Chapter 1: Arrival

In a vast ocean of sky, a pony sat upon a floating island. The island had no supports and just seemed to float in place. As far as the eye could see, the only thing around were the clouds and the sky. The pony was confused. How had he gotten there? One moment nothing, and then the next moment BAM, he was there. Strangely he didn’t remember anything except his name and his cutie mark.

His name was Dreamur, and he had a deduced that he was a unicorn pony because of the horn on his head. Pretty obvious. His fur was also, a light brown. His cutie mark was a lamp with stars on it, resembling his childhood lamp next to his bed. Why couldn’t he remember anything? He remembered how to breath, the lamp, and all the basic necessities to survive. The only thing was that he didn’t remember anything about his life. Who was he, why was he here, and what did his cutie mark do? Most cutie mark meanings are easy to decode, but his was confusing. What the heck did a bucking lamp mean? Maybe, is helped him skill wise. There was no way to test that though because there was nothing around except sky and clouds.

The island was made of dirt, and was about the length and width of five ponies. Observing his island tiny he noticed a wooden chest near the edge. He recognized that chest. No, he recognized that type of chest.

Without warning, he was blinded by a bright light. He herd voices. When the light seceded from his vision, he noticed that he was in a house. Not his house. Somehow he knew that.

“Cmon Dreamur!” a young filly shouted from another room.

“Coming!”

Dreamur jumped behind a table just as another filly galloped through the room to the other voice. Why had his name been called? Why had someone else responded? Cautiously he peaked around the corner, and eyed the two fillies with suspicion. With surprise he noticed that one of them was him! A younger version of himself sat on the couch with his friend Button Mash. Hmm, he had just remembered that. It seemed that everything that he saw he began to remember. The memories hit him like a brick to the face. How could he had forgotten his friend Button! They had spent so much time together playing video games. They had maintained their friendship for so long until. Button had met another filly who’s name he couldn’t recall. All he wanted to do was spend time with that other filly. They still were friends but didn’t see each other much. He realized that they hadn’t noticed him right in front of them. They continued to play their video game. Dreamur began waving his hooves in front of their faces but they didn’t notice a thing.

“Hey, let’s pause this game real quick, okay?”

He tired to grab their controllers, but his hooves passed right through their controllers and through their bodies.

“What the buck?”

He turned around to see what they playing anyways. They were apparently dueling with swords in a pit surrounded by lava. One had a diamond sword while the other had an iron one. With his iron sword, Button hurled Dreamur in to the pit of lava.

“Cmon, that’s not fair. You cheated!”

“I didn’t cheat! I won fair and square and you know it. Let’s just try again, best out of three?”

“Sure, thanks!”

This time Button Mash threw his diamond sword into the lava, and went to get an iron one. Dreamur turned just in time to see him grab and iron sword out of wooden chest. The flashback ended. Dreamur was looking at the tv one second, then was looking out at the sky. He had finally figured it out. The thing on his island wasn’t just any chest. It was a chest from a game called Minecraft.

Note, Dreamur doesn’t actually see the stats on screen, only we do.
