Equestria's first sin
Walking around Comic-Con is pretty fun, seeing all the people dress up and buying recreations of items from their favorite shows...just be careful what you buy or who you buy it from. After buying Chastiefol from a mysterious cloaked man I suddenly blacked out.
Waking up and looking around I noticed a small pond some trees and a few flowers here and there. Walking over to the pond I peer into the reflection. I had short orange hair and a baby like face. I've turned into Harlequin, from The Seven Deadly Sins. Hearing the clanking of amour, I turn around only to have a spear shoved near my throat. The tip drawing blood from my neck.
A guard who had a dark blue mane with a light blue strip down the middle, wearing purple armour said, "Put down the weapon now!" I dropped Chastiefol and kicked it twords him, landing near his hooves. Another guard picked it up. The captain start talking again, "What are you doing in the royal gardens?"
'the royal gardens?' I thought. "I don't know where the royal gardens are? Where the hell am I?"
He looked confused for a moment but quickly put back on a stoic face, "If you don't want to answer than fine. You're under arrest under the orders from the princesses." I don't even try to argue and simply nodded my head, then all I saw was black.
I woke up in a damp cell, my wrists in shackles with a ten foot chain in the wall. I look up to see the captain with eight other pony horse things. There was a tall white one who had a horn and wings, her hair I mix of blue pink and green flowing in a nonexistent breeze; she wore a write dress with the sun on the stomach.
She spoke up, "Step forward to the bars." I got up and noticed just how tall she was, towering over me at 8' 9", "this," she hold up a small crystal, "is a lying detection crystal. If you lie it will turn red. Tell the truth and it turns green. If you lie even once you will be executed, understood?"
"Completely," I replied the crystal started glowing green.
"Now, who are you?"
My mind went completely blank. I merely did what felt natural. I bowed and said, "The Seven Deadly Sins, Grizzly Sin, Sin of Sloth, Harlequin, King of the Fairies." I stood back up to see the gem still glowing green.
The blue one, whom also had a horn and wings, with a mane like the night sky spoke up, "You're a king? What are you doing braking in to the gardens?"
I turned to look at her, "I didn't, one moment I'm home the next I'm here. Where is here by the way?"
The gem still glowing green, I was answered by the first one, "you are in Equestria. I am princess Celestia and this is my sister princess Luna. Seeing as you are telling the truth you will be put into a guest room and be the acting ambassador for..." She leads of for me to finish.
"The great Fairy Forest princess."
"Yes well it's nice to meet you Harlequin. Armour let him out please." The guard from earlier stepped forward his horn glowing a light blue. My shackles fell off my wrists and the door swung opened.
As I walked out a purple unicorn wearing a purple button up blouse and a dark blue skirt that reached down to just above her knees, walked up to me. "Excuse me, King Harlequin. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what is the Seven Deadly Sins? I heard you say it but you never explained exactly what it was." She had a scroll and quill in her hands.
I gave a small, sad smile, "The Seven Deadly Sins were the strongest and cruelest order of holy knight in the kingdom. Answering only to the holy knight grandmaster or the king himself. Each member was a diamond rank holy knight. However all seven of us were also huge criminals, which is why we were also know as the cruelest. We disbanded after we were framed for killing the grandmaster. We got back together for a time but we never stayed together." The room went silent. You could hear a pin drop from a mile away. Suddenly the silence was broken.
"Yeah right," I turned to see a blue Pegasus with a rainbow main spoke up. She wore a white tank top and black sweat pants. "You a holy knight. Your a little colt, how could you be a holy knight." She started laughing.
I picked up a rock off the stone floor and threw it at her, flying past her cheek and cutting her it. "Hey, what was that for!"
I merely pointed two fingers at her cut and only said two words, "status promotion." Her cut exploded covering her face and wall with blood. She yelled and covered her cheek, blood flowing between her fingers.
"Medic, we need a medic!" Yelled a pink earth pony. A unicorn came running down in a nurses outfit. Her horn started glowing pink and the wound slowly sealed closed.
I looked her dead in the eyes and said, "that's how I became a holy knight, and for your information I'm 1,379 years old." I turned to the princesses, "I would like to go the guest room now, please."
The princesses just stood there wide eyed. Luna was the first to recover, "Of course King Harlequin. If I remember correctly captain Amour said you came here with a spear. We'll head down to the amoury then head to your room for rest."
She was about to walk away when I said,"it's fine I got it."I held out my hand towards the wall, "Sacred Treasure Spirit Spear Chastiefol, come forth." Large, thick roots started to sprout from the wall. A large flower bloomed with Chastiefol in the middle. I grabbed it and turned to Luna. "Please lead the way princess Luna."
"O-of course. Please right this way," she started walking down the hallway with me following close behind.
We eventually reached the guest room. Luna turned to me, "I'm sure you're tired so please get your rest. I will send for a servant to wake you up for dinner."
I bowed to her, "Thank you princess Luna and please thank princess Celestia for me. You didn't have to do this. I am now in your two's Dept." I stood back up," and I hope we can be great friends."
She stood there for a minute with a blank stare. After a few seconds she smiled, "and I hope we can be too." With that she turned and walked down the hall. I entered the room, put Chastiefol by the bed frame and passed out as soon as I hit the bed.
A Proposition From a Certain Princess
I awake to the gentle nudge of a soft furry hand. I open my eyes to see a pegasus mare in a maid outfit. Unlike the other pegasi however, she has cat like eyes and bat like wings.
"It's time to wake king Harlequin. The others are waiting for you at the dinning room." Her voice was soft, almost like a mother talking to her child.
"I-I'm up, I'm up. Just give me a second." She backs away as I sit up. I start to think back to earlier. I'm really in another world aren't I?
"Sir, we really need to go quickly please." I nod my head and reach for Chastiefol as I stand. "Sir I don't think it's a good idea to bring a spear to dinner if you ask me." She says with a slight chuckle.
"I guess you're right, don't want to look like I'm trying to intimidate them or anything." I look back to Chastiefol. 'hmm, I wonder if I can turn it into a pillow like king could.' I start to think of Chastiefol as more of a pillow instead of a spear. It took a little bit but with a poof of smoke I'm holding a light green pillow with dark green rings.
I turn to the sound of clapping. "That was very impressive king Harlequin. I've never seen somepony do that before."
I chuckle a little, "Thank you, I assume they won't have a problem with me bringing a pillow. Will they?"
"I don't believe so no, but please we are late as is. We need to go." I nod and follow her out of the room.
We reach the dinning room door with more than a few stares. "Here we are sir. They are just inside." I thank her and head in. The first thing I noticed was the uneasy stares that followed me as a sat down between the purple unicorn and orange earth pony.
"Excuse me King Harle-" Luna begins before I cut her off.
"Please just king, it's what my friends call me and it's quicker to say. I also apologize for cutting you off princess Luna."
She gives a small smile. "Polite now aren't we king, well in that case let me offer you the same courtesy. Please just call me Luna; but as I was saying before, why did you bring a pillow with you to dinner?"
I look down at Chastiefol in my lap before looking back at her. "Actually this is Chastiefol. I turned it into a pillow seeing as bringing a spear wouldn't make me look any better than I already do."
I turn to look at the blue pegasus sitting across from me. She shifts uncomfortably under my gaze. She changed into a grey t-shirt and jeans. Her cheek was bandaged up. "I'd like to apologise to you as well. It was immature of me to do that to you. I can get quite defensive at times, especially after being locked up. I hope you can forgive me."
She stared at me for a few seconds before replying. "It's alright dude, I'd probably do the same thing if I was in your place. Name's Rainbow Dash by the way." She seems to relax a bit, if only a little.
"Since we're on the topic of introductions." I turn to my right and look at the purple unicorn. "I'm Twilight Sparkle. It's nice to meet you king."
"I'm Rarity Belle. It's an honor to meet you. But if you don't mind I would love to check out your clothing. May I also see what your pillow is made out." She reaches out her hand over, palm facing up.
"Oh, miss Rarity I don't think you want to touch Chastiefol. When it's in its pillow form it's made completely out of water moss. I wouldn't want to ruin your white fur or dress." She seems disturbed by that fact but she settles down.
"Howdy partner." I turn to my left to see the orange earth pony. She had on a plaid shirt with dark denim jeans. Finishing up her look with a stetson on her head. "Name's Apple Jack, It's nice ta' meet cha."
I turned to a butter yellow pegasus with light pink hair. "Hi my name's Fluttershy." It was barely above a whisper but I think I was only able to hear it due to my heightened senses as a fairy.
Suddenly my vision was full of nothing but blue. "Pinkie sit down will you." Twilight said.
The pink puffball sat back in her chair. "Hiyamyname'sPinkiePieIcan'twaittothrowyouawelcometoEquestriaparty!" She spoke so fast it was hard to understand her.
After introductions were out of the way we went straight to dinner. After dinner we all said our good nights.The maid from earlier approached me.
I was about to walk back to the guest room when Luna stop me, "King do you have a moment."
I sat back down and waved the maid away momentarily. "Of course I do Luna. What do you need?"
She looks off in thought trying to search for the right words. "Do you think you can tell me a little bit more about the Seven Deadly Sins?" I was a little shocked to say the least.
"Sure, sure, just give me a minute to get my thoughts together." I'll need to remember what I can about the show.
After a few minutes I finally speak up, "I already told about how we were holy knights, but we're also criminals. Before you ask, I don't really want to talk about it. We were respected, feared, but most importantly we maintained the peace. Whenever something went down we were the ones who stopped it before I got out of hand."
Before I could keep going Luna speaks up, "Well, how would you like to restart that order again. It will be under my jurisdiction and you will not need to answer to my sister unless I can't give you orders. You can pick the members and control it how you like as well. What do you say?"
I had to think about it for a few minutes. Eventually I answered, "Sure, I'd love too. I have a few conditions though."
"What may they be?"
"One, I need the overview of the worst criminals ever. They have to have done something to get to the point where they were wiped off the books. They can't be ponies either. Two, they get a ceremony where I will personally brand them with their sin. Is that ok?"
She blinks a few times before answering, "I can guarantee the ceremony and applicants, but if I may ask. Why would you brand them?"
I raise my left foot and pull up my pant leg showing a bear branded on my calf. "Every sin is branded with the mark of a beast that represents their sin."
She thinks for a few moments, "Ok I'll allow the branding. I'll have staff on the side to patch them up afterwards. I'll get you a list by tomorrow. Have them picked out by next week. The ceremony will be held the very next day. Understood?"
"Yes, I understand Luna."
"Good, now go get some rest. You'll need it for tomorrow." We say are goodnights and head off to our rooms. I place Chastiefol on the bed and pass out almost immediately.

The Ceremony and New Sins
After a week of grueling paperwork and a lot of convincing on Luna's part, the day of the ceremony has arrived. Celestia felt it was necessary for the rulers of other countries to join in watching the ceremony, as a new order of knights is a rare occurrence. The girls decided to stay for the ceremony as well. What they didn't know however, except for Celestia and Luna, was that the new members were max security prisoners. I've already met with them and gave them a deal. They get immunity for there past crimes and given freedom at the cost of becoming a knight under my command.
Three dozen guards entered the grand hall with Captain Armour leading in six people all of a different race. A dragoness, Minotaur, Diamond Dog, Thestral, and a Buck. They were in nothing but a rag to cover their genitals. Arms and legs were chained together. After being lined up they were uncuffed.
Celestia spoke up, "Today we are here to see these six become knights of Equestria, under the rule of Princess Luna. What you may not know however, is that these candidates are some of Equestria's worst criminals. So much so, that their names were removed from the history books and hidden away from the world." This lead to the shocked faces of everybody in the room.
She continued speaking, "This may have disturbed you but as this is not my order to control. I can not disband them I I wanted too. Without further interruptions I present to you, King Harlequin of the Great Fairy Forest, and Captain of the new order."
I nervously step forward and give a small bow, "It is a honor to meet you all," I stand back up, "I and Harlequin, captain of the new order of knights. Today I am going to brand them with the mark of a beast. The reason behind that is because the beast represents their sin against Equus. Now without further a due, let's get on with it shall we?" I turn and head down the steps in-between two stands with burning hot coals in them. The one to my left had five iron bars sticking out, while the one to my right only had one.
I put on a stone face and commanded, "Dahlia, step forth." The dragoness steps forward. She had dark green scales covering her body and her eyes were a steel blue I walk towards the left stand, grabbing the left most rod. I walk back over to Dahlia and proceed to press the rod just above her left breast. She didn't seem to be fazed by it. After pulling the rod away the symbol of a goat was left behind, "For your crimes you have been branded as the Goat Sin, Sin of Lust. No go get checked up by the nurse and step back in line." I point over to the nurse in the corner for after the branding. She merely nods and walks off.
"Next, Mika step forth." The diamond dog walks up. She had golden yellow fur with bright green eyes. I head over to the the left stand and exchange the rod for the second left most one. Walking back over I press the rod onto her right arm. She hissed in pain and the smell of burning fur was stinging everyones' noses. Pulling back the rod a dragon biting its own tail forming a circle was left behind, "For your crimes you have been branded, the Dragon Sin, Sin of Wraith. Now head over to the nurse and get back in line." I got a pained grunt in return as she walked away.
"Next, Midnight Shadow step forth." The Thestral
"Next, Adisa step forth." I went to change the rods with the inner right one. She had dark grey and black strips with yellow eyes. I came back and pressed the rod onto her let side of her stomach. The hisses but powers through it. Pulling back revealed a fox burn onto her flesh, "For your crimes you have been branded, the Fox Sin, Sin of Greed. Head to the nurse and back in line." She walks over and I call the next one.
"Next, Smokeshow, step forth." The buck walked up as I grabbed the right most rod. He had lime green fur and purple eyes, his antlers were cut off. Walking back I pushed the rod on the right side of his throat. He yelled in pain as a backed off, revelling a boar, "For your crimes you have been branded, the Boar Sin, Sin of Gluttony. Head over to the nurse then back in line." He quickly walked over as I called the final one.
"Finally, Steel Wind, come forth and turn around." The Minotaur step forward. He had white fur with cold grey eyes, his horns cut off as well. I went over to the right stand and grabbed the rod, needing some strength to lift it. I shoved it against his back. He seemed unfazed by it. Pulling back revealed a lion with its mouth open and a scar on its right eye, "For your crimes you have been branded, the Lion Sin, Sin of Pride. Head to the nurse and back in line." We walked over as I put the rod back and walked up the steps.
I lifted my left foot up and pulled up my left pant leg, showing a bear branded on my calf, "And I finish it of as, the Grizzly Sin, Sin of Sloth. I name the new order of knights, The Seven Deadly Sins. The six of them will be taken to a meeting room where we will further discuss what will happen. Princess Celestia, please finish up the ceremony." At my words she turns to address everybody here. The six other sins are escorted out.
"Thank you all for coming to witness the creation of a new order of knights. You may spend the night in guest rooms before leaving in the morning. Captain Harlequin has to meet with his knights and can not eat dinner with us. You can ask him questions in the morning if you have not left yet. However he must get going as we finish this ceremony." I give a quick bow, much to the girls disgust, and walk out.
As I'm walking down the hallway I think to myself, 'This is going to be a long night.'

Establishing Rules and Learning Kings Sin
As I'm walking down the hall towards the meeting room I decided to take a little detour back to my room. Heading back I tried to remember the rules Meliodas made in the show. Coming to the room I head inside to quickly grab Chastiefol, as a pillow, and head back out.
Walking down the hallway I accidentally bumped into a stallion while turning the corner. I was caught off guard and fell on my ass. The stallion had pure white fur and a long blonde mane. It was Prince Blueblood.
"You insulet monkey. You could've ruined my perfect suit. Ugh, how did an animal like you become a captain of a order of knights. Just get out of my sight." He pointed his nose up and walked off. I just sat there confused and a little mad. I just brushed it off and walked down to the meeting hall.
Entering the hall, all six were seated and unnaturally quite. I went to sit down at the head, "alright, why is everyone so silent."
Smokeshow spoke up, "We're only supposed to talk when ordered too." I just stare at him waiting for him to to say he was kidding.
"Seriously, guys; you're knights of Equestria. You're free people now, you don't take orders anymore. Well except from me and Luna, but neither of us is taking away your free speech. Anyways, I'm going to set some rules. Got it?" Each one of them was shocked and slightly over joyed. They gave different variations of okays.
I put on a stone face,"First things first. From now on you will call me captain, understood?"
"Yes captain!" They replied in complete unison.
"Alright, next is the seven laws of the seven sins. However, I'll only be telling you about three through seven. They're the main ones that will be referenced to the most. Law #3, A Sin shall ask no questions of another member's sin. Law #4, If a friend is in crisis everybody needs to use all of his or her power to help. Law #5, When two Sins are in disagreement they can resolve it with a fight," This rule got a few cheers from them, "Law #6, If two Sins are fighting to the death, the other five must do their utmost to stop them even if it means eliminating the perpetrator. Finally, Law #7, Make sure to come together and work as a team every now and then. Is this to be understood?"
"YES CAPTAIN!" They yelled with such force it nearly pushed me out of my chair.
"That's what I like to hear! Now go get settled in your new rooms. I'll meet you at the training grounds tomorrow morning after breakfast." As I got up the others decided to chat a little bit. I was heading down to the dinning room for a late dinner when I ran into the girls.
"Hey girls, how was dinner?" They turned to me with fear present in their eyes. It was obvious that they were scared of me, "Actually, nevermind. I'll see it when I get there." I was about pass them when a cyan arm blocked my path.
"Why did you do that to them." Her voice had a hint of anger as well as fear. I decided to play along and bite.
"What do you mean Rainbow?" She looked like she was ready to explode, but she some how kept it under control.
"I meant doing that to them. I know they were criminals but to do that is uncalled for." I knew what she meant. Branding them just because they did something wrong. It seemed unfair, but life's always unfair. I waved for them to follow as I continued my way to the dinning hall.
"Look, I get what you mean. I really do Rainbow, but you need to understand that they did things similar to what I did. I am branded too as you saw at the ceremony. We have done things that could've destroyed nations Dash. Entire nations, gone by just one person. That's why I branded them. Not to serve as judgement, but as a reminder of their failures and to do better." I couldn't hear them walking behind me so I stop to look back at them. They were shocked to hear what I said, to say the least.
After several seconds Futtershy broke the silence, "A-And what-t did you d-do king?" I had to really sell my act so I looked at the ground, almost as if I was ashamed of myself.
"After supposedly ending Helbram's life, I took on his sentence for ignoring his mass murdering of humans continuously over a period of five hundred years. This came close to sparking a war between humans and fairies. I was consequently sentenced to imprisonment for a thousand years, and was recognized as the Sin of Sloth as I ignored the atrocities committed and turned a blind eye. That's what I did. I nearly started a war and had to kill my best friend because I couldn't except that he was doing those things." I felt tears run down my face and land on the floor. Why was I crying over a fake memory? The next thing I knew I was surrounded and being hugged from all sides.
Pinkie spoke up, "Don't worry Harley, I'll make sure to throw you a super duper party for becoming a captain! So don't you worry got it?"
"Yeah Pink's, I got it. Now can I go get dinner please?" They let go and we said are good nights. I ate dinner silently and went straight back to my room.
I've been practicing to use Kings powers and I can make Chastiefol float for as long as I like. Using its other forms is the hard part as I need to visualize what I want it to be and do. After practicing for a few hours I sat down at the desk in the corner of the room. I began to write about the days events and what's to happen tomorrow. Here's hoping that everything will go to plan. I head to bed and passed out after just a few minutes.

This felt rushed but I couldn't seem to get it done a better way. I'm also thinking of only posting on Saturdays (minus this one) so I have more time to really think and edit these things. But as always, thank you for reading and I'll be writing to you next time
