Chapters Of Vampires and Werewolves
"Come on Octavia!" the orange mare cries, "Your never any fun. Just one more time? Please, for me?" Carrot Top gives Octavia her best puppy eyes. The grey earth pony rolls her eyes and groans. "Okay, okay. But just this once and only because I don't have the heart to say no to a face like that."
Carrot Top bounded out the door of the room they were staying in saying "Haha! Now hurry up, we should have met up with Lyra and Bonnie over fifteen minutes ago." Octavia sighed and trotted out the door after her closing it behind them and followed the over excited Carrot top down the road to the farthest side of the east village of the University. In case you haven't guessed Carrot Top likes going out on adventures.
Once at the end of the road they walked through the open space to the where they then met up with the rest of the little group. it seemed they did stuff like this almost every night now and Octavia couldn't probably take much more of it before she would begin to fall behind on her music theory studies.
"What took you two so long?" Lyra complained, "We were about to go on without you two." The still bouncing orange blur responded "Little miss reluctant here took quite a bit of convincing." Octavia groaned "Can we just get this over with? I haven't had much sleep this whole week because of you guys and I don't think I want to miss out any more than I already have."
"Oh don't you worry your little head about anything. You'll be fine." Carrot top said patronizingly to Octavia while patting her head. "Sooooo, I'm guessing that means everyone's ready now?" Asked Bon-Bon who was still a bit apprehensive herself about how these midnight runs around the town might affect her grades, but she would never say that to any on her friends lest they heckle her about her studious disposition. "What are we going to do tonight then Lyra? We've already done just about all the things you can do at night in Ponyville." asked Carrot Top who had only stopped bouncing to ask the question.
Before they knew it they were already deep in the undergrowth of the Everfree. They had been walking in silence jumping at sudden noises for about a half hour now. "So did you have any ideas of what we'd actually be doing when we got in h-Eeep!" the confectioner squealed because she walked into a stray branch she hadn't noticed the other mares giggled and Lyra replied "Come to think of it no, I actually wasn't expecting to get this far, I figured you would all be too scared." Octavia suddenly feeling insulted saying "Hey! what's that supposed to mean?" before Lyra could respond there was a deep growling. "Are you really so childish as to actually growl at me?" The gray mare said icily.
"T-That wasn't me." Lyra responded quavering. "Well than what was it?" At that moment a large wolf stepped out of the shadows. The mares screamed and tried to run away but it was too fast.
It was a long walk back to the University, they would have stopped by the school nurse's office but they closed at 8 and right now it was about 1 am. After walking Octavia back to her dorm where she was staying with Carrot Top and bandaging her leg they stayed with her until about two before deciding that they should probably let Octavia sleep.
Luckily today was a day off so she had plenty of time to take a shower, replace the bandages and do whatever a pony might do the day after being bitten by a likely rabid wolf. So she did just that, after freshening up a bit she decided to go out to go out and visit the school nurse to get the wound properly cleaned up and bandaged, but that could wait until after lunch.
Once she was finished she went to see the nurse, just to get the bite checked out. She couldn't help but feel like she was being followed but when she looked behind her the only pony she was a white mare with wild electric blue hair and purple shades wearing a white hoodie. So she continued walking, the nurse's office was all the way on the other side of campus and she had so sort of limp all the way there.
Just when she was about to get close the the building she was quickly dragged aside. When she turned around to face her assailant she noticed it was the same white mare she had seen walking behind her. Ready to the defend herself she snarled "Who are you, what do you want?" The hooded mare said softly "Calm down alright, first thing's first, I can't let you go in there." Octavia surprised that she wasn't being mugged now curiously asked "Well why not?". The white unicorn sighed saying "Your gonna have to come with me, I can't have you going about showing of that bite of yours to just any doctor."

The first rewritten chapter (The one this little note is on), won't be changed all that much. The chapters will become progressively more different as I get further through this rewrite.

"Well what ever could you possibly mean? I'm almost absolutely certain the school's nurse is more than competent enough to- Hey, wait a minute. How did you know it was a bite?" The hooded mare chuckled. "You don't know anything do you." and then proceeded to begin dragging poor Octavia off to some place Celestia probably doesn't even know. There was lots of hey-stop-that's and what-do-you-think-you're-doing's on the way across the town. Never the less though they finally made it in one piece, though one of the two was still slightly disgruntled and feeling rather indignant after the little frog march across town.
"Well, here we are! Now get inside before I drag you there in myself." Octavia huffed but seeing no good options for escape from the crazy mare who's been pushing her around all day, grudgingly complied and stepped through the wooden door in the tree. Inside was a rather long concrete staircase leading down to what Octavia assumed must be some sort of hidden drug lab, or at least some sort of underground "weed" farm. All the same, drug lab or not the two mares went down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs it opened up into a large room with quite a few ponies wandering around in it. "Well what do you think?" The still hooded mare asked, obviously proud of the facility as is she ad built her self. Then again Octavia wouldn't have been surprised if she did.
"Well, there are too many ponies here for it to be a traditional drug lab (as if drug labs ever had tradition). It's too hidden away to be hospital, and it's too, well, I don't know, to be anything else. The other mare chuckled once again. "Drug lab! Ha! That's a new one! Oh well, we came here for a specific reason so we might as well finish what we set out for in the first place." Octavia muttered under her breathe. "You mean what you set us out for..." With that the hooded mare began dragging Octavia off once again down one of the many halls of the subterranean establishment.
Elsewhere ... Carrot Top popped her head into Lyra and Bon-Bon's room. "Hey, have you seen Octavia lately? I can't find her anywhere." Bon-Bon replied without even looking at Carrot Top, "Did you check the music rooms maybe? She's always hanging out there in her free time wasting her life away on that cello of her's." Carrot Top nodded, "I already told you! I can't find her anywhere , and anywhere also entails the music room as well as the rest of the entire campus including a rather large chunk of Ponyville!"
"Look Topsy, she's probably out doing something right now, maybe getting a life like we all probably should for instance? Who knows? She might even be out with some stallion right now. I wouldn't worry about it, If she's not here by 8 o'clock then you can start worrying. Until then just relax." Carrot Top sighed, "Okay, I suppose you're right, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm still bored. Wait... I thought Octavia was into mares." Bon-Bon just waved it off. "Mares, stallions, same difference. Either way, you can have sex with both."
"Damn... That's a nasty bite if I've ever saw one" The doctor stated. "It's definitely that kind of bite too. This'll have to heal naturally." With that he floated over the alcohol and bandages. He takes a quick swig from the alcohol (yes that is the medical stuff) and goes and pours some on the wound. After a bit of hissing from Octavia, the bite was bandaged. "There you go! Before you leave go to the front desk, they'll tell you what's up and get your paper work filled out."
Octavia stepped outside of the medical wing to be greeted by the pony who had brought her here in the first place. "Alright, you're gonna have to fill out some paper work before you go." Octavia just rolled her eyes. "The doctor already told me that." The other mare rubbed her hoof behind her head. "Well... a reminder doesn't hurt right?" Octavia huffed. "I suppose, but it's not like I have the memory of a goldfish or something."
"Oh two things I forgot to mention before. My name is Vinyl Scratch, and you were bitten by a were wolf." At that Octavia just blinked, she'd had too much excitement over the past two days and adding on the fact the it was a werewolf that bit her just ended up being too much for her to take. So she did the only thing that seemed right in this situation and passed out.

Octavia awoke slightly bleary eyed to the voice of Vinyl. "Gosh, we won't be able to tell you hardly anything around here if you're going to pass out like that every time you hear something important." Octavia sat up on the bed she had been passed out on. "How long have I been out?" Vinyl chuckled. "Long enough to know you drool in your sleep, now come on, we've wasted enough time already, what with you out cold for the past hour and a half." Octavia looked aghast at Vinyl. "I do not drool! Anyways, even if I did drool too it's not my fault, I was unconscious!" Vinyl simply responded with a roll of her eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night, we still need to get you all registered and all that good stuff."
At that moment Octavia suddenly remembered the reason she had gone unconscious in the first place. "Wait. You told me before I went out of it that I was attacked by a werewolf . Was that just a joke or was that son of a bitch that bit me really a werewolf. Oh and pun not intended."Vinyl just laughed. "Oh Celestia... Son of a bitch, werewolf... If that was an actual intended pun I'd be complimenting you right now on your sense of humor."
After a couple more moments of laughing the blue maned mare was finally able to calm herself. "Oh, and yes that was a werewolf that attacked you, and in consequence, you have been infected. Thus making you a werewolf, but fortunately for you... because neither your mother or father were werewolves, you are not a pure werewolf and can change forms more or less at will though you are still affected by the moon, or rather the full moon to be exact. In any case though you are not to confuse yourself with a lycan. There is a difference which you may or may not learn later." With that Vinyl took a deep breath and exhaled. "Oh how I hate having to explain that, I really need a new job."
Octavia just blinked a couple of times, her brain still processing everything tat was just said. She didn't realize it at the time but she was taking all of this extremely well considering she had passed out from the news the first time around. "Okay.. I think I got it. Now about that paper work..."
"Alright now that we have the hard part over we need to get you to kill something so you don't explode in our faces. I never have enjoyed shooting the new guy with a tranquilizer." Octavia simply gaped at Vinyl. "You want me to do WHAT?! You can't just tell me to go and kill something! I'm not a heartless pony like you!"
"Whoa there, calm your tits, It's only gonna be a otter or two. You aren't about to slaughter the entirely of ponykind" Octavia blinked. "Calm my tits ? Isn't that a little bit... Well I don't know... sexual?" Vinyl begins to walk away down one of the halls again obviously trying to get Octavia to hurry up and get going. "Sure, well anyways this thing here is kind of a necessity so you kind of have to do this, plus you agreed to it in the third contract you had to sign. More or less you should just get your flank moving before I get back there and push it myself."
Octavia grudgingly complied, only because she had signed a document though. "You would touch my flank?"
After Octavia had finished cleaning most the gore off of her muzzle and found Vinyl again she tells her, "Wow, that was a lot more satisfying than I expected, though I can't help but feel bad for those two baby otters, they seemed so cute with their eyes shining at me right before I tore through their flesh and..." Vinyl just stopped her mid-sentence. "TMI. But I understand you're excited you killed your first baby otters. Just keep the details to your self. I'll be honest though I have tried out that whole eating innocent animals thing a couple of times my self and it wasn't that bad. In fact I actually eat red meat regularly at breakfast everyday. I'm not any sort of supernatural creature though."
Octavia cocked her head curiously responding with a simple, "Really? I totally thought you were a vampire until just now".
"Ya, it's a long story, anyways enough chit-chat, I imagine both of us have better things to do than talk about eating meat." With that, a simple goodbye, and an exchange of numbers (don't ask me how a pony would use a phone because I don't know) they went their separate ways.

The very next morning... Octavia rolled out of her bed and went down the hall to the "kitchen". I'm using that term lightly here mostly due to the fact that this "kitchen" contained a microwave, a mini fridge, and last but not least, a paper towel holder... thing... I don't know the technical term for it. Anyways, Octavia simply decided that a Hot Packet would have to do for breakfast, even though it was technically a lunch food that was all she had so it would have to suffice for the time being. Unfortunately there were classes today, the good thing is though that nopony ever went to classes because they were already perfectly good at what they want to do for a living and will probably never need any more instruction. In consequence there were no classes today.
Octavia finished her Hot Packet and decided she was going to go back to the hovel today. It's not like she needed to go, she just had nothing else to do and felt like talking to Vinyl and getting to know her a bit better, maybe take her out to lunch, or they could watch a movie... Octavia shook her head. I can't go around thinking like that... No matter how she was feeling though she was going to go anyways, heck, maybe she could apply for a job there at the facility. On that note she headed out her door and set off for the hovel. In the back of her mind though she couldn't help but wonder...Why wasn't Carrot Top in the dorm this morning?
Now let's see where she might be off to... Maybe to see a certain somepony I presume? Carrot Top asked herself evilly. She followed Octavia in the bushes beside the path she was going down. Just then Octavia turned off the path and went around the corner. Dammit! Why can't she make this easy for me? Oh that's right, because she's not doing this for me... Carrot Top sneaked up to the corner Octavia just went around and peeked to see where Octavia was. Where'd she go? It's not like she just walked into one of these trees... I'll figure it out next time.
Octavia walked along side Vinyl. "So you want to work here now? On your second day visiting? Are you 100% certain this is what you want?" Octavia nodded in confirmation. "Yes, that is correct." Vinyl shrugged, "Alright, if you say so. What were you thinking of doing anyways? It's not like you have much experience with this whole supernatural thing yet." Octavia cocked her head to think for a moment, "I'm not sure actually... I never really got that far in thinking about it. Maybe I could be your assistant or something?" The white mare nodded her head. "Ya I guess that could work, I've been thinking about getting one for a while now anyways. Let's get the papers signed and get to work then."
The next half hour was spent signing documents and setting up various things like pay rates and how possible future promotions might work. Typically signing up for a job there wouldn't be so difficult but firstly since being Vinyl's assistant wasn't exactly an official job things needed to be lined up and so on so everything could be worked out. Along with that Octavia was extremely new to the organization, which on an unrelated note Octavia had learned is a fake-ish company that sells stuff like glass candle holders filled with various colored liquids (by liquids I mean blood) and gemstone pet rocks (also filled with various colored bloods). On another similarly unrelated note the cover name for the organization or rather the name of the fake-ish company was Gravel and Co. even though they never sold anything even slightly related to gravel.
Later that night... Octavia had finally successfully secured a job. It's been quite a while since she had one so having a new source of income was definitely welcome. It was going to be nice to be helping out such a friendly mare like Vinyl, even if she was rather... uncouth. Well technically she's assisting Vinyl not helping her but what difference does it make? She had a good paying job and a nice boss, and that was all she needed to stay afloat. Octavia sighed and rolled over in bed. She may as well stop thinking about how she got a job and just try and focus on keeping it, worrying about having got a job isn't really worth the effort or time. With that Octavia just decided she would simply deal with it and finally just stop rambling on in her head and go to sleep.

Octavia stumbled into her kitchen again, this time a couple of weeks later. She had started work with Vinyl Scratch at the facility now and has been quite enjoying it. You couldn't call it work though really, it was more like just getting paid to be friends with Vinyl and occasionally do something with paperwork or tranquilizers. Octavia had also started becoming much better at controlling her whole werewolf power shebang and didn't really have to worry a whole lot now about transforming unexpectedly or suddenly having the urge to rip somepony's head off.
Once again, Octavia decided to simply make herself her normal, mediocre, Hot Packet breakfast meal. "Sweet Celestia... I really need to start eating real food for once in my miserable life." With that she finished off her Hot Packet and went out the door to go and do stuff. Today she was going to go out for lunch and other stuff related things with Carrot Top, Bon Bon, and Lyra. Lyra had the whole entire day planned out already so none of the others had any idea about what was going to go down over the course of the day.
Regardless of that Octavia complied anyways, even if Lyra had decided they were all going to compete in pole dancing competitions or "major league" drinking games. Which believe it or not, both of these things happened before with Lyra. Funny story that one, oh and just a fun fact, Octavia won the pole dancing competition against some ridiculous, pro pole dancer (I highly doubt those don't exist), that had 5 years of experience. She still hasn't heard the end of that and probably never will.
Back on topic though, Octavia had almost reached Lyra and Bon Bon's door. She walked all the way up to it and knocked several times. It was Bon Bon who answered, "Oh hey Octavia! Ready to win it big in another pole dancing competition?" Octavia rolled her eyes, "I hope we're not seriously doing that again, because if we are, I am out." Bon Bon chuckled, "No, we aren't, but you did put on quite a nice show there last time that happened. I'm pretty sure every colt in the bar had given you at least 5 dollars. In ones of course, as is the stripper way..."
"Dear Celestia... don't even get me started on those pervs, they gave way more than 5 dollars each." Bon Bon laughed again, "I don't doubt that for 1 second. Enough chit chat though, Carrot Top is already here so we can get going now."
Later at lunch... "So Octavia, Carrot Top here tells us you've been hooking up with somepony. Do you mind telling us who it might be?" Octavia blushed at Lyra's question. "Oh no, I'm not, as you put it, "hooking up" with anypony right now, I think Carrot Top must have just seen me in the town with my new boss. I haven't been working for her for very long yet." Bon Bon simply chuckled. "Sure sure, whatever. I suppose that's why you were going around with her everywhere she went then." Octavia blushed again."Oh no, I'm just her assistant, I simply do paperwork and the sort for her or some other smaller tasks." This time Carrot Top jumped into the conversation. "If you say so, I'm still confused on what paperwork you have to fill out to go to the bar for an Applejack Daniels though..."
"Are you all ready to order your meals now?" said the waitress pony. "I'll take a salad and a side of hay fries." answered Octavia. The others ordered their food as well and thankfully the interruption of the waitress had provided an opening for a new topic and Octavia was safe from further questioning and teasing about her job. They talked for a while about random things while eating their food. Finally they had all finished eating and had payed the waitress the money and went out the door. From there they went around the town looking in various shops and buying a couple of things here and there. They did this until the sun had set and were on their way to the bar as their last stop of the day.
Unfortunately for Octavia, it just so happened that tonight of all nights, it was a full moon. Octavia didn't notice this until she realized her hair had started getting longer and her claws began poking out of her hooves. She had to come up with an excuse to leave and fast. "Darn it! I just realized I left the water running in my sink! I have to go bye!" With that she bolted off in the general direction of her residence and then as soon as they were out of sight she went towards the one place she could get through the night without killing anypony, the Everfree Forest.

Rewriting the story is taking a while, I'm really sorry about that by the way. School has been really time consuming and I'm involved with too many things at once. I'll still try to keep updating the story but it's going to take a while.

Octavia stumbled out of a bush the next day holding a hoof to her throbbing head. "Celestia that was bad, note to self, mark the calendar for full moons. On the upside though I hadn't been drinking heavily before I transformed, otherwise this headache would have been seven hells of a lot worse." She began slowly towards her current home and got along a good ways before it hit her. "Aw shit! I still have work today! How did I forget?" With that she bolted off towards her new query. Upon arriving at the hidden entrance to the supernatural facility. She descended the spiral staircase as swiftly as she could without falling flat on her face making her hurt more than she already did from the night in the Everfree. Once at the bottom of the staircase she looked around in search of Vinyl. Octavia finally spotted her and got over to her promptly.
"Hey there Tavi. No need to explain, I understand with the whole werewolf thing and the full moon last night. In fact I'm surprised you came in today, I would imagine your apartment was wrecked as well after last night." Octavia smiled and shook her head, chuckling a bit. "Ha ha, nope. I was out with a couple of friends yesterday and I ended up having to spend the night out in the Everfree, which is also why my mane is in such a horrid state. But I wouldn't want to skip work in a million years anyways, especially with such a good boss." "Heh, no need to call me boss Tavi, we're friends that just happen to be coworkers." Vinyl responded.
"Why thank you for that comment, but it doesn't change that fact that I still work for you." Octavia blushed. "No it doesn't but it sure doesn't mean we have to be strictly doing business all the time when we're around each other. In fact, let's take the day off and go have some fun, just you and me. How does that sound?" The white unicorn offered. Octavia almost had a panic attack inside her head. A full day with Vinyl Scratch? What if I do something stupid, or, I embarrass myself? Okay Octavia, calm down. You spend almost everyday with her anyways. Why would this be any different? And why do I want to make a good impression anyways? "Sure I'll go, you lead the way Miss Scratch." Once again Vinyl chuckled. "Just call me Scratch." For a reason Octavia couldn't quite put her hoof on those four simple words made her heart skip several beats.
The aforementioned mares sat a table for two in a small dinner on the edge of town, their eyes practically sparkling with mirth. Octavia and Vinyl Scratch hit it off almost instantaneously though they were quite different. I suppose it really is true, opposites do attract. In any case the two were chatting up a storm comparable to Hurricane Cantetrina. "Hey, we should do this again sometime, maybe you could even come over to my place for a while afterwords and I can show you some of the stuff I do." Vinyl suggested to Octavia. "I think I'd like that. I don't suppose I'd have to ask you when you're free as we both have practically the same schedule. So... next Tuesday then?" Vinyl nodded in confirmation. "Yup, I'm cool with that. See you later Tavi." On that note Vinyl got up from the table they were sitting at and walked out the door, blowing a joking kiss to Octavia. And though Octavia knew it was meant as a joke she still blushed heavily for reasons she was not yet prepared to consider.
Could I be being... attracted to Vinyl? No, there's no way... I'm a grown mare, I know better than to cross over into the world of fillyfoolers. Anyways, what would my family and friends think If I was dating another mare? Octavia sighed, pushing the thoughts aside until further notice, not wanting to have some sort of fit or another while in the eye of the public. With that she got up and left the dinner to head back to her home. Little did she know though, she and Vinyl weren't alone while on their little free day. One thing was certain though, more than just her friends were going to know about their day out, and Carrot Top definitely wasn't a prime suspect.

Carrot Top trotted towards Lyra and Bon Bon who were having a very lively conversation with each other at an out door table of the restaurant The Good Old Hays right around the corner of Sugarcube Corner. Heh, try saying that ten times fast. Any way, Carrot Top was pretty much at the table now, "Hey you guys! What were you chatting about?" The two mares glanced at each other mischievously and giggled, answering in unison, "Nothing...", it was an obvious lie but Carrot Top knew well enough not to ask. "Whatever, anyways, did the two of you see what Octavia has been doing? I saw her walking around with another mare, all secret like, ya know what I'm talking about?", not waiting for a response she continued her gossiping, "There is almost no way they aren't together. Unless they're part of some secret organization made to assist supernatural creatures like werewolves and vampires then in my opinion there is no other reason I can think of for them to be sneaking around with each other into the Everfree Forest and all that."
Lyra and Bon Bon glanced at each other as if thinking about the same thing, something told Carrot Top it wasn't about Octavia and this other pony, but she couldn't be sure. "Well... There is one other possibility... Maybe, just maybe..." Bon Bon slapped Lyra, "Get on with it!" Lyra rubbed her now bright red cheek, "Okay okay... Sheesh. Well as I was saying, maybe they're planning to murder somepony and become serial killers like that one pony that went insane just last month. Didn't he like rip out ten pony's throats before getting put in the iron maiden filled with boiling oil?"
"Octavia isn't a serial killer. Celestia Lyra, what has gotten into you? That's a terrible thought." responded Bon Bon. Carrot Top gasped, "She's probably right! It makes so much more sense! Octavia would never be a filly fooler! She would ever, as she would put it 'stoop to such a low class in pony society'." Bon Bon face palmed harder than she'd ever face palmed before. "She's less likely to be a murderer than a filly fooler, honestly, the two of you need to get some more brain cells. If you can't get past the fiction that Octavia is a serial killer then you should probably get your head checked out for any tumors that might be attached to the side of your cerebral cortex." Both Carrot Top and Lyra gave Bon Bon a questioning look. "It's a part of your brain you nitwits! Celestia you two can be thick."
After the long conversation that ensued about who might be a serial killer and which of those ponies they would like to bang the three ponies went to their homes. I don't think I've mentioned this before but just as a side note, Octavia, Lyra, Bon Bon, and Carrot Top all live next to each other. Once they reached their homes they looked at the notes posted to their doors. It read "Eviction Notice: It has been discovered that the the area your home is built on is an ancient burial ground for ducks. This ground is considered sacred by the Duck Cult of Ducks and Duck Related Things. They have threatened us with war and orange serving platters if we do not deconstruct these buildings withing the next two days. We are sorry for this inconvenience and wish you a good day. Thank You for your cooperation."
"CELESTIA DAMN THESE FUCKING DUCKS, CELESTIA FUCKING DAMMIT!!!!" The three ponies some how managed to scream this as loud as they could all at once. A couple of ponies down the street turned their heads in surprise, as most ponies almost never hear such foul language in their lives. They all walked into their houses and began packing everything they were going to need, which was a lot. As it turns out, Octavia had already done this and was out right now looking for a new place to stay.
Octavia walked down the street looking for a real estate office. She was almost absolutely certain it didn't exist but she decided to look anyways. Working in Gravel and Co. had earned her quite a bit of cash so she was able to buy pretty much any house she wanted. This helped a lot because Octavia was extremely picky about living spaces. By now Octavia had all but given up on finding the nonexistent real estate office. She decided to just head over to Sugarcube Corner and grab a cupcake while she looked over her other options. On the way to the wonderful pastry shop she saw a pony who just so happened to have the solution to her predicament. This particular pony was none other than Octavia's boss, or colleague, I'm not really sure how the hierarchy works with Gravel and Co., Vinyl Scratch. "Hey Tavi! Where you headed?" Octavia, upon hearing the familiar voice, spun around to face the speaker.
"Oh hi Vinyl, I was just going over to Sugarcube corner for a cupcake or two, I need to find a new place to stay since everypony on my block got evicted my the 'Duck Cult of Ducks and Duck Related Things'. Vinyl chuckled, "The 'Duck Cult of Ducks and Duck Related Things?', ya that seems like a problem to me, if you're getting threatened by a duck to move to another home. Anyways, maybe you could crash with me for a while? you could rent a storage place and put your stuff there while you stay with me." Octavia nodded thoughtfully, considering the suggestion. Stay with Vinyl? Oh should I? I really like her... Maybe I should. I can't though! I don't want to intrude on her living space! It'll be free though... Alright I think I'll do it, when else will I get a chance to live with such a good looking pony?
"Alright, I accept your offer. Are you sure you're okay with this though? I can always find someplace else if you want..." Vinyl stopped Octavia, "No. You're living with me. Now come on, we have a storage space to rent."
Of Vampires and Werewolves
The two ponies had just finished moving the last bit of stuff into the newly rented storage space. "Whelp! That's the last of it!" Vinyl announced, letting the magic glow around her horn fade after moving in the last bit of furniture. "Thank Celestia! I'm beat!" Octavia respond, flopping over onto the wall. "You're beat? I'm the one who did all the heavy lifting!" Vinyl chuckled after saying this, "Ah doesn't matter, the job's done and I want to head back home. Oh by the way... I forgot to mention this earlier but there's only one bed and the couch is a bit... worn." Octavia waved her hoof, "It's fine, an old couch is better than the floor."
"It's snapped in half and two of the three cushions are incinerated, the third is covered in spilled soda and mold. I really don't think you want to sleep on that couch." Octavia just blinked. "I should say so, but if you wouldn't mind me asking, how did that happen?" Vinyl rubbed the back her neck. "A spider..." Octavia burst out laughing. "Whatever, let's just get going."
Upon arriving at the house Octavia marveled at how big it was. "You never told me you lived in a Mansion !" Vinyl chuckled. "Well now you know. Come on, let's get inside, it's freezing out here." With that the duo walked through the open cast iron gate up to the front door and entered the mansion. Well it's more of a manor but same difference, right?
"Still getting unpacked, I moved in a couple of days ago. I do have more than one couch but I'm not sure where it is and the other one is getting thrown out tomorrow. I do only have one bed though, for now at least. I suppose we'll have to share a bed until we can dig up a couch. I hope that isn't a problem." Octavia blushed and mumbled something, Vinyl of course decided that Octavia had just said something like 'I suppose not' and clapped her hooves together. "Well alright then! This way to the bedroom!"
It was an odd thing sleeping in the same bed as your boss. It wasn't as bad as Octavia had originally though it would be and she actually slept quite well despite the fact there was another mare with her. Luckily today was a Saturday and Saturdays meant no work. The two house mates now decided it was time to get breakfast. Octavia hadn't gone werewolf for a while so she decided it was best if she just ran out back and ate a bunny or something. As for Vinyl, she decided that she wanted to have Bagels for breakfast, leaving Octavia back at the manor to go chase helpless little animals around and feast on their intestines.
It took about about 15 minutes to the bagel shop, it was totally worth it though and Vinyl got herself a pumpkin spice latte and a slice of pumpkin bread along with a pumpkin flavored bagel. She loved pumpkins. Upon looking around she noticed a group of three mares. One was a mint green unicorn, another was an earth pony with a candy for her cutie mark, and the third was a orange mare with green eyes, both of which were wide as saucers and staring straight at Vinyl. "You're that one mare who's been walking around with Octavia!"
Dear Celestia help me... "Oh so that's the pony you were talking about! I think I recognize her from somewhere..." The second pony replied. "Well of course you do, Bon Bon! That's the club pony, what was she called again? Hmm..." The first mare said. "Are you sure? The club pony always wears glasses and I'm pretty sure she didn't have eyes like that . Shit! My glasses! With that Vinyl Scratch bolted out the door to get her glasses as fast as she could, leaving her half eaten bagel behind.
"So that's why you wear glasses all the time! I suppose I sort of understand your reasoning but seriously? Those eyes are beautiful!" Octavia exclaimed. "I'm freaking albino Tavi! I don't really like shouting that out to the whole world either. I suppose it's okay for you to know but for the rest of the world? The answer is a dead no." Octavia huffed. "Fine, but since I know now I'd like it if you didn't wear them just in the house at least." Vinyl rolled her eyes at that then nodded. "I suppose but only in the house. Okay?" Octavia nodded, "Okay. Let's go find that couch then."

"Soo... Let me get this straight. You're saying that I can't get an education anymore" Vinyl just nodded. "And explain to me again why this is." Vinyl inhaled deeply, opened her mouth as if she was about to say something, closed it, and opened it again just to close it again and tap her hoof on the ground. "Uhhh... Well, I might have missed one minor detail last time you were here..." Octavia decided to continue prodding. "What was this minor detail ? Pray tell."
Vinyl moved her hoof around in circles."Well... according to the... erm... rules, you kind of have to..." Octavia motioned with her hoof for Vinyl to proceed. "...well you kind of have to... uhh... well to put it bluntly, through your dreams out of the window and give up your education." Octavia just nodded they had already gone through this and Octavia had nearly cut off Vinyl's hooves and sold them back to her for 80 bits.
"Well, what do I do instead then?" Octavia asked, keeping her cool for as long as possible, right after this she was going to probably tear up a couple of trees out of the ground to throw like javelins at some bunnies. "Well, you'll be finding a new line of work just like the rest of us did, I used to be a singer you know, now I'm part time DJ and nearly full time associate here." Octavia just nodded. Being told she had to give up her life long dream was a lot to take in but it was unavoidable. She had already put herself and all her fellow... uhh... monsters I suppose... as well. If some one found out then there would be trouble for every one.
"What are my options?" Octavia asked. "You could work full time here, you could part time at a diner and the rest of the time work here. You could probably also help me DJ since you wouldn't have to do much more than help me set up and take down, maybe hand me a drink every now and then." Octavia tapped her chin with her hoof and decided on the option that would probably get her the most money. "I'll work with you, do the waitress gig, and work here probably." she had always been an over achiever, why stop now?
"Seriously? Talk about workaholic, what ever though, fine by me." What Octavia didn't know was that in her head Vinyl was fist pumping right now, happy that Octavia chose her. Either way she got Octavia to sign all the paper work that needed signing and got out of there to go do her gig at the club down the street from the hovel.
Octavia was walking back from the hovel now to where she and her friends were staying with Rarity. She did a lot of thinking on the way back. She thought about things like, I wonder what the job will be like, will it be hard, and why did Vinyl suggest that I work with her, I'm sure she had plenty of other options, is a DJ's assistant even a real job? From there she started thinking about Vinyl Scratch for a while but stopped when she realized she had starting thinking about how squeezable... You know what, never mind what she was thinking about. None of you people need to know any of my fetishes, let's just move to the next paragraph and pretend this never happened. Alright? Alright.
As I was saying... She was walking home thinking about stuff and all and had actually nearly gotten there before Carrot Top just kind of, popped out of the ground in front of her. "There you are! where have you been all day? I've been looking for you for hours so you could play with my... I mean me!" Octavia just looked at Carrot Top and raised an eyebrow. "You know... I don't really want to play with you right now, you're too seem to tired to be any fun." Octavia just laughed, tired was an understatement. Moving and doing all that stuff at the hovel today was more than enough to tire her out. She wasn't as tired before because the transformations kind of give you a shot of adrenaline that you can go off of for a while, but once that's gone your pretty much done.
Of Vampires and Werewolves
alright guys, I've decided to rewrite this story. It wasn't getting anywhere and I started bringing in some of the characters I wanted to develop more too late. Hopefully you'll have a new first chapter by the end of the year. No promises though, school has been buggering me a lot as of late, apparently that want to try this new project based learning thing but let's be honest, everyone knows the entire program is bullshit. I've gotten four projects going at the same time from the same teacher that all had to be done at the end of the month, not small projects either. On top of that my other teachers had a whole bunch of projects they wanted me to do as well. But enough about me, you want to hear about the story.
I've decided that for every chapter I will randomly choose one person who PM's me, not comments, and will feature their pony of choice or described OC in the next chapter of the fan fiction. You can also tell me if you want to me a lycan/werewolf(pony) or vampire(pony) or have some sort of occupation but no promises on any of those either, I will keep it in mind when writing though and I will add the cameo.
