Author's Note

I know many did not like last chapter but I am having fun writing this story and some people did like it so I am continuing this story :D

They wore a hat

"Alright move!" later the police arrived. "All of you will be asked questions, please stay away from the message and wait!"

The girls went back to wait at the library. They saw a random brown hat on the floor. A hat Rarity remembered she designed and sold few people.

The next day

"Good morning students!" Celestia was talking to the school. "As you all know yesterday a horrible thing has happened, our student Trixie was kidnapped. I assure you there is no need to panic as police is solving this mystery already."

"We are working hard to find your friend" a policeman said. "We saw on security cameras that whoever did this wore this brown hat we later found in the library. If you know anything about it please let us know."

Later at lunch. Applejack, Twilight, Pinkie, Fluttershy and Rarity were sitting down at the table.

"I guess then we have nothing to worry about, right? Since police will solve it." Applejack said.

"I don't know about that. I am pretty scared." Rarity replied. "I was asked questions about Trixie's and mine fight."

"Are you scared they will suspect you?" Fluttershy wondered.

"Well yes, but also that someone else is going to be kidnapped."

"I just don't understand," Twilight said, " why would anybody do that to her?"

"Because they are her competition for captain spot?" Rainbow joined them.

"Oh please stop it!" Rarity was getting annoyed. "She was rude to everyone. Literally anyone could be responsible for that."

"Since when do you all sit with us regular mortals." Sunset was suprised as she sat down with them.

"Hey, I just came here hoping you would be brave enough to join me in solving this mystery." Rainbow said. "Seems like an adventure."

"And I came to make sure you won't tell them I made the hat." Rarity said.

"Wouldn't that help them solve it?" Fluttershy asked.

"It would also make me look even more suspicious. I really don't need that."

"Perfect!" Rainbow said. "Then we are the only ones who are able to solve this mystery. We have the clue!'

"Absolutely not!" Twilight complained. "We need to tell the police!"

"I don't know, it would make Rarity look bad." Applejack said. "What if they somehow come to conclusion she is the one who did it?"

"Well did you?" Pinkie suspiciously asked Rarity.

"No!" Rarity replied.

"I'm in!" everyone turned to Sunset. "Solving this mystery seems like a fun adventure."

"But wouldn't that get you into more trouble?" Twilight asked. "Especially since some people used to think you're bad."

"Some still do think you're bad." Fluttershy looked at Sunset with suspicion.

"Eh, I'll risk it. Sometimes you have to do things you want to without fearing what others will think of you, Twilight. It's your life after all and people who matter to you will love you anyway."

Twilight thought about that. "Alright, I'm in too!"

"Wow, even Twilight Sparkle will join us in this rule breaking." Rainbow was suprised.

"It's not that big rule breaking..... right?"

"Nah, it will be fun!" Pinkie replied. "I am also in!"

"I am, of course, in" Rarity also added. "We need to get to the real truth and not let anyone innocent be accussed."

"Me too! I wanna join!" Applejack said. "It looks like it will be an adventure. Besides all of you are joining too!"

Fluttershy sighed. "I guess that means I will too."

"Great!" Rainbow was happy. "Let's all meet up later then to discuss it. I need to go to my team now."

"Come to my botique at 6." Rarity said.

Later at Rarity's botique.

"So I made 3 of these hats. One is with Sweetie Belle, one was bought by Spitfire and one by Flash Sentry."

Sunset eyerolled. "Of course my ex would be involved."

"Well Flash wasn't the one who was school bully..." Fluttershy complained.

"What do you even have against me? Do you still think I'm mean?"

"Well you were pretty rude to me."

"I apologized, and I have changed."

"I don't know about that..."

"Can we please focus on removing my name from suspects" Rarity said. "I mean, solving this mystery."

"Okay we are all from different school groups, we can find out anything from anyone." Rainbow said. "I'll ask Spitfire, Rarity you ask Sweetie Belle and someone will need to go ask Flash."

"Not me." Sunset instantly said.

"No one else knows him" Rainbow noticed.

"I do!" Pinkie smiled.

"Awesome, Pinkie can you do it then?"

"Sure!"

Tomorrow they met at Rainbow's home.

"Well, I can't believe I was actually invited to your house." Twilight was suprised.

"Wow Rainbow!" Applejack was also suprised. "You really have a lot of throphies and medals."

"Yeah, I really love sports!"

"Oh really? Do you plan to do it as your job?"

"Uh huh! My dream has always been to become a member of the Wonderbolts, best football team in the world!"

"That's sounds amazing! I am sure you will make it!"

"Thanks!" Rainbow smiled. "What about you? What are your future plans?"

"Well I will probably lead family apple farm.
I also like baking treats from apples."

"Sweet!"

"You sure do have a lot of photos of yourself around the house" Twilight noticed.

"Hey, my parents put those here, not me."

"They must be very proud then."

"They are. But we aren't here to talk about that, what did you guys find out?" Rainbow asked.

"I found out Flash still has his hat" Pinkie said. "Also that they will not be doing taco tuesdays in school anymore."

"What? No fair!" Everyone was shocked.

"Spitfire also still has the hat with her, she was actually wearing it." Rainbow explained.

Rarity sighed. "Then I guess it was Sweetie Belle's..."

"Can you explain a bit more?" Sunset asked.

"Sweetie Belle borrowed someone this hat. They have never returned it."

"But who did she borrow it to?" Fluttershy and other were curious.

"That's the thing," Rarity said. "She borrowed it to Trixie."

"WHAT?" everyone was shocked.
