After her defeat by the hooves of Twilight Sparkle and the elements of harmony, Starlight had to abandon her village, and she ran away, hiding her skin and living like an animal as she was seeking revenge. As the purple mare walked through the dark tunnels, trying to find a place to call home, she heard the sound of something walking on the ceiling, Starlight turned her head, but nothing was behind her, and she continued to walk, and the sound of walking followed her and echoed through the dark tunnel. Trying to keep her mind off the idea that some pony is here to hurt her, Starlight decided to talk to herself.

“Heroes,” The purple unicorn rolled her eyes, as the stings of rage started to hurt her, “They are not heroes, they are destroyers, they destroyed my village, they destroyed my paradise. If only I could…”

“If only you could change it?” A twisted voice spoke behind the mare. Starlight turned around and she saw a small green unicorn, in the size of a young colt, but his voice sounded like a young stallion, the unicorn had scales instead of coat and he had no mane, and he had three claws on his front hooves. The reptile pony wore a black top hat and his eyes were red as blood. “Well, well, well, what a beautiful mare is doing in this gloomy tunnel?” the pony reptile asked as he walked closer.

“What are you?” Starlight asked the creature, “Some kind of a changeling trick?”

“It is no trick my friend,” The creature smiled, “And these green scales, are the only skin I have.”

“Whatever you are, just leave me alone, I have no time for monsters and creeps,” Starlight responded. The mare raised her head and she continued to walk, and the reptile followed her. Starlight noticed the reptile and she walked faster, and faster, looking back to see if he still following her, until she bumped by the reptile that suddenly stood in front of her.

“And what about the heroes you want to destroy?” The reptile asked with a smile as he helped the mare get up on her legs.

“You can help me?” Starlight asked as she laughed at the reptile, “Who do you think you are that you could help me?” The reptile took his hat and from the hat, he took a small card and gave it to Starlight.

“Dr. Mephist?” Starlight read the card.

“At your service,” Mephist smiled, revealing two sets of sharp teeth.

“And how can you help me?”

“I can show a nice trick, for a price.”

“I have no money.”

“Money is not the price,” Mephist smiled, “There is something that cost more than money.” The cave grew darker and darker, destroying every piece of light there is, and leaving the two in a purple space.

I can see that you are fighting for a purpose.
The will for being equal is in your veins.
But the elements have come,
And what you’ve built has been gone.
Now you walking and planning your revenge.”

“Oh-wuh-oh-wuh, oh. Oh-wuh-oh-wuh,” echoes came through the tunnel as the choir for Mephist’s Song. Starlight was terrified by the sounds, but Mephist was calm like he knew they would be heard by him and the mare.

Now I see that you have a talent in magic,
I’ve seen raw powers just like this before.
(Oh-oh-oh-oh)
And that is why I came,
To teach you how to take,
Reality and bend it to your own.”
(Oh, wuh-oh-wuh, oh. Oh,wuh-oh-wuh).

The tunnel grew darker as three shadows grew behind the reptile, as he smiled in sinister, and Starlight backed away in fear, the shadows filled the tunnel Mephist continued to sing.

You have the magic, you have the magic,
And the Doctor is here to help.
You have suffered,
your heart has been shuttered.
And the elements are all to blame!

“and what do you propose, Dr?” Starlight asked

“There is a spell to change time itself,” Mephist said as he turned his back at the mare, “But it will cost.”

“I told you, I have no money.” Starlight repeated.

“And I told you that I am not after money,” Mephist smirked, “No, you can pay me with your soul.”

“What?!!”

What I’m suggesting’s very simple,
You can change the events.
Yes, it cost your soul, but think
You can destroy the elements
and my dear, the vengeance
is worth the cost.

The shadows came to life, and they took the forms of the elements, the elements that destroyed her life and they circled the poor unicorn, as the reptile smiled.

Learn that magic, it would be tragic
If you don’t take this chance.”

Dr. Mephist clapped his two hooves as he stood on his rear legs, and a yellow scroll came out as the hands opened.

Just sign the deed,
It’s all you need.

Starlight read the deed, as a white feather appeared with black ink, and she signed the deed and sold her soul as Mephist smiled. The deed burned in green flames and the reptile smiled and started to giggle as more and more shadows appeared, taking the forms of those that Starlight knew, smiling and their eyes glowed in fiery red

And now the deal has been made!” Dr. Mephist laughed as the shadows leaped at Starlight as she screamed in terror and she woke up, covered in cold sweat and she saw that she was in her room in her friend’s castle.

“Starlight are you okay?” Twilight asked Starlight as she burst to the room, worrying over her friend’s screams.

“Yes, just a bad dream,” Starlight answered.

“Okay, good night then,” Twilight smiled as she left the room.

“It’s just a dream, Dr. Mephist is not real,” Starlight tried to convince, and calm herself.

Starlight went back to sleep as a shadow of a unicorn, with a top hat, hairless tail and red eyes looked at her and he smiled as his eyes glow in the dark room.
