As the Vault hunter entered a place called the Soaring Dragon, the entire ground shock.

“What the hell was that?” Asked Gaige as the had trouble keeping her balance.

“That was Jack, drilling into the planets core.” Said Maya.

“Seriously?” Maya nodded. “Wow, hey Zero what do you think…” Gaige words died in her mouth when she didn’t saw the assassin was gone. “Where did he go?” All of them looked around and saw that he was gone.

They all wonder how Zero could disappeared like that. “Let’s worried about that later, right now I want to get of this glacier.” Said Mac as he started to walk again.

“Wait a minute, are you just going to ignore that he just disappeared like that?” Gaige asked him.

He stopped and turned around. “I don’t care where why he disappeared, I just meet him, so I don’t know him. Hell, I don’t even know you two, I just meet you so why should I care.” Both girls was a little shocked over what he just said.

“Man, you have a negative view when it comes to others.” Said Gaige.

“No, I just don’t trust others I just meet. I am going after Claptrap, you two came come along if you want, I don’t really care.” Mac started to walk again.

Both girls just looked at each other with confusion. “What just happened?” Gaige asked the siren.

Maya didn’t answer, she walked in front of Mac and put hand on his chest to stop him. “Ok, what’s going on? Why did you flip one eighty? Have we done something wrong?” She asked him.

“It’s not what you have done it’s what you are going to do and that’s to use me and then you are going to ditch me, that’s wrong.” He said with some anger in his voice.

Maya and Gaige was confused before, now they are even more confused. “Why would we just use you and ditch you?” Maya asked.

“Isn’t that in your nature? Isn’t that in everyone’s nature? It has happened to me before and something tells me it will happened to me again.”

Maya wasn’t sure what has happened to Mac in the past, but it didn’t sound pleasant. “Look Mac, I don’t know what has happened to you in the past, but you can trust me on this, I am not going to use you and then ditch you. You have my word on that.”

Mac looked for any sign of that she was lying, she wasn’t. “You are telling the truth, that’s for sure.”

Maya wanted to ask him how he knew that she wasn’t lying, but Gaige spoke first. “That’s goes for me to, I think you are way to cool to betrayal and beside, you gave me your assault rifle back there.” She pointed her thumb where they came from.

Mac studied her face. “You aren’t lying either, that’s something but time will tell.” He walked past Maya.

Gaige then walked to the siren. “What do you think happened to him before he came here.” The mechromancer asked.

“I don’t know, let’s ask him another time, when he is in good mood.” Gaige nodded in agreement. They walked after Mac.

As they walked down the slope the ground started to shake and then Claptrap appeared. “So, uh, I might have tried to stage a mutiny on captain Flynt’s ship before the flash, freeze. Which explains why his men are currently beating the crap out of me. Right, guys?”

A bandit. “SHUT UP!”

Claptrap. “Okay!”

“Just hang in there Claptrap, we are on our way.” Mac told him.

As they walked, Gaige notice a shed on their right, two bandits had tied someone up to a chair and was beating him up. “Guys, look over there.” Mac and Maya looked where Gaige was pointing. “Those bandits are beating up that guy, we have to help him.” They saw that it was the same military guy from the train.

“You are going to tell us where the rest of the vault hunters are and then maybe we will let you go.” Said the first bandit.”

The military just spit some blood into the snow. “I don’t know where they are and if I did I wouldn’t tell you two assholes.” That made the second bandit to punch him. “You call that a punch? My grandmother punches harder than that.” He got punched again.

“You don’t know when to shut up, do you?” Said the second bandit.

The military just gave them a cocky smiled. “Nope, I never learned how to.”

While the two bandits was busy beating up the tide up man, they didn’t notice the three vault hunter coming up behind them.

“You know, beating up a man who is tied up isn’t fair.” Mac told the bandits.

“We know but’s it’s fun.” Said the first bandit. Then they both realized something. “Who said that?”

Both of them turned around and saw a giant pony looking at them. “What’s up?” before they could do anything, Mac smash their heads together knocking them both out. “Take a nap, jackasses.”

While Mac took care of the bandits, Maya managed to free the military man. “Thanks.” He stood up and tub his wrist. “The names is Axton and I haven’t seen you guys since the train exploded.” He told them.

“Yeah, how did you end up here?” Mac asked him.

Axton rubbed his head. “I have no idea, after the explosion I woke up tied to a chair and those bandits was beating me up while trying to get information out of me, information I didn’t have.”

“They wanted information on where we were, right?” Maya as Axton.

“That’s right. By the away,” Axton look at everyone. “I don’t even know your names.”

“I’m Maya, and the girl is Gaige.” The mechromancer just saluted him two fingers.” And there’s Mac.” He just gave him a nod.

Axton nodded his head. “Cool. So, what are you doing?”

“We are going to save a Claptrap, a CL4P-TP unit from a guy by name of Flynt…” Gaige was interrupted.

Then Flynt appeared. “That’s CAPTAIN FLYNT to you, you little shit.”

Gaige rolled her eyes. “Whatever. We are going to save Claptrap from Flynt because he have a boat we can use to get of this place.” Gaige told Axton.

Axton just smiled. “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s save this CL4P-TP unit and get of this glacier.” He then pick up an assault rifle that was lying by one of the bandits, he then cock it. “Let’s kill some bandits.” He then started to run towards the giant metal dragon that was spitting fire.

“Do you think we can trust him?” Gaige asked the other.

“I think so, Jack wanted him dead so yeah.” Maya told the young vault hunter.

For Mac, only time will tell.
