The colours of love

"Oh hey Rainbow" Scootaloo said to me.

"Hey Scoots" I answered back

We tried to avoid the subject of the kiss, and we did very well. The party went off without a hitch,  and the princess was happy with it but she kept insisting it wasn't necessary because it was an informal visit. After the party I walked Scootaloo home, I didn't like it when she walked alone at night there was some creeps in the allies who didn't bother me but they always bothered Scootaloo.

"Rainbow?" Scootaloo said "Was the kiss real or on impulse?"

"Scootaloo. It was as real as the night sky. I do love you but you know we cant be together, you know to other ponies it would be wrong since I have known you since you were just a filly." I said with the most regret i have ever felt.

"Yeah I know Rainbow I guess we have to just stay friends."

I could see her eyes watering she knew I loved her and I knew she loved me.

We didn't talk for the rest of the night. We got to her house I turned to her and kissed her on the cheek "sorry" I said. She walked in and before she closed the door she turned to me and said "I'm not". And that was the last time I saw her for months.

3 months later

I was walking down the street with Fluttershy when she turned to me.

"Have you heard from Scootaloo?" Fluttershy asked

"No. Why?" I answered

"Well I heard she was coming back from Manehattan, And she will be home tomorrow."

I stood there in shock "I didn't think she would ever come back" I thought to myself.

"Are you okay?" Fluttershy asked

"Yeah I'm just fine." I responded

*beep* *beep* There goes my alarm. Today is the day, the day Scootaloo comes home. I flew as fast as my wings would let me I could see the train. The doors opened and there she was the most beautiful mare in all of Equestria.

"Scoot?" I said

"Rainbow!" Scootaloo screamed. She tackled me down and bear hugged me.

"To tight." I said

"Oh sorry."

"So how have you been Scoot?"

"I've been great Rainbow."

"Make any friends?"

"Well yeah I met a guy and we started dating and..."

"And what tell me."

"We're getting married!"

At that point my heart sank and I couldn't speak all I heard from her was well nothing I couldn't bare her loving anyone else.

"Rainbow are you okay" Scootaloo asked

"Yeah it's just that I thought we had something."

"Yeah we did but like you said we could never be together."

"Yeah you're right."

"You sure you're alright?"

"Yes I'm just fine."

She told me everything and by everything I mean EVERYTHING I couldn't bare it any longer so I said I had to do a job for the weather team, she seemed to believe me so I flew off.

I was sitting at home crying my eyes out at the thought I could never be with her. *Knock* *Knock*  I open the door and it was Scootaloo. She was looking at me with those big beautiful purple eyes.

"Rainbow I do love you, I love you with all of my heart, I always have and I always will." Scootaloo said. After that she left, I closed  the door and sat back down beginning to cry again. My crying lasted until I went to bed but it was hard to sleep all I could thing of was "Who is this colt she fell in love with". I eventually fell asleep but my dreams were all about Scootaloo well what I can remember of them. The next morning the weather team was scheduled to clear the cloud's for a nice sunny day. I met up with the rest of the weather team in the town square, we started flying and we got the job done within 5 minutes.

After a few hours I decided to go and talk to Scootaloo,  so I flew to her house I knocked on the door but no answer so  I knocked harder still no answer I then began to scream out her name but still no answer. I smashed her window and there she was on her bed crying.

"what wrong squirt?" I asked

"Nothing and I told you not to call me that anymore." she responded

"no really whats up?"

"I lied"

"about what?"

"I'm not getting married I lied about it all."

"why would you lie?"

"I didn't want you to be kicked out of ponyville if we ever got together."

"Scoot. I wouldn't care if Celestia banished me to the moon our love will go on forever."

"So I guess that means we are together?"

"Yes Scootaloo thats exactly what it means."

"Are you serious!"

"Yes I Scoot."

Scootaloo then started to fly and with the most beautiful smile she turned to me and kissed me. My wings fluttered,  my face blushed time stood still and it felt like my heart stopped then we heard a knock at the door,  it was Twilight Sparkle.

"Hey Rainbow, Scootaloo, I was just wondering if you confirmed the location of your wedding?" Twilight asked with a smile

"Actually I'm not getting married now." Scootaloo answered

"What! Why what happened?" Twilight asked

"Well I was never getting married."

Twilight was shocked she walked out the house I don't know why though I think it may have been because Scootaloo said she could be a bridesmaid.

It has been nearly a week since me and Scoot got together and we still haven't told anypony but believe me we have tried on more than one occasion. We then heard a knock on the door it was Applejack.

"Oh hey Applejack." me and Scootaloo said "Is there something you needed?"

"well I was wondering is there something you have been keeping from the rest of us?" Applejack asked

"uhm well you see me and scootaloo..."

"what is it?"

"Me and Scootaloo are sort of." I hesitated for a second "dating."
