Sunset was in the war room with Celestia, Luna and Discord. Celestia frowned “We brought you here for a reason Sunset.”

Discord nodded “Unfortunately our enemy King Sombra has grown bold, to think he would launch an assault on Canterlot like this.”

Sunset frowned “Why haven’t you caught him yet how is he a king, he dens;’t rule anything?’

Luna sighed “He proclaimed himself king two centuries ago, he believes I am bound by my sister, he wishes to slay her so we can rule as King and Queen” she then growled “It’s utter nonsense, my sister has not bound me to anything!”

Celestia grimaced “He is crafty as well, his small guerilla forces attack us at all different locations. Still even for him this increased boldness is strange, he had no plan of attack…what made him attack us so suddenly, it was unplanned.”

Now Sunset was smart, what changed recently. Her eyes widened “He was coming for me, he wanted my soul.” She then frowned as she summoned her red heart shaped soul “He want this badly… hmm.”

Luna frowned “That doesn’t explain how we can take him out.”

Sunset frowned “Simple, I bait him out. He wants me, so I face him a lone in a duel to the death. If I win it would be all over.”

Celestia growled “But if he wins, he could take us all out! It’s too risky, we need to find a safer way!” Luna nodded in agreement.

Discord turned to Celestia and Luna with a frown “It’s not as simple as that, we have tried your safer way. I’ve even tried to confront him directly but he eluded me, this is the only option other than more waiting. He has attacked us here in our base of power, if we don’t do something now everyone pony or not will think we are weak.”

Sunset growled “I’m doing this whether or not you like it! If you try to stop me the only question is how many bodies there are going to be when I’m done!”

Luna stepped in front of her “Don’t make me stop you, I can’t allow…”

Sunset slammed her fist into Luna’s jaw sending her into the wall before collapsing to the floor with a thud. Celestia growled as her horn glowed “How dare you attack my sister!”

Sunset soul returned to her body as a red plate armour formed on her body from head to toe. She summoned a red sword in her hand “I like Luna, she’s my friend that’s why she’s unconscious against the wall instead of impaled with a blade. You on the other hand are not in the same boat, so stand aside before things get violent. I’d rather not explain to Luna and Sunshine why I killed you.”

Celestia growled “You wouldn’t dare!”

Sunset let out a dark laugh “You forget one thing. I’m evil, and you’re in my way. Killing you will be just another life compared to the thousands I’ve killed. So stand down!”

Discord clicked his claws pulling Celestia out of the way of the determined human “Go, I’ll keep these two occupied.”

Sunset stormed out the castle her armour darkening this time turning completely as her sword turned black. Ponies looked at the girl who was on a mission, Sunset moved through the fine streets of Canterlot ended up on a dirt road heading out of town. She read a sing, one such sign read ‘Everglade Forest.’

Sunset headed towards the forest, she entered the forest and took a seat on a stump as she waited. A few minutes later a stallion with a dark grey coat approached his red irises were surrounded by green sclera as dark purple mist emitted from his eyes, Sunset grinned “I figured you would come out here if I waited long enough, Sombra.”

Sombra frowned “I’m assuming this is a trap, the Princesses are going to jump out and ambush me then or maybe that strange chaotic creature. He is far more powerful than both of them.”

Sunset raised an eyebrow “I didn’t know how powerful Discord was..” she then shrugged “I assume Luna is still unconscious and Discord is keeping both of them from doing anything. This is between you and me, today we decide the future.”

Sombra grinned “I like your style, so let’s end this” He summoned a pitch black blade of his own and rushed at Sunset. Sunset’s blade met his the two grinning at each other as they tried to push the other away, Sombra pushed hard “I will not lose to a goody two shoes like you.”

Sunset roared sending him flying with a fierce push of her own blade “I have killed so many humans on the surface, you have no idea just who you’re dealing with! I’m evil damn it, I kill with no remorse no pity!”

Sombra leapt back sending a wave of dark crystals at her only for a single swing of Sunset’s sword to tear them to shreds. Sombra growled “I won’t lose, here I can’t! It is my right to rule this land with Princess Luna at my side!” Hundreds of dark crystals formed in the air, he roared “Give me your soul!”

He grinned as the crystals flew forward tearing the tress around them apart. A huge amount of dust had formed around the area, his eyes widened as the dust cleared. A huge dark barrier was sitting there, then several dark tendril grabbed Sombra. Sunset then stepped out as a small opening in the dark barrier. Sombra growled “Let me go!”

Sunset shrugged “No, I’m going to kill you now.” Sombra let out a scream of pain as the shadow tore him into several pieces. Sunset then obliterated the piece with a dark red blast.

Meanwhile in the castle Discord had Celestia bound and gagged in the corner, Luna groaned as she got to her hooves. She then looked around in a panic “Where’s Sunset?!” She then blinked “Also why is my sister bound in the corner?”

Discord frowned “Well the second question is simple, Sunset is evil. She threatened to kill her, as for your first well Sombra’s dark magic signature is gone but Sunset’s is pulsating stronger than ever.”

Luna’s jaw dropped “That’s impossible, she shouldn’t have been able to beat Sombra!”

Sunset entered the room with a grin “Says who?” Sunset revelled in the shocked expressions of everypony in the room.
