Playing With Fire

All the girls recieved a text message. When they opened it, it was from someone who named themselves T.

"Better stop looking who did that or someone you care about is next.
-T"

"So it is Trixie!" Pinkie concluded.

"But why would she make her own dissappearance?" Applejack was cofused.

"She was always the one who loved to make a show" Rainbow explained.

"But there has to be something more," Twilight didn't agree. "Something we are missing here."

"Nope. Pretty sure it is her." Rainbow was sure.

"Wouldn't that be too obvious?" Sunset also doubted. "Why would she sign herself with her letter then?"

"I don't know," Rarity said. "I am kinda scared because of this threat. Maybe we should just stop and let the police finish it?"

"But you will still be their suspect" Applejack added. "And if we tell them about hats Sweetie Belle will be included too. If this really is Trixie then she can not really do much, right?"

"We do not know for sure that it is Trixie."

"What should we do then?" Applejack asked.

"I have an idea. Let's break into office's in school and look at the cameras!" Sunset suggested.

"No way! We can't break into it!" Twilight was being reasonable.

"Oh come on!" Rainbow complained. "It is the best way to find out what exactly happened!"

"Even if we did, we would get caught!"

"Then let's do it at night! No one will be in school then."

Fluttershy gulped. "At night? In a school where someone was kidnapped in the middle of the day?"

"Don't worry, dear, all of us will be there, too!" Rarity tried to calm her down.

Twilight sighed. "Fine, when will we do it?"

Later, during night

"Oh, I have a bad feeling about this!" Fluttershy said.

"Tell me about it!" Twilight replied. "I am scared we will get caught."

"Oh come on!" Rainbow interrupted. "You will just delete the footage when we are here. No worries."

"No worries for you maybe" Fluttershy was scared. "This place is super scary at dark."

"You got that right!" Applejack was looking around scared with her flashlight.

Rainbow looked at her. "Are you scared, Aj?"

"What? Me? Huh, pft, nooo! Why would I... be...scared?" Applejack was embarrased.

"It is normal to be scared, you don't have to be embarrassed of it."

Rainbow Dash took her hand.

"Does that help?" Rainbow casually asked.

"Uh, yes. Thanks." Applejack smiled at her and she nodded and gave small smile back.

Seeing Applejack didn't listen to her advice about staying away from jocks, Twilight facepalmed.

The girls entered the office.

"Alright, let me just check the cameras" Twilight said.

The girls gathered around Twilight.

"Guys?" Twilight was terrified. "Someone is here! They are coming to office!"

"Quick! Turn it off! Everyone hide!" Rainbow said.

"I can't turn it off that fast, they are just around the corner!"

"WHAT?!" Applejack was in panic.

Suddenly a mysterious figure appeared.

All the girls jumped on him.

"Ah!" the person screamed.

Twilight turned the lights on.

"Professor Discord?!" everyone was shocked.

"Who?" Applejack did not recognize him.

"Ouch!" Discord said.

"Phew!" everyone was relieved.

"Why? What is all of this?" Discord was confused.

"Heh, we just thought you were a crazy kidnapper" Rainbow explained.

"Yall do know he could still be a kidnapper?" Applejack was still confused.

"Nah, that's Discord!" Pinkie said.

"Did you just call a teacher only by name?!" Twilight said.

"That is okay, professor is too formal. I like it more when everyone calls me by name."

"He is a super nice teacher who gets on really well with everyone." Fluttershy explained to Applejack.

"I also heard he likes chaos in his classes." Twilight whispered.

"I do like chaos."

"And he heard me."

"What do you teach? I am new here so I do not really know."

"Pft, YOU are the new student? I thought it would be someone who looked more like a ner--- I teach phylosophy."

"Well, back to the cameras!" Twilight said.

"What are you all doing here anyway?"

"We could be asking you the same question" Applejack replied.

"This is my job. I have left my phone here so I came back for it."

"And we are trying to solve a mystery of why Trixie is gone" Fluttershy explained.

"Oh wow. Alright but if anyone asks I was not here and do not know anything."

"Alright." everyone confirmed.

"Please don't get caught!" he said while exiting.

After a short while Twilight found the footage. There was a random person who covered their head with the hat, a scarf and was wearing a big brown coat.

"They hid too well, we can't know who that is" Applejack said dissapointed.

"Wait a bit now, darling" Rarity stopped her. "We could pay more attention to who owns that coat and scarf!"

"But many people could have it."

"True but they probably don't have both."

"Great!" Rainbow Dash was sarcastic. "Our only lead is a bad quality photo of a scarf and a coat!"

All the girls got a text from an unknown number.

"I have told you to stay away. You are now responsible for what happens next.
-T"

"Seriously if this is Trixie I will personally push her" Rarity was angry.

"I am scared." Fluttershy commented.

"Who knows what that could even mean" Twilight said.

"We need to be careful." Applejack replied.

The girls successfully exited the school and deleted footage of them.

"Now what?" Rainbow asked.

"We head home and see what happens tomorrow?" Pinkie replied with a question.

"What if one of us or somebody we love dissappears?" Applejack was worrying.

"We need to be careful!" Sunset said.

They all went their homes.

The next morning. Applejack came to breakfast and was very relieved to see all of her family safe and well.

"Morning!" she happily greeted them. "Oh, pancakes?"

"Eyup!"

"So how is it in your new school Applejack?" Granny asked. "Did you finally find some friends?"

"Oh, it is great so far! And yes... I guess we are friends." Applejack smiled to herself at the thought of finally having real friends.

"And did someone caught your eye?" Apple Bloom was curious.

"What do ya mean?"

"Oh, you know what I mean!"

As she realized what Apple Bloom was asking she quickly replied, "yes! I mean no! I mean maybe!"

"So someone did, I knew you are happier and up in the clouds!"

"We have only known each other for 2 days, but I guess you can say someone did caught my eye."

"Oh really? What's her name?"

"I gotta go. Don't wanna be late for school!"

"Of course you don't when there is an awesome somebody you will talk to today!"

"See ya!"

"Have fun!"

Applejack came to the school bit earlier and saw her new friends around Rarity who was crying.

"Hey, what happened? Rarity, are you okay?"

"No." she was crying loudly. And Applejack was shocked as she then said, "Sweetie Belle is GONE!"
