When Mac and Maya finally arrived back at Liar’s Berg, the sun was setting. Hammerlock pay them and them he offered them a place to stay for he night, Claptrap off course complained that Mac hadn’t help him with his trouble. Mac was too tired to listen to him.

They were currently walking back to the house where Mac had first meet Hammerlock, it was the safest place in the whole town thanks the electrical fence.

“I assure you both that the beds here are very comfortable.” Hammerlock told them while walking towards the house, Mac and Maya had to take his words for it. “And I am sure your fellow Vault Hunters is glad that you are alive.” That just confused them.

When they arrived at the house, Hammerlock opened the door and they step inside a living room and there sat two humans Mac had seen before, on the train. One was a little girl who was at least fifteen years old and she was wearing something that looked like school uniform, she had a hood on her head and her eyes was glowing? Her left arm was of metal. She was sitting on the couch fiddling with her metal arm.

Gaige the Mechromancer

The other one was sitting on a shelf and he was sharpening his sword. He was wearing a black suit which has some white on it, he was wearing a black helmet that was covering his face and he had the number zero on his chest.

Zero as a number.

The girl was the first one to notice them. “Hey, is the horse and the siren.” Mac wanted to scream when she called him a horse. “I haven’t seen you two since the train explode, which was awesome by the way.” Not the words Mac would have used.

“Yeah, it was a wild train ride.” Said Maya.

Then Hammerlock step inside. “I see you all have meet, again. I have some bad news, there only for beds so one of you have to use the couch.” Mac and Maya gave him an angry glare. “I am terribly sorry, I forgot it.” He said in embarrassing tone.

Before anyone could say anything, Mac walked over to the couch. “I’ll take it.” He sat down it.

“Are you sure Mac? It doesn’t look that very good.” Maya said in a worried voice.

Mac just waved if off. “Eeyup, I have slept on a couch for a month before I left my plant.”

Maya nodded. “If you say so.” She then decided to ask the other Vault Hunters something. “Now that we know who is sleeping where, might we get your names?”

The girls smiled. “Sure, my name is Gaige and guy with the sword is Zero.” Zero just gave them a nod. “He doesn’t speak much but when he does, he speaks in a launches I haven’t heard before.”

Then Zero decided to speak. “Greetings, I'm Zero/Occupation: Vault Hunter/Just like all of you.”

Maya and Hammerlock just gave him a blank look, they had never heard the languages before. “It’s called Haiku.” Said Mac which made everyone stare at him with surprised look. “What? I know stuff.”

Gaige was the first one to recover. “Whatever, I am tired, so I am headlining to bed.” She jump of the couch and headed to the back of the house. “Talk to you guys tomorrow.”

When she was almost at the door, Claptrap rolled in. “Wow, two new minions. This is great, captain Flynt doesn’t stand a chance now. I’ll get my ship back in no time.” Then Claptrap just realized what he said. “Oh crap.” He look over to Mac who was giving him a very angry look.

They all now look at the robot, Gaige pointed her metallic finger at Claptrap. “Did that robot just call me minion?”

“Yes.” Said Mac, Maya and Hammerlock at the same time.

Gaige walk over to Claptrap and she didn’t look happy. “You listen to me tin can, I am not your minion and if you call me that again, I will let Deathtrap slice you into pieces.”

“Who is Deathtrap?” Claptrap asked in a confusing tone.

The mechromancer extended her left arm forward as small blue bits of data began to form around her as well as in front of her. As she rose her arm up, a large mechanical contraption rose as well. This one was not like that of Claptrap, but instead was a full on machine of death with metal claws as it floated nearby Gaige. Who was just smirking at Claptrap.

“This is Deathrap” The sight of the robot made Claptrap shake in fear. “and don’t you dear call me a minion again.”

Claptrap saluted. “Yes mam, I will not call you or anyone ells a minion ever again, I promise.” Gaige wasn’t sure if she believe him, but she made him terrified and that was enough. She walk towards the door where the beds was and Deathrap followed her.

“I think I will sleep outside.” Claptrap then rolled outside.

Hammerlock, who had watch what happened. “Well, as entertaining it had been seen seeing someone scaring Claptrap twice in one day, I think I’m going to hit the hay. Good night everyone.” He then walked after Gaige. Maya and Zero followed after him leaving Mac alone in the living room.

He took of his bag he had forgotten he had and placed it beside the couch, he then lay down on it and let out a heavy sigh. “What a day, if Dusk had seen what happened on this planet, he would probably have a heart attack.” He then let out a big yawn, he covert his eyes with his hat. “Friends is magic, my ass.” He mutter before he feel asleep.

Mac awoke the next day, he opened his eyes and saw that he was in the same place as previous day. He sat up and rub the trienes out of his eyes. “I need some air.” He got up and grabbed his bag before headlining out the door.

Once outside he could fell the cold wind hitting him in the face, it felt good. He then saw that Claptrap had tugged himself in and was standing beside the door. ‘Huh, I guess robots can sleep.’ He thought to himself. He then heard his stomach make some noise. ‘Time for breakfast.’ He opened his bag and took out a sandwiches, which he had packed with him. He leaned against the wall of the house and started to eat.

While Mac was eating, the door opened and Maya and rest step outside. Gaige was the first one to say something. “I wish that I had taken the cough, bloody Hammerlock snored.”

“Yes, it’s a habit that I am not proud of.” He said with some embarrassment.

Then they all notice that Mac was eating. “Where the hell did you get that sandwiches? Gaige asked Mac while drooling.

“I made it before I left.” He answered with a shrug of his shoulders. They just stared at him, hungry. He let out a sigh. “Fine.” He took out more sandwiches and so they also could eat.

“Man, this might be the best sandwiches I have ever eaten.” Said Gaige as she was eating her fourth sandwiches, the other agreed. “Are you some sort of cock?”

That question surprise Mac, he had never seen himself as a cock before, only a farmer. His mother taught him since he was a young colt, she was the cock in their house not him but that chance one day. When his parent’s died, he was the one who made all the food. His sister Apple Bloom never cared about that stuff.

“Not really, I was a farmer before I got here, never considered myself as a cock.”

They were to say something, but Claptrap beat them to it. “As happy I am to see that you are getting along, I still need help to get to my ship. Are you going to help?” Everyone gave the robot an angry look. “What? Was it something I said?”

Mac wanted to punch him, but he decided not to. “Never mine, let’s just get this over with.” He finished his last sandwiches and followed Claptrap as the robot started to roll out the gate. Maya followed him.

“I will catch up with you later, I still have some work here. I will see you all in Sanctuary.” Said Hammerlock as he waved them good bye.

“Hey, wait for me.” Said Gaige as she finished up her sandwiches and ran after them.

One their way out of Liar’s Berg, they saw Zero training with his sword. The mystery man had accepted some sandwiches but after that he just walk off to do some training, they never saw him eat his food.

“You coming Zero?” Mac asked him, the man just nodded.

As they walked out of the gate, Claptrap started to talk. “Flynt and I had a gentlemen’s agreement in the past: I give him the loot from the bodies Jack ditches in the glacier, he then promises not to torture me for hours at a time. Then he does it anyway. But that ends today! We’re gonna take him out, steal my ship back, and sail to Sanctuary!”

As soon as he was one talking, Gaige leaned over to Maya. “Is it bad that I don’t feel any sympathy for the robot?” She asked the siren in a whispering tone.

“Don’t worry about it.” She whispered back.

Then Flynt came up on the ECHO. “Here’s what’s gonna happen, Vault Hunters. My first mare Boom Dewm is gonna kill ya, Jack’s gonna pay us, and I’m gonna play hopscotch in your chest cavity!”

“Rather unlikely/Odds are not in their favour/Time to go to work.” Said Zero in his usual tone

Gaige just stare at him. “Can you even speak ‘normal’?” She asked him.

“Just ignore it Gaige.” Maya told her.

“Ignore it? How can I ignore that this guy is talking so weird.” Gaige said in a frustrated tone.

“If he want to talk like that then let him.” Mac told her, he had some experience when it came to others talking funny, for him it was Zecora. He still can’t believe that the whole town was afraid of her just because she was wearing a hood over her face and that she was a zebra.

Then Claptrap started to talk, again. “You guys have to be careful taking down Boom Bewm. He’s one of the ‘Ripper’ clan. As in, ‘flesh-ripper.’ I don’t have to tell you why they’re called that.” Mac could only think of one word when he heard that, charming.

Then Jack appeared. “Hey! How’s it, god, these pretzels suck. How’s your day been, buddy? We haven’t really talked much since I, heh, left you all for dead. Hey, you think you’ll freeze to death out there? Nah, probably not. The bandits’ll get you first. My day? It’s been pretty good. Just bought a pony made of diamonds. Yeah, because I’m rich! So, you know. That’s cool. Kay, bye.” They just ignored him.

As jack was done talking, Mac and the rest had arrived at some buildings where there were bandits, which was Flynt’s men. When they saw the Vault hunter, they opened fire on them. They managed to doge some of the bullets and Gaige summoned Deathrap who immediately went into action, the death robot kill two of them. Mac took out his assault rifled and managed to kill two of them, Maya used her siren ability to take out two more, Zero killed the last one using his sword.

“Man, we are here fighting for life and that asshole Jack is living the good life.” She snap her metallic arm, Deathrap then disappeared. “What a prick.” They all agreed on what she said.

They ventured on and then Jack appeared again. “I’m rackin’ my brain trying to think of a name for that diamond pony I bought. I was gonna call it ‘piss-for-brains’ in honor of one you, but that just feels… immature. Hey, maybe ‘Butt Stallion?’ Nah, that’s even worse. Tell ya what, I’ll give it some more thought.” Mac was really hoping that he didn’t call it Butt stallion.

Then Claptrap led them to something that looked like a meat gate, without a door. On the other side of that gate was more building and bandits. Mac had to wonder how many bandits Flynt had, he couldn’t think about that now, they were taking fire.

They all hide behind a metal bar on the ground. “Man, these guys are everywhere.” Said Gaige as the fired a few shouts from her hand gun, killing one of them.

“You can say that again.” Said Mac as he looked over the bar to see just how many there were. “I count at least seven, maybe more.” He told them as he took cover again. He then notice that Zero didn’t have any weapon, took of his sniper rifle. “Zero, catch.” Mac threw the sniper rifle to him. Zero managed to catch it and gave a nod as thank you.

Maya looked at the pony. “Don’t you need it?” She asked him.

“Not really, it never felt right using it.” He then took his assault rifle. “Gaige, catch.” He threw the weapon to young Mechromancer, she manged to catch the weapon.

Not entirely sure what to say, she just said. “Thank you?” You can say that she was confused.

Maya gave Mac a questionable look. “Stop looking at me that way. Like I said, it didn’t feel right.” Then a bullet flew over his head. “Let’s finish this already.” He grabbed his hand gun and got up and put two pullets in the heads of two bandits.

Maya followed she use her Phaselock to levitate one of them and Zero took him out with a bullet to the dead, then one of them tried to run towards Mac, he just grabbed his shotgun and shot him right in the stomach. Gaige then jump over the cover and fire some shots from the assault rifle Mac gave her, she killed the last bandits.

“Well, that was fun. What’s next?” She asked while resting the assault rifle on her shoulder.

Mac walked over to the one he shot with the shotgun and saw that bandit was wearing some kind of mask. “That’s a Psycho.” Sid Maya while walking towards him. “They are a little crazier than your normal bandit.” She told him when she stood beside him. “You don’t have does on your planet?” Mac just shook his head. “Probably for the best, they are pretty crazy.”

They then saw Claptrap roll towards a control panel, he then started to press some of the buttons. “Aaaaaand open!” The bridge fell down.

Then Jack appeared. “I should probably clarify, the diamond horse I’ve been telling you about? It’s not a sculpture, or anything. It’s a living horse that actually happens to be made of, actually, I’ll just go get her. Butt Stallion! Here girl Butt Stallion! Say hello!” They then hear a horse wailing. “Butt stallion says hello.” While he was talking, Mac and the others had killed two Psycho’s that was running towards them with a grenade in their hands.

Then Zero said. “You say stallion/Yet, you also say 'here girl'/Would she be butt mare?” They all gave Zero a confusing look, even Claptrap was confused.

Then Jack appeared again. “Just shut the hell up, freaking bad guy.”

They then walked over the bridge, ignoring what just transpired. At the end, they jump down a hole. Then Claptrap started to panic. “It’s Boom Bewm! AHHHHHHHHHH!” He then started to roller around on panic.

The Vault Hunters looked in front of them and saw someone sitting on a cannon? He was wearing a yellow suit with a yellow mask he also has grenades strap to his suit. “Light the fuses, bitches.” He then made an odd position. Then another guy appeared doing the same thing, the Vault hunters was wondering what the hell they saw.

Boom …and his brother Bwen

He then said. “I’m ready to blow.” Boom then jump into his mortal and started to fire at Mac and the others. They had to jump into cover just so they didn’t get blown up.

“This is insane.” Said Gaige as she and the rest was hiding behind some metal boxes. “How are we going to defeat him while he’s on that thing?” She asked the rest. “I am open to suggestion.”

“I have an idea but it’s risky.” Mac told them.

“At the moment I don’t care it’s risky, I don’t want to die here.” Maya and Zero agree with that Gaige said.

Mac started to explain. “Three of us have to act as decoys, while he busy with that, Zero can take him out with the sniper rifle.” It wasn’t the best plan, but it was all they had, they all agree. “Alright, let’s move when he is reloading. I am going after other guy.”

They all waited for Boom to reload, when he did, Mac, Maya and Gaige sprang into action. Gaige summoned Deathtrap for extra help. Mac’s plan work, Boom didn’t know which one to shoot at, so he went after Maya first, while he was aiming at her, Zero got ready and fire a bullet towards Boo, the first bullet just hit the shield. Zero reloaded and fired again, the bullet hit the shield again. Boom decided to go after Zero again.

While they were busy, Mac want after Bewn. It didn’t take long before Mac found him, Bwem just as tall as Boom. “Get ready to…” That was all he could say before Mac kick him so hard that he flew towards the closet wall. “… take a nap. Idiot.” Mac then just watch as the rest of the hunters took out the rest.

Gaige robot took out some of the psycho while Gaige used her assault rifle, Maya use her powers and her gun while Zero managed to take down Boom’s shield, he then put bullet into his skull.

While Mac and the others had taken care of the enemy, Claptrap had hid himself, avoiding the battle.

Mac walked over to the robot and kick him .”Hey, the battle is over.”

Claptrap didn’t hide anymore when he heard that. “It is? Great, let go.” He rolled towards the big metal gate. “I have to admit, he sure said ‘boom’ a lot.” They arrived to the metal gate, he then started to hit it. “Raggin’ fraggin’ locked gate, ooh! Idea! One of can use the cannon to blast this door down,”

That got Gaige to run towards the cannon while saying. “Dips.” While she was running towards the cannon. Mac and the others decided to get more distant form the metal gate, they didn’t want to get caught in the explosion.

While Claptrap just stood there, looking at the gate. “but DON’T do it until I’m out of the way! Understand? If you shot the gate now, that could cause SERIOUS damage to me.” While he was talking, Gaige had gotten on the cannon.

Maya decided to warn the robot. “Claptrap, you should…” BOOM. It was too late.

They then heard Claptrap yell. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.” And he was gone.

Then Zero said. “And away he goes/Into the frozen unknown/Shall we follow him?”

Gaige jump of the cannon. “That was a blast.” She told Mac and the others while walking towards them. She then notice something. “Hey, where is Claptrap?” She then looked at the gate. “Did I just shoot he gate while he was still there?” She asked them.

“Pretty much.” Mac told her. “Let find out where he is, we need him to get of this glazier.”

They didn’t like it, but Mac had a pointed, they head through the gate to catch up with Claptrap, where ever he was.

There you have it, Maya, Gaige and Zero is the three characters I am going to use, why? They are my favorites. When it comes to the others, I have play as Axton, but I think is a little boring. I haven't played as Salvador and Krieg yet.

I would like to apologize for the action in the story, I am not very good at it but I am trying.
