My Little Pony Elder Scrolls: Liberation of the Kingdom
Interlude 5: Armistice
Previous ChapterNext ChapterShortly after the battle of Ponyville, the heroes had returned to Canterlot to straighten everything out. Emperor Tiber Septim, his brother Agnorith Septim the Imperial Legion army, and the armies from their bases by the three councils followed were following right behind the heroes to Canterlot. The citizens of Canterlot were surprised and amazed to see a lot of humans, elves, and beastfolk in brown armor and gray armor coming with the heroes. Celestia reassured them that they were here for the negotiations. Celestia ordered the ponies to leave the throne room while she and the heroes have a meeting with the Emperor, and his brother. After about several hours of negotiations, an Armistice was signed (similar to the one signed in Morrowind but have a little different terms) and they have reached an agreement.
Equestria's Terms
These were generally of cultural and religious nature and are as follows:
- Allowing the ponies to define and preserve their own laws and customs:
- Local Equestrian guards and the Equestrian Law
- Equestrian Religious practices are recognized as a faith by the Empire
- Outlawing of Neo-Jewelius (punishable by death, life, or a number of years depending on how serious it can be)
- Great Equestrians are given control over most local government functions
Empire's Terms
These were generally of economic and military nature and are as follows:
- Equestria is ruled by a figurehead King or Queen, chosen directly by the Emperor or Empress
- The Empire is allowed to have a constant military presence in Equestria (including manned forts)
- Mages Guild is given monopoly on all public magical services
- An Imperial charter is needed to deal with ore in the Diamond dogs mines and Equestrian artifacts
- With the exception of Equestrian Law, Equestria is governed under Imperial Law
After the negotiations were over, the Emperor, his son, his brother, their Legions, and the three armies from their bases, including Flawless Glow and Kagrenac II are invited to a wedding, and were given special jobs for the preparations and the ceremony. Shackle, Hildread, and Vivian confessed to their involvement in Jewelius’s schemes. With Jewelius’s corruption revealed and a very heartfelt apology speech by Celestia, Shining Armor, and the Mane Six the citizens of Canterlot welcomed them all back with open hooves and even offered a few apologies of their own for their support to the usurper. Hildread, Vivian, and other supporters of Jewelius received a 3 year imprisonment in the dungeons of Canterlot, Shackle felt so guilty for her part that she turned herself in and pleaded her case, and promised that she would be a better and wiser pony after she served her time, which is shortened to 2 years. As for the Royal Guards, the ones they were released by Jewelius were fired and put back into prison for life. A memorial for those purged by Jewelius and one who was thrown out of the throne room window was held. The alicorns and one human were reinstated as the rulers of Canterlot, Shining Armor got his title of Captain of the Guard, and everypony was getting ready for the royal wedding that should’ve happened a week ago. Now that she and her brother had reconciled, Twilight Sparkle was given her rightful and well-deserved position as the groom’s best mare. Twilight’s friends had apologized to the original bridesmaids and offered their positions back. However, the three mares were so touched by the Five’s apology that they decided to let them keep the titles. Now that all that was taken care of, it finally time to get the real wedding under way. Twilight Sparkle, Princess Cadance, Tiber Septim, and Agnorith Septim had overseen the preparations personally, from Applejack’s baked goods to Pinkie Pie’s reception party, and she really loved what she had seen. Twilight’s friends noticed an extremely significant difference in her behavior compared to the imposter’s, which made them feel even more ashamed for not listening to her. But after a few more heartfelt apologies, their friendship was stronger than ever.
As for Sapphire Glow, she was able to go to the wedding although she was traumatized by the Jewelius’s threat.
