Flash Sentry, envoy of Princess Cadance and Prince Shining Armor, escorts them to Twilight's palace with a secret mission in mind: Win Twilight's heart. A wrench gets thrown into the mix when Twilight's own guard captain, Tempest Shadow, catches onto Flash's plans and interferes.

A heated escalation between them leads to both being trapped together, witnesses to a scandalous affair. Tensions, among other things, progress to a fevered pitch.
