It was a calm night in the Manehattan, the moon shined and cleared the night sky, the sound of crickets was heard in the grass next to the white house, and the two last guards were ready to check out, and leave the building to their everyday life
"So Jack?" The old bearded guard asked his younger companion, as he packed his bag, and was ready to check out, "Anything special for tonight?"
"You know, the usual," The young red guard chuckled as he packed a bunch of math and history books, and his pencil case to his backpack, "Sitting in the couch, watching some tv and try to get some sleep before school starts."
"You're a good kid, Jack," Frank smiled, "Try not to get into some trou..." Frank stopped his speech as the alarm bell rang. "What's going?" The old bearded green guard asked his young red friend as they went back into the facility. They took their ID cards, and scan their hands to the screen and opened the metal door into the secret laboratories of Fancy Industries . The alarm went on and off as the light switched to from the regular yellow to red. The scientists were already home. It was just the two guards alone in the med wing of the facility, and whatever broke in.
"Call Garry," The first guard told his friend, as he took his gun out, "Tell him we need eyes."
"Alright Frank," The second guard nodded and took his communication device, "Gary, me and frank need eyes on the medic wing, I repeat, I and Frank need eyes on the medic wing, over".
"This is Gary, I see you, Jack. Eyes are on Medic wing over."
"Do you see anything?" Jack asked as he took his gun as well.
"Just a second," Gary answered.
The two guards walked in the wing, passing the machines that made the medicines as they held their guns and flashlights. The place was clean as if the factory was just opened. The place was silent as a graveyard, no sound was but the breath of the guards until the silence was interrupted by the sound of the communication device.
"Alright are you copy there is a disturbance in sector 9," Gary told the two.
"Sector 9?" Jack looked at his partner, "Isn't that where we keep..." Jack and Frank's eyes widened as they noticed the alarm went off. The two guards ran to the northern area of the wing, their heartbeat fast as they could not fail here. The two arrived in sector 9, the place was a small laboratory with hazard symbols, under the title of Project Eques. The guards opened the laboratory, and the alarm went on again. "Gary, are you watching us?" Jack asked into the communication.
"Like a hawk," Gary chuckled.
"Alright keep eyes on the serum," Frank added. The two split. Frank walked slowly through the lab towards the serum as he saw a shadowy figure standing there, searching through the test tubes. Frank couldn't see the face, but he can tell it was a young girl with long hair. "Hold there!" Frank shouted as he pointed the gun and the flashlight at the girl. The light revealed a red hair with yellow lines, a yellow face with blue eyes, and a black sleeveless suit and a gun on her belt. The girl threw the test tubes at the floor and put her hands behind her neck. "Who are you?" Frank asked as the girl smiled and quickly took a gun from her belt and shot Frank in the chest, and she escaped, towards the serum. "Jack!" Frank screamed at the communicator, "Don't let her get to the serum!"
"Roger that," Jack returned, and he ran faster towards the sure. Jack ran as fast as he could towards the serum, but he was late, the girl was already there, holding three test tubes, and standing above the broken glass. "Sunset?" Jack asked confused, "Sunset Shimmer?" The girl stood there, smiling.
"In the flesh," Sunset chuckled as she shot Jack in the leg, put the test tubes in her belt, and ran off, passing the crippled Jack. Jack screamed in pain as his blood slipped to the floor, he couldn't feel his leg anymore, and as he tried to stand and ran after her, the girl was gone.
"Gary! Frank! She got the tubes," Jack said into the communication device, "I repeat, she got Olympus!"
Fancy Pants sat his chair looking at the footage of the girl stealing the tubes from his factory, injured his guards, and escaping from the place, and he was unpleasant. "How did it happened?!"
"Well, it seems you need more guards," a rough voice answered from the other side of the long meeting table, "Maybe more than two, a silent alarm that would contact the police, or me?"
"I didn't ask you here for your sarcastic remark Red," The young white bald man answered angrily, and he took off his glasses.
"But they are some damn good advices," Red smiled in the shadows, "So why would a rich brat boy call his friend?"
"I want that girl dead, and the tubes back, can you do it?"
"How much you pay?" Red asked.
"6,000,000 Dollars."
"Wow," Red gasped, "6,000,000. What is inside the tubes?"
"None of your business, hitman," Fancy answered, "That thing belongs to me, I want it back in a week, and I don't want to hear that a young girl has been murdered in the news, do it stealthily. Do you think you could do it?"
"Remind who took your old man to retirement, Fancy?" Red asked, as Fancy Pants started to get annoyed, and send the information to Red. "Alright, Sunset Shimmer, you are a dead girl. Anything else, maybe a foot massage? Bring food to your girlfriend's house with flowers?"
"That would be all, Red," Fancy answered unamused by the hitman's jokes, "You can leave now." The sound of the door was opened, and the figure which Fancy spoke to was gone. Fancy smiled as he took his phone. "Jenice please inform the black market that there is a job open to every hitman there is. The prize would be 6,000,000 dollars to the one who would bring Sunset Shimmer's head with three test tubes, and tell that Red Reaper is already on the way." Fancy closed the phone and he was seemed amused, "Now it's time that Red Reaper would finally die in peace."
"All right girls," Sunset waved as she separated from her group, "I'll see you later." The group walked each girl to her own business, and Sunset walked around the street towards the mall, hoping to find the known Help wanted sign. Sunset hoped that this summer she would save enough money to go on a vacation out of the city. After what happened to the girls on that cruise, they indeed deserved a good relaxing vacation without monsters or Equestrian magic. As she walked around the street, passing familiar faces of friends from school, she felt something weird, as if a pair of eyes were looking at her, following her every move, and waiting for her to fail at a challenge she didn't know she accepted. Sunset tried to calm herself down as he continued to walk towards the mall, telling herself it's just in her head, but the feeling of eyes watching her put her on stress, making her walk faster and faster, trying to get away from the unknown stalker. Finally, Sunset's fears calmed down as she arrived at the sanctuary called Canterlot Mall.
As Sunset walked through the stores, trying to find the wanted help sign, she again felt the eyes watching her, and she tried to find the one who is following her, but it was the last day of school, and as usual to the last day, the mall was blasted with teenagers going to the great I finished school shopping. Sunset, trying again to keep her mind away from the stalker idea, decided to leave the mall, and she walked to Sweet snack cafe. As she arrived, she was immediately greeted by the familiar smiled of her pink friend. "Hi Sunset!"
"Oh, hey Pinkie," Sunset smiled and she walked towards her friend.
"So, did you find something?" Pinkie asked Sunset as she walked with her to her table, passing tables full of families, couples, and friends having fun. "Don't tell me, you are working at the zoo, no at the bank, no at the diamond shop! I am so happy for you!" Pinkie hugged Sunset, happy for her friend, even though Sunset didn't even tell her what happened.
"Um...Pinkie," Sunset tried to explain the situation, "I didn't get a job yet."
"Oh," Pinkie smiled, nodded in understanding, "I got you, you are waiting for the group, so you could tell the news to all of us."
"No, I meant..." Sunset sighed, "There was something else on my mind, I kind of forgot about the job thing."
"It's okay Sunset," Pinkie put a hand on her friend's shoulder and smiled as they arrived to the only table that wasn't crowded with people. The only one who was next to the booth was a man wearing a black trench coat, he had metal bracelets, covering his wrists, and he wore black fingerless gloves. The man's face was hidden by the newspaper he was reading, and on the table was barely eaten a hamburger. "Excuse me, sir, do you mind if my friend would sit here with you? There are no more seats except here."
"Sure," The man answered without looking at the girls, and Sunset entered the booth, sitting in front of the man. "I would take one chocolate milkshake Pinkie," Sunset ordered as Pinkie winked.
"Okie Dokie Lokie!" Pinke nodded, and in a pink blur, she disappeared, leaving Sunset in the awkward silence.
"So, how is your burger?" Sunset asked, trying to break the awkward silence that was between her and the stranger.
"I had better," The stranger answered without even looking at her. Finally, after a long time of awkward silence, Sunset's milkshake arrived, and before she started to drink it, the stranger put down the newspaper to reveal a blue man with a red beard, red short hair and green eyes, "Don't drink it, it's poison."
"What are you talking about?" Sunset asked confused as she tried to drink the shake, but the man threw it away and pulled a gun, "Wow!" Sunset shouted in surprise and fear, "Are you insane?!"
"Come with me if you want to live," The man told Sunset as aimed the gun at her back, and Sunset had no choice. They got up from the booth, and she and the man walked out from the diner to the parking lot. "Follow me," The man told Sunset as they heard the sound of motorcycles coming towards them, and they turned to see three bikers wearing green and black leather suits riding their motorcycles towards them. The man sighed and he broke the window of the nearest car in the place, and he opened the car's door, "Get in."
"What is going on?" Sunset asked as the man pushed her into the car, and he went from the other side. The man started the car with the hot wires and the two took off. Sunset terrified, tried to ask the man what is going on again, but the man didn't listen, he was focused on the driving as he looked in the sideways mirrors and he saw that the three riders are still behind them. The man tried to get them off their back and he tried to avoid them inside the traffic of cars they were in, but the riders were on their tail, moving behind him as they started to shoot.
"Be a dull and hold the wheel," The man asked Sunset she held her seat tight, and he left the wheel, put his hand and head outside of the car. Sunset, without wasting time, took the wheel and tried to stabilize the car as the man aimed at the riders, and he started to shoot as well. Sunset tried to get the riders off their backs, but she didn't help so much. Two of the riders were moving next to the car, one next to the bearded man, and the other next to Sunset's side of the car. "Alright, I need you to kill him!" The man told Sunset as he shot the rider next to him, but he missed, "There is a gun in my pocket, take it!"
"What?!" Sunset asked the man about his request, "I am not going to kill anyone!" The riders again shot the car, trying to hit Sunset, but missed.
"So do you prefer to die?" The man asked in anger.
"No, but I won't kill!"
The man rolled his eyes, and he finally got a good shot at the rider and BAHM! One rider is down, falling off the bike. The man pushed Sunset out of the wheel, and he got closer to the next rider, one hand on the wheel and the other on the gun, the man got closer and closer to the rider, making him move as the man pulled the trigger, and the motorcycle's wheel was down, making the bike roll over. The man looked at the front mirror of the car, trying to find the third rider, but the third was gone.
"What is going on?!" Sunset asked the man as he put the gun back in his pocket, and he continued to drive, as the chase didn't even happen, "Why those people tried to kill you, and why did you kidnap me?"
"Oh, they didn't try to kill me," The man answered to Sunset's confusion, "They tried to kill you Sunset."
"How do you know my name?" Sunset asked in fear of the answer. The man looked at Sunset, and his hand was on the gun, the man took the gun and suddenly everything went black.
The police arrived at Sweet snacks cafe as Pinkie explained to them what happened. "So I put Sunset next to this bearded guy that red a newspaper, and she asked for a chocolate milkshake, this is my specialty, but this time, the new guy wanted to make it, so I let him, and out of nowhere, the man pulled a gun and took Sunset!" The police officer nodded as the doorbell ringed, and he turned to see a purple woman with pink long hair, a black suit and a dark pair of sunglasses walked in. The woman told the man to walk away, the man nodded and the woman walked to Pinkie.
"Mrs. Pie?" The woman asked.
"Yes," Pinkie answered, "Who are you?"
"I am a special agent, Tempest Shadow, and I'm here to find your friend."
