Golden Delicious always knew that he liked Starburst. And not just in the friend way. He means the in the way where she could make him smile in the blink of a second and stutter and turn bright red by laughing her beautiful laugh. She laughed rarely and when she did it was... indescribable. It came from her soul, and it was loud and joyful. She would snort lightly if she laughed really hard, and it would cheer up everyone in the room bringing a sense of belonging. His face would light up just to see the slightest smile on her face and it made every part of his body tingle with delight.

She was cute too. Del would never admit or say this out loud, but whenever Star would pass out on the farm he would take the opportunity to look at her. He didn’t mean it in the creepy way, but he would just look at her features as he carried her to his room. Her small button nose and beautiful amethyst eyes. He could stare into them all day. She was beautiful in her own amazing way. Del, Prism Bolt and Turquoise Blitz has overheard some of their girl talks before. Listening to them was scarring (thanks to Annie’s wildly graphic descriptions) as well as interesting. They would often talk about their sex appeal and Star would comment about her lack of it. The girls would protest even though Starburst would smile and shake it off saying “guys it’s not the end of the world. I’m not looking for a boyfriend anyways.”.

Even though Starburst thought she had no sex appeal, Del thought differently. Her figure was muscular yet toned due to all of her training. Her breasts weren’t large like Annie and Cotton’s but were firm were and a modest B-cup. Her legs were tanned, but short as she would spend a lot of her time outside flying with Prism or even on occasion Whirlwind. Del didn’t mind at all that she would usually wear a normal sports bra and shorts with her hair tied up. No effort was put into her outfit and Del admired that she could care less. Starburst was beautiful in her own way and no other girl could compare.

Even though they were just friends, Del couldn’t help but hope that they would get together one day.

It was a sunny day on Sweet Apple Acres and all was calm and still.

Suddenly a loud shriek pierced the quiet atmosphere.

“AHH DEL STOP! ITS GETTING IN MY HAIR!” A giggle came after and some playful laughter followed. Starburst Sparkle Sentry held up the red paint brush as a defense from Golden Delicious who had another paint brush in his hand. Starburst was leaning back into a battle stance, ready to leap forward and attack. Del was standing normally but what made him more of a threat than a battle ready girl was a paint bucket full of red paint, red as the apple’s that the farm produced.

They were repainting the farm door ,as it was old and a rusty color, when Del had suddenly flung the paint on the edge of his paintbrush onto Star’s old clothes. It had soon escalated into a full paint battle which ended them up covered in paint, only their face and hair spared.

“Aw com’on Star! Loosen up a bit! Y’all know that you don’t have enough fun!” Del replied.

Starburst made a show of rolling her eyes, simply a distraction then lunged forwards jumping onto Del’ chest and trying to paint his face. Del reacted quickly and grabbed both of her wrists moving then away from his face. He collapsed on the ground and was moved onto his back as Star leaned forward and continued her mission to cover Del’ face in red. Laughs and giggled echoed across the farm but was brought to an abrupt halt, when Star had leaned far to forward and tumbled onto Del’s chest simply inches away from his lips. A dull red spread onto Del and Starbursts face and Del spoke.

“Er... Star? Don kill me.” And with that he gently brought down Star’s face against his. She barely had time to react as Dels lips pressed against hers and then Star became aware that Golden’s delicious was kissing her.

His hand came up behind her head and cupped her neck, as he leaned forward making Starburst shimmy backwards. She pressed her hands against his shoulders, awkward at first, but then ran them down his chest making Del shiver with delight. Her hands continued their journey south, near his abdomen and brought them behind his back. Del lightly but on her lip and pried her mouth open. It would have continued if it wasn’t for a loud gasp that brought them back to reality. Starburst stood up quicker than Del had ever seen her move and placed her hands on her hips.

“API!”

Stood behind an apple tree was the littlest Apple. She looked at them with joy and fear. Joy for the prospect of her ship coming together and fear for how Starburst and Del would react to the little interruption.

“Uh... h-hey y’all.” She stuttered nervously.

“What in Celestias name were you doing there! Ah thought you were study’in with June.”

“Well ah wus, but then ah got bored, so I came down here after hear’in all that laughing y’all were doing.” She said slyly looking at them, grinning widely. Starburst turned a bright red and dusted her hands.

“We weren’t doing anything.”

“Not doing anythang? I saw you two right there!” She grinned evilly and Del pushed his youngest cousin back into the trees.

“Api, go back to June. She’ll be frettin and getting testy.” His tone was polite but there was secret warning written underneath.

“Aw But Del-“

“Now.”

Api frowned but waggled her eyebrows suggestively at Starburst. Once again she was pushed into the trees leaving her humiliated cousin and a flustered princess to sort out their feelings.
