drawn into the battle, they took little notice to the peculiar events taking place at the power plant.

Destroyah turned to see his foe at the bottom of a great crater before him, utterly defeated. Destroyah's heartless eyes gazed upon Spike's limp body as its tail reach out to latch onto Spike's neck. However, Spike opened his slight eye just in time and chomped down on the kaiju's tail! Destroyah, stunned and confused, soon turned its emotions to rage as it quickly turn about and tossed Spike into the horizon. Twilight screamed at the sight of this, fearing the death of her beloved assistant. The others tried to comfort her but their own sorrows for poor Spike were also growing. Only Discord stood there, unfazed and eager to see the outcomes of this 'entertaining' battle.

"Come on you coward! Come back and fight like a dragon!"

"You insensitive fool, look at the horrors that beast has caused and yet you applaud it?!" Celestia was clearly enraged by Discord's insensitive behavior.

"What, can't I have some entertainment?!"

"This is not entertainment, this is murder!"

"Call it what you want, it's still fun to watch.."

Celestia was aghast to Discord's comment but she knew there was nothing she could do about it so she returned to comfort Twilight, hoping that Spike was still alive and wise enough to stay away.

Destroyah roared to the skies, believing it was victorious. But then, out of the sun, Spike shot through the sky, loosing his flaming breath as he began to twirl, turning into a blazing ball of fire hurdling straight for Destroyah! The demon kaiju loved to torment its prey but this pathetic maggot was now getting in its nerves, this had to end! Destroyah was done with non-fatal attacks, it was going to end that dragon! Charging laser horn, its central horn blazed with crimson micro-oxygen energy as it prepared for impact. Spike screamed out as his foe just before the two met with a massive explosion. All the ponies, and Discord as well, store in complete awe at the sheer bower of the collision, waiting to see the outcome. Smoke shaded the warriors as Twilight trembled. Soon the smoke cleared and Twilight's fears were proven. Destroyah stood there, motionless, with Spike's body slumped over its head. Destroyah then began to move, lowered its head and pulling Spike's lifeless body off its central horn, letting it crash to the ground with a mighty thud. Destroyah roared out to the skies as blood dripped down onto its forehead from its blood-smeared horn. Equestria's champion had fallen and Destroyah was not even scratched! The ponies stood in utter silence, all reduced to tears, including Celestia and her sister, Luna, as the demonic kaiju towered over its fallen foe. Destroyah roared out once again then gazed down on Spike's lifeless corps, striking it with its foot to make sure he was dead. His limp limbs slumped over the twisted body as it slowly turned from the force of the kick. Convinced he was dead, Destroyah opened its deadly jaws and extended its claws as it crashed head-first into Spike's body, tearing out huge chucks of flesh with every bite! Even Luna, mistress of darkness, was disgusted by the demon's display of savagery. Destroyah continued to tear through the carcass when something caught its attention, a deafening roar and not its own! The ponies turned their attention back to the flames were the power plant used to be, noticing a strange blur above the fire line. This haze was not that of smoke, it was something much different, a sight not familiar to any of them, not even Discord! Destroyah looked back to see what the sound was but say nothing. It must have been its head playing tricks in it. It turned back around and continued feasting. Then the noise echoed again! It was like a leather glove being pulled down a base instrument. Destroyah knew that hideous call anywhere, it couldn't be?! Out from the blur, a monstrous figure passed into Equestria, an enormous saurian covered in pitch-black scales. The creature's square face was huge and his massive jaws were filled with dagger-like teeth. Its eyes blazed a crimson red as its immense, pale dorsal spines began glowing a vibrant blue. Its maw filled with the same energy and the creature loosed it towards Destroyah, sending the demon crashing to the floor. The ponies were astounded by this monster's sheer power, how could it topple the mighty Destroyah! Destroyah rose its head to see its greatest nightmare before it.

"No! It can't be! You were killed with the rest of me all those years ago?! This can't be happening!"

"Oh god!"

"What?! What is it Discord?!"

"The King of Monsters has entered Equestria! Godzilla has arrived!"

Some may ask how Discord knows all of this. When Godzilla went nuclear he wiped most life from the planet, but some survived. It was from this great destruction Discord was born. The remaining life told of their imprint on the world before going extinct. Discord then formed Equestria.
