Her Last Letter

Dear Princess Celestia,

Please read this aloud to everypony mentioned in the letter, and those close to me.

I figured that I started out with a letter; I should end with one, too. If Sombra hasn't already told you, I tried returning to my friends. My best friends. Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie. He stole them and brought them to the Crystal Empire. I wouldn't have met them if it weren't for you. If it weren't for you, I'd still be a unicorn, head in the clouds, or rather books. Not paying attention to anything or anyone. I wouldn't be here, bleeding out to my death. But I wouldn't change a single thing. Not one.

The day I met my now-friends, I did not like them. I just wanted to return to my studies in Canterlot. And I'll have to admit it, I was a bit pissed at you for sending me away from the library. It was my home, you know? I loved it there. But you introduced me to the best ponies in my whole life. They are everything to me, and that's the reason I tried to go back to them. My only regret is that I didn't get more time to spend with them. I'm so thankful you sent me away, even though I know it was hard for you.

Make sure to tell them I love them, okay? My friends. I never got to say goodbye, never even saw them before Sombra found me. I'll miss them. If that's possible, once you're dead. I'll probably find some way to miss them.

To my bright and colorful friend, Pinkie Pie, you were the funniest of our group. Even when I was done, you found a way to make me laugh. And though I yelled at you for putting hot sauce in my drink the night we met, I secretly enjoyed your creativeness, and in truth, I hoped to see it again. And I did. You kept my life exciting with parties here and there, always keeping up the positivity and our moral. Thank you. Thank you for making me smile and laugh, all the time.

To my kind and loving friend, Fluttershy, you were the one I liked most when I met you. Though I liked everypony else (or rather, I came to), you were the one who showed me pure kindness when we first met. Though you were a little overexcited than usual upon meeting Spike, I had a good idea you would be a great friend, and you were. Thank you, for your kindness helped me become kinder than the stuck up pony I was back in Canterlot.

To my faithful friend, Applejack, you were there, always. You actually were there too much, and that's not a bad thing. Remember when you tried to buck the whole orchard by yourself? It takes a hard working pony to even stomach the thought of doing that, yet you tried, to help out your family (and maybe it was a little for yourself, to make yourself prideful, but, like, whatever). I always appreciated your hard working side and your true honesty. Thank you for teaching me to learn to work hard, and just becoming a better pony in general.

Rainbow Dash, you were always loyal and adventurous. Although sometimes your cocky side came out a little too much, just enough to annoy the rest of our group, you always stayed loyal to us, and would never sacrifice us for anything. Except maybe a good Daring Do book. Well, no, you wouldn't do that (except for the time you almost did at the trading fair in Rainbow Falls). But it's not time to look upon that, it's a time to look upon that you still realized what was wrong and righted it. You taught me to be strong and adventurous, and definitely loyal, and for that, I thank you.

Rarity, you were so generous. Of course you were, you were practically born in your element, what, with making dresses all the time for everypony. Though someponies often saw you as shall or selfish, I knew you were neither, and you truly embraced the generous side of you, especially with your friends, and often with strangers. I learned to become more generous with my time and help after being introduced to you, so thank you.

Now, Spike. You were always my little brother. You were always there for me, and put up with me when I was that annoying little pony back in Canterlot. You were almost as loyal as Rainbow, and even just as much! Thank you, so, so much. You helped me in a way no other pony could.

Now time for talk about my big brother, and his wife. You guys were so nice to me, and I can't thank you enough for it. You helped me grow in ways that I didn't know possible.

I could go on and on about other ponies and the ways they've helped me grow, but it's time for a very important pony to talk about.

You, Princess Celestia. You were the best mentor I could ask for. I am so thankful you sent me away to Ponyville, and that you educated me on magic and took me on as your own student.

Everything you've done helped me grow and grow, into becoming this alicorn you see today. Well perhaps, you won't see me. So for that, thank you, for everything.

I'm currently lying on the cold stone ground of the border of Equestria and Celestia knows where. I haven't much time left, i can feel the life draining from my body. The blood's seeping out, I can't make it stop...

I have a few moments left. I love you all, and I have no clue what I would do without you all. You're my bestest friends, mentor, siblings, everything. I am so grateful that all of you were in my life. I hope you all escape Sombra's clutches and regrow Equestria again. I wish I could have seen and watched it grow again, but alas, I cannot. Goodbye, my dear friends, I hope to see you again, someday, sometime, if possible.

Author's Note

OoOOohHhkay. Wow. This was surprisingly harder to write than I thought. I can barely stomach the idea of Twilight leaving the world of Equestria, but... Wow, okay. Alright. Well, I hope you enjoyed! Also, please give feedback, it is much needed.
