Marenobyl Diaries

Twilight was the only one who knew how to drive the metal contraption the princess called a Van. Everyone protested at the idea of having to pile into this....thing... confined to such a small space for the trip. Well they protested until the  princess told them that it was an almost 350km journey. The farthest any of them have ever traveled was the 5km to Canterlot or the 3km to Cloudsdale. Even to Manehattan, Appaloosa and Los Pegasus is only 60km each way.

"Twilight, how long til we get to this place?" Pinkie asked once again.....for the third time in the last 5 minutes.

"For the last time, I don't know Pinkie!" She said as loud and clear as she could without upsetting her friend and causing another one of her crazy Pinkie-is-depressed freak outs. "Viktoriya, how long until we reach Marenobyl?"

"Приблизно в 20 км доки ми не досягнемо зони відчуження. Потім кілька військових контрольно-пропускних пунктах і у нас буде ще 30 км, поки ми не досягнемо міста." Viktoriya said coldly as she looked out her side window.

"What!? Another 50km!" Rainbow Dash was starting to get restless, not liking having to be constrained by her seat belt. Or having to be sandwiched between Rarity and Pinkie Pie. "Isn't there a faster route to this damn place!?"

"Якби був швидкий маршрут, ви дійсно думаєте, що я сидів би тут того, щоб отримати крикнув по шибайголова, як ви ще на 50 кілограмів!" Viktoriya snapped at Rainbow, which everyone knew would spark her temper. Well at least she isn't drunk and fighting with someone this time...

"Hothead! Oh that's it, bring it on you punk bitch. We're going to throw down right here and now!"

"Принесіть його на тебе ублюдок лесбіянки пизда!" They started to unbuckle and throw punches back and forth over the seats. They only stopped when Twilight slammed on the brakes and restrained both of them with her magic.

"Both of you better stop before I kick both your asses!" She was definitely not in the mood for this shit.

"Образотворче ..... мама." They both said at the same time, right before giving each other a small laugh.

Twilight sighed as the van rolled up to a small building with a gate blocking the rest of the road. There were about 20 armed troops guarding the gate and one walking towards the van with a hoof up signalling them to stop.

Twilight stopped the car as the stallion approached the drivers window, looking over the hunk of junk like it was merely  just an eye sore and nothing more.

"Це королівський тільки зони, закритої для всіх. Ви повинні включити цю ... річ ... навколо негайно і повернутися туди, де ви прийшли." The guard said in his stern voice and thick Stalliongrad accent.

"Sir." Twilight said handing him the paper the princess had given her. "We have special permission to be here."

The guard took the paper and skimmed through it until he saw Celestia's signature sitting on the bottom line right next to the royal seal.

"Це видається цілком обгрунтованим.." He said as he handed the paper back to Twilight, a look of concern and fear taking over his once stern stare. "Ви можете пройти, але повернуся до заходу і ні за яких обставин йти в будь-якому з будівель відзначений знаком X."

"Yes sir." She said, slamming the van into gear before darting off past the gates and further towards the town.

Celestia sat in the throne room of the castle with a half hearted look on her face. What have I done, I've not only sent the Elements of Harmony to the most dangerous place in Equestria, but I didn't think to tell them about the...the. She couldn't even finish her own thought without tears falling from her cheeks.

Luna walked into the throne room with her normal guards following close behind. She didn't even have to look at her sister before she knew something was digging at her emotions.

"Sister, what hast thou so upset?" Luna asked the saddened alicorn sitting on her throne.

"I think I have made a terrible mistake sending them to...that place."

"Sister, you cannot regret the things thou hast done in the past. If you do you may never be able to forgive thine self and thou shalt pine away."

Celestia sighed at her sisters words. She knew she was right, but even she could not fight the tears that fell as she started to speak again.

"Luna, there is something I have never even told you about Marenobyl, something far more horrifying than anything you know about it could ever be."

"What is thou talking about, dear sister?"

"There is something far worse than I ever could have imagined there.....and I think Twilight and the others will....change in that place." She barely finished her sentence before she broke down crying into her sisters shoulder. "Luna, what have I done."

50 years ago

9:45 pm

"Fluttershy, time to wake up sweetie." Her mother gently nudged her daughters shoulder with her hoof.

"Hmmm... five more minutes mommy."She said as she rolled to the other side of the bed holding a stuffed bunny in her hooves

"No, time to get up. Don't you want to go surprise your father like we talked about?"

"Mhmm...."

"Then get up, or do I have to tickle you out of bed." She barely finished her sentence before she lunged at Fluttershy, planting her hooves softly on her stomach and started to tickle her.

Fluttershy burst out laughing. "Mommy! HAHAHA...S-Stop it HAHAH!" She rolled trying to move away from her mother grip as she rolled out of bed.

"So, your finally up." Her mother smiled at her child

"Yep yep yep!" She said as she flew over into her mothers arms.

"Hehe, go get ready. I want us to get there before midnight, ok?"

"Ok mommy. I love you." She said planting a kiss on her mothers cheek before flying off to the bathroom.

I swear that child is going to do great things one day Her mother thought as she began to straighten up the room.

"Sister, please say that thou is not being serious!"

"No, Luna. This is the most serious thing I have ever said to anyone."

"Why would you hide something like this!? That place needs to be fire bombed or something. If that kind of evil and hatred resides there, It must be destroyed!"

"I know, Luna. Trust me I do, but I cannot destroy what cannot be killed. I just hope that the Elements are more capable of subduing it than....I was." Celestia removed the glove from her hoof and Luna's eyes lit up in horror.

Her flesh was rotted, bloodied and moving on its own.
