A year had passed.Tim was still working at Hollywood Division.He moved back into his old house.Micheal Davis was sent to The California State Prison at San Quentin.In the meantime.Tim was getting ready to go to the other side of the portal.He didn't know what to expect,so he made preperations.Like his dad said,he was taking his time,and keeping quiet.

First off he went to the garage and found his old army footlocker.Tim opened it and found what he would need.Tim brought out A Colt AR-15 Semi Automatic version of The M-4 RIS Carbine in 5.56mm,A Sig-Sauer Sigpro SP2022 in 9mm.A Colt Combat Commander in .45ACP.A short barreled Remington M-870 .12ga pump shotgun.A Heckler & Koch 91 7.62mm Semi Auto Rifle.And A Remington M700 Sniper Rifle.His combat knife and his cammies.And boots.Tim also went to buy ammo,a small amount at a time.He found his old Radio Flyer Red Wagon,with panel truck style sides.Tim would use that to help with supplies and ammo.Tim would take everything to Big Bear.And put it in the cabin.

Tim also kept tabs on Micheal Davis.The homeless vet who plead guilty to Tim's dads murder.Tim wanted to help him,but he didn't know how.Tim also went to Hollywood Division and worked his shift during his workweek.To keep up appearances.Then the time came.Tim knew he could wait no longer.It was time to go.He grabbed a few more thing,including his dads Colt Python,he was given after Pete's funeral.Along with his badge.Tim then got into his truck and drove to the cabin.

When Tim arrived he went into the cabin.He changed hanged into his BDUs and and load bearing vest.Then he got his weapons.His SigPro he put in his thigh holster on his right.HIs Colt Commander in a holster in the front of the vest.His dads Colt in a holster on his back.Tim then loaded up his AR-15 and Shotgun.Tim also checked the wagon.He placed a crate of ammo.His Mil-Spec Laptop computer,that he spent a year up loading movies,TV shows and Music.And games,as well as Books he found on line.And a suitcase.Tim then grabbed the casefile.Last thing was the amulet..

Tim was now ready.He placed the amulet on a tree stump out side. as he opened the amulets wings and the beam from the crystal opened the portal.Tim pushed the wagon in first.As soon as he was about to step thru.An unmarked Ford Crown Victoria drove up.It was Nacho.Who got out of the car.

Tim asked,"Hey Tio.Que pasa?"

Nacho replied,"You tell me.What are you doing?And what is this??"

Tim replied,"I don't know Tio,but it's where I have to go."

Nacho said,"And what do you think you will find.Wherever there is?"

Tim answered,"Debbie Wilkins and her son.I'm finishing this case.For my dad."

Nacho then said,"Listen to yourself pendejo.Theres is nothing there.You are just like your dad.It was all of this that got him killed."

Tim replied,"My dad believed in this case.He also knows that Debbie Wilkins and her boy are there.And I am going to find them."

Nacho then drew his Beretta M92F 9mm pistol,cocking the hammer and said,"I cant let you do this."

Tim then asked,"Tio.What the hell are you doing?"

Nacho replied."I'm trying to save your life muchaco.No don't move."

Just then 3 masked figures emerged from the forest.They were armed with swords.One of the figures said,"Well done Captain Rojas.You may leave.We will finish here."

Nacho asked,"What the hell are you talking about??Your master promised not to hurt him."

The masked figure replied,The Master has changed his mind.

The lead figure then turned and stabbed Nacho in the side.Tim saw this and in a rage raised his AR and fired killing all 3.Tim ran up to Nacho and checked him.And saw Nachos hand over a bloody wound.

Tim said,"Tio.I'll call for paramedics."

Nacho replied,"No.They wont make it."

Nacho moved his hand.The blood was black.The blade had gone into his liver.

Tim asked,"Tio.Tell me.Did these guys kill my dad?"

Nacho nodded.And said,"They're master did."

Tim said,"And you knew about??"

Nacho with tears in his eyes said,"Yes,but I didn't think they would kill him.Your dad was my best friend.I was only trying to protect him.And you."

Tim asked,"Why Tio??"

Nacho replied,"Money,but I did it to help your dad,after your mom got sick.The bills were just too much for your dad to handle.They ate his insurance and almost his whole pension.I was such a tonto.I should have known what I got myself into.Please forgive me Tim."

Just as Tim was about to answer,both heard a rustling sound in the nearby bushes.Nacho knew what it meant.

Nacho picked up his gun and said,"Tim.There isn't much time.There are more coming.You need to go thru the portal now."

Tim replied,"No Tio.I won't leave you here to die.And I do forgive you."

Nacho smiled a sad smile and replied,"Tim.There's nothing you can do.I'm already dead,but before I go to God.I can make this right.Now go.Go."

Tim reluctantly went thru the portal,and saw more figures come up on Nacho.Nacho gathered the rest of his strength and stood up.Just as he was about to go back to help him.Tim saw Nacho point his gun at the amulet and fired.The crystal in the center was shattered and the portal closed.

Tim shed tears then said,"Tio."

On the other side,the figures walked up with swords drawn and Nacho walked to the propane gas tank and used his gun and severed the gas line.Nacho then crossed himself.

Nacho then said with tears in his eyes,Hail Mary.Full of grace.The lord is with thee.Blessed art thou among women.And blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.Holy Mary.Mother of God.Pray for us sinners.Now and at the hour of our death......Amen.......Esperanza.Miguel.I love you both."

Nacho then pulled the trigger and the gunshot blew the gas tank,killing him and the figures.

On the other side Tim was now in.He looked around and saw he was in a forest.Tim made sure had had everything,he said to himself,Well Dad.I'm here.I don't know what I'm gonna find,but I'll do my best.And uhhh.Don't be too hard on Uncle Nacho.His heart was in the right place.

With that.Tim checked his guns and began walking deeper into the forest.Where it would lead him.He didn't know.few hours later,feeling hungry and thristy.Tim decided to stop and have some food.Tim found an old tree stump and sat down.and pulled out and MRE from his pack.Tim ate his food and water.Then after he ate.Tim got up and began walking again,when he heard a yell and ran to it.What Tim would find would shock him.
