Vlog One: Cooking With Laura

My POV:

One day in the kitchen, I was setting up my ingredients has I placed the flour beside the measuring cup which was meant for the flour. I smiled and saw everything was ready, now I needed to turn on the recorder. I was wearing a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt with my black cross cutie mark, a pair of my best sneakers that were the colours of a dark blue and white. My hair was in a short pony-tail so that my dead hairs doesn't land into the batter nor on the floor. I continue to smile as I finally turn on the camera.

I quickly ran behind the counter as the small light which was the colour green came on, I said as the recorder was running...

"Hey, there my cutie-angels! It's me, Laura! And today we are going to make a delicious chocolate cake with the best purple buttercream icing you'll ever see!"

I began to get a large bowl as I get my ingredients, like eggs or milk. I settled them down as I said...

"We first put two cups of all purpose flour."

I began to open the flour, but however... it couldn't open. I grumbled as I tried to open the bag till I finally opened it as the flour spilled all over my apron and even some on my face. I blushed as I coughed a bit as the flour came out of my mouth. Later in my video, I was done with the cake batter as it had a chocolatey consistency and it even too smelled like chocolate. I began to get out a medium sized pan, as it was too square shaped.

"Now for this step, you carefully and slowly put the batter into your pan."

I smiled as I got out my trusting whisk which was obviously a beautiful silver colour and I began to pick up the bowel filled with the batter and slowly used my utensil to put the batter in. Later, I put the cake pan into the oven as I said...

"We put the oven for twenty minutes and now my cutie-angels! We shall make our icing... which is buttercream with the delicious purple food colouring!"

The recorder turned off on its own as I settled it to ten minutes. I sighed happily as I began to get out my ingredients for my frosting till I could hear a hippie's voice...

"Heya Laur."

I turned my head to see my boyfriend, Zephyr Breeze. He was wearing a different outfit since too it was a hot summer day and it was a bit... "Breezy" outside, he was wearing a green shirt with the symbol of his cutie mark, a pair of jeans which were a bit ripped. And too, he was wearing some brown sandals as his hair was in his usual bun... but instead of an elastic band or a hair tie... it was chopsticks. Yes, chopsticks because since he was wearing them, it was a new trend in Canterlot High school.

He came to me as he picked me up, thankfully too I had my ingredients which was butter and vanilla extract. I yelled...

"Zephyr Breeze! Put me down!"

"Nah..."

He said as he kissed my lips, blush came across my face as I kissed back. I said...

"So... you came for my video?"

"Oh, wait you're doing a video? Of what?"

"Well, a cooking video... or I should call it a baking video."

He turned his head as he saw the mess in the kitchen, there was flour on the floor due to the incident, some egg shells and even some spilt sugar on the counter. He turned his head to me, he gave me a crooked eyebrow and a face like "Really?". A small squee came from my mouth and lightly giggled, in a worrisome way. Later on, we cleaned the kitchen, which took us almost five minutes. Zephyr sighed as he kissed the back of my head, a blushed as I held onto his aqua blue hand as I remembered something... the icing sugar for my buttercream... and even my purple food colouring!

I let go Zephyr's hand, as I began to search for some icing sugar... but it wasn't there. I began to panic as I realised the video is gonna be ruined. I heard a beep coming from the stove which was my cake. I settled on my white oven mittens as I got the cake out of the oven, which looked amazingly good! I settled it on top of a cooling rack as I got off my mittens, I settled them beside the rack and continued to search for my last two ingredients. Zephyr too was looking as he finally found it.

It was the purple food colouring and the icing sugar. It was underneath the sink as he saw bags of my secret stash which had candy's, chips, chocolates, you name. But dang it Zephyr! He got them out as he used his foot to the close the door, he settled them on the counter as he said...

"You know Laur girl... you shouldn't panic..."

"Why?!"

I yelled till a turned my eyes to see... my ingredients! I gasped happily as I ran to Zephyr Breeze as I hugged him. I too later on kissed his lips as he kissed back... oh how I love him! Minutes went by as the video was done, I felt exhausted from the hassle I went through but now I did it! All I needed now was to edit the video and put in the intro and even too put in a funny blooper at the end. I was on the sofa as I was on my laptop, I began to edit the video. Zephyr came into the living room holding two plates that had the cake I made.

I yawned a bit as I felt another kiss on my cheek, I turned my head to see him as I smiled. I put my laptop on the coffee table as I gently grabbed the plate from him, I smiled at the piece and used my fork to stab it through, I took a bite and it wasn't... that bad. A bit crumbly but not bad, Zephyr blushed as he sighed peacefully. I don't know what he was he was thinking... probably about me. He took a bite too as I put my cake on the coffee table, I grabbed my laptop and began to edit once more.

I lied down on Zephyr's lap and I sighed as I began to hum, the voice I had was a bit cute as I sung happily. Being with him made me smile and even too... eh, look away from him. I felt his hand go through my hair which felt great to me. He asked...

"So, when is it gonna be done?"

I looked up at him as I said...

"The editing? Soon, perhaps two hours or so."

I saw him pout as he whined...

"Oh come on.."

I jumped a bit, I hated it when he whined about something... even if he wanted to do something. Till he said which made me jump from the sofa...

"We have to do it now..."

I crooked an eyebrow as continued to look at him... what do you mean by now? I asked...

"What do you mean?"

"You know... go to the mall?"

A small squee came from his mouth. A giggle came from my mouth as I said...

"Man, you're cute all in all... but you're a pain in the butt sometimes."

I said as I gently rubbed his chin. And so, since the video was made, I successfully uploaded my video after editing for almost two hours, and two good things happened... one, me and Zephyr Breeze went to the mall and hung out. Even too, since he was generous, he bought me a new pair of cheap headphones... what a sweetie. Secondly, my video finally got about two thousand views! Awesome ain't it?
